it's good to show beautiful image of US army, however nobody wants you in Korea. But I know US army looks like sheeps following their shepherds (US Army HQ/Government) but it's a big shame to expand base without aggrement of farmers and fight against them on their own territory and it's a shame to show Korea needs US army, since its USSR/USA who divided Korea into 2 parts. Making people believe you protect them against NK but all is about military geostrategy against China...Cold war is finished

I can't for the life of me figure out why U.S. soldiers feel the need to rape any South Korean girls, as recently seen with the arrest of two (2) military personnel. I hope they do their time in a South Korean prison. When I was there in '74-'75, you could get a 'short time' for as little as $2 and a 'long time' for $5-$10. Hell, you could even purchase a 'yobo' for the year! Those clowns are an embarrassment.

Hahahahahah this is so funny!! I'm that KATUSA soldier in the video. used to work in Cp. Humphreys at PAO but it's already been 2 years since I have been discharged. I remember I had to do that interview without any prep and didn't know what the heck I was supposed to say. It was actually on one of those Korean national holiday when we filmed it back in 2007. I got there and they told me talk in front of the camera and I was like "sir... what do you want me to say.... LOL" Good times :)

He was discharged becuase hse was a draftee. S.Korea holds Conscription. ALL Korean men between the age of 19~36 must serve the military for 2 years.(term of air force is 2months longer than army) it was limsch87 that volunteered and became a member KATUSA, but his military service itself was obligatory. 200,000 out of 600,000 Korean troops are volunteered PROFESSIONALS, the rest are draftee.. that's why the "draftees" want to be discharged and go back to society real quick.

I would do anything to be back in Korea. Well, maybe not Pyongtek, but that base is HUGE for sure. I am sure Pyongtek will grow to support the influx of military. I really liked Seoul and Busan (Haeundae Beach!)

@johntetzel Yes its recent because the BDUs Uniform that I wore were regular camouflage up till 2001. I got out of the army in 2001 so I don't know the exact date uniforms were changed about 2004?.

So I guess the HQ is moving from Yongsan "Seoul" to Camp Humphreys when the project is completed?
