Askerov è un ottimo Thai Boxer, ma con le regole del K1 risente della velocità e pressione del combattimento.. nella thai tendenzialmente vengono portati meno colpi e a distanza maggiore, mentre nella kick/k1 la guardia, la distanza ed i colpi sn leggermente diversi. Tuttavia, Grande Giorgio e grande Dzhabar, due ottimi lottatori. Invito a vedere qualche match di Dzhabar di thai, la sua espressività è nettamente superiore!

never liked dzhabar...hes a bully fighter, trods forward with his guard up looking for big wild punches. petrosyan dismantled him with knees to the body, low kicks, teeps, and even snuck some punches through his guard. then shut him down with a knee to the liver to let him feel every second of it...none of this "go to sleep" crap

have to admit giorgio is definitely all-round more skilled than dzhabar, however giorgio is lucky he has really good defense otherwise he could of got badly rocked by dzhabars hands, he works them hooks and body rips like crazy as i saw for myself the last 2 weeks when i was training at samui, on the street without gloves, dzhabars punching style would be more dangerous than giorgios. But yep without a doubt giorgio is the better fighter

yeah luck has nothing to do with it...they've both obviously been training muay thai for a very long time. dzhabar just seems to favor heavy punches, where as giorgio seems to favor a well rounded fight game. it paid off big time

I know aper, i'm actually following Petrosyan since the times nobody knew him:) He lost in Lumpini because he had a cold feaver at the time of the match, some actually go as far as saying, he got poisened before the fight because there was allot money to gain. Gevorg and another italian friend drunk some water that was offered to them by a Thai, both got very sick for drinking it, Armen Petrosyan had not drunk a drip of that water and he was just fine.

i agree, buakaw dominated petrosyan in the last match. It shouldn't be a draw at all.

a focus buakaw is still my favourite. example the recent fight against kraus where they gave him a lost and the fans got angry over the decision.

Buakaw is much better than Petrosyan. Look on youtube Buakaw vs Petrosyan, Buakaw was more dominating the match. In Buakaw´s younger years, he would wooped Petrosyan´s ass.

I will always pick him against whomever, but in recent matches he just been getting by, its like he dont have that "eye of the tiger" like he did during the 2003-2006 years, buakaw has alot of respect for his opponents, maybe a little too much. he needs to be hungry and wanted the KO.
