Looked you guys up and am a little irritated some of the instructors at Evolution claimed muay thai under Kelly Worden. Who did Kelly Worden learn muay thai under? I started muay thai in the Tacoma area in '97 under Alberto Ramirez and went on to Master Toddy, Luukchang, and Green who are Thai thaiboxing instructors and Master Cairnes. Not once in kickboxing or muay thai fight cards thrown under the UFCF, MTIA in BC, etc. did I see a muay thai or kickboxer from Worden's gym.

@powerof0ne So someone, who is a Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do instructor, who's main background is in Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do took a small amount of Muay Thai and some boxing, and that irritates you? Worden taught a blended system, like many traditionalist do, I don't remember thier guys really doing any competition as a matter of fact, nor do I see it claimed anywhere to begin with. Our club primarily competes in MMA and karate events.

Robert Edwards does not fight MMA. We are not a Sort Karate School, we just compete from time to time to cross train. Its night and day different. You would get crushed in MMA.

Two of the ppl I trained under where friends of Roberts and fought on the national circuit with him. I'm aware of who the godfather is (that was his nickname right?), and respect his style under that rule set. Point is just not a fair comparison to MMA. I'm a freestyle Karate BB and had to learn a lot of Boxing, BJJ, wrestling, and Kickboxing before even being able to hang with low level amateurs. Its a different world by far.

Sport Karate is excellent street defence and great base.

Where are your real fighters? Do you have any kickboxers or MMA fighters? or do you just do this little tip tap point bullshit? Where are your pro fighters?

fighting in the cage is not a fair fight...there are rules the if youhad marines there training they would tell you that on the battle field mma fighters dont generally stand a chance...im the one with a handicap in the cage not your guy

You started shit calling us losers at your rule set and then you back out of ours.... and then use the cliche marines shit try to get an edge. Thanks for the comment...It is not fighting and trying to point spar in a real fight or any full contact event will get your face stomped in, everyone agrees on that.... but it is not useless, its very good for developing speed, timing, and fight strategy.  Mike competes in Pankration and other heavier contact events as well, and the point sparring has helped him a lot.
