This is an exteneded version isn't it? I saw this movie the other night and was actually surprised how much I liked it given the fact that DePalma movies can be largely hit or miss. I liked this sequence, because it became really unclear exactly what was going on for a moment. Just like the end (small spoiler alert I guess) when the main guy is having his small moment of realization.

The main character in the movie (short guy with glasses in this "video") is an actor who landed the lead role in this video. But I think this is also actually treated as the "second" music video version of this song, too, but not the original video.

I like this movie. I don't think it's among DePalma's best, but still a watchable flick. I think the 2 best performances are by Melanie Griffith and Guy Boyd (who played the investigating cop). But you can't deny the appeal of DePalma's style of making movies during this period! BLOW OUT is the best of this period IMHO.
