Yes..... "the installation of choice". What armed forces are you in, that even allow the word "choice" to be used?????? My God, where is my recruiter? I got paid $214 a month in 1971 as an e-4.
What a bunch of crap, All those remf at humphrey got it dicked a bunch of grunts to do there security. That was not my Korean experience. Up at Casey and on the Z in the 70s out of the thirteen (13) months I was there we spent two hundred ninety six (296) out of Three ninety eight (398) in the field or south guarding there Camp. Remf suck! And if you don't know what a Remf is you probably are one.
it's good to show beautiful image of US army, however nobody wants you in Korea. But I know US army looks like sheeps following their shepherds (US Army HQ/Government) but it's a big shame to expand base without aggrement of farmers and fight against them on their own territory and it's a shame to show Korea needs US army, since its USSR/USA who divided Korea into 2 parts. Making people believe you protect them against NK but all is about military geostrategy against China...Cold war is finished
How many life lost? how many life save (safe)? (no matter is Army/ Air force/ Marine crops .....)!
I always remember he said: "There's nothing classified or secret about we do. At the end of the day, it's just all about saving lives!", I am proud of him, he is my hero in my life forever!
6:59 -> "By embracing local construction methods, including high rise structures and underground parking, Camp Humphreys is optimizing land-space in order to conserve our natural resources."
ROFLMAO what the SGT/NARRATOR really means by "our natural resources" is actually "S.Korea's" natural resources.
@yeshuahfullofit I hear you it didn't look anything like that in 1975 when we did the southern security mission from camp Hovey to Humphreys. I wonder how the Business girls are now,
@TheXR750 I bet the 'girls' are doing just fine. They were great 'improvisers'. I can't for the life of me figure out why U.S. soldiers feel the need to rape any South Korean girls, as recently seen with the arrest of two (2) military personnel. I hope they do their time in a South Korean prison. When I was there in '74-'75, you could get a 'short time' for as little as $2 and a 'long time' for $5-$10. Hell, you could even purchase a 'yobo' for the year! Those clowns are an embarrassment.
waaait waaait!!!!.... how does a girl have the airborne patch.. i thought girls couldn't be airborne.. unless it was airborne infantry girls couldn't be.....
Hahahahahah this is so funny!! I'm that KATUSA soldier in the video. used to work in Cp. Humphreys at PAO but it's already been 2 years since I have been discharged. I remember I had to do that interview without any prep and didn't know what the heck I was supposed to say. It was actually on one of those Korean national holiday when we filmed it back in 2007. I got there and they told me talk in front of the camera and I was like "sir... what do you want me to say.... LOL" Good times :)
He was discharged becuase hse was a draftee. S.Korea holds Conscription. ALL Korean men between the age of 19~36 must serve the military for 2 years.(term of air force is 2months longer than army) it was limsch87 that volunteered and became a member KATUSA, but his military service itself was obligatory. 200,000 out of 600,000 Korean troops are volunteered PROFESSIONALS, the rest are draftee.. that's why the "draftees" want to be discharged and go back to society real quick.
Was on the Hump from 89-91, miss it so much, would love to go back dpchrist is right. The people are fantastic and the Culture is great. Innkeepers!!!
Huh? Do you think the soldiers in Afghanistan are banging Afghanistan women? Use your fucking hand. No soldiers on any US base anywhere is allowed to bring women back to the barracks you moron. It's the fucking ARMY not Motel 6.
@boowallie hahahahaha, servicemen I have met have had 2 masters degrees and a HIGH EDUCATION; and that was only one person... You are the dumbest EDUCATED person I have ever seen.
@boowallie Robert L. Howard- 2 masters degress. Me: Bachelor's degree in Fine arts... check me out @ Facebook: Ronald DeGuimera...
Education is important in many soldier's lives. Many come out with at least an associates. You don't know what you're talking about, so please just refrain from posting further and making yourself look more ignorant. Thank you.
I don't really care about what easy major you took or whatever, I'm just saying soldiers are taught to follow orders without question, and that goes against what intelligent people are about. You can get masters in easy areas but you will never be smart.
@boowallie So let me get this straight... Military people follow orders, but people in corporate don't? You don't get dressed to go to work, follow orders from a supervisor that follows orders from his boss, and he from his? Evaluations, get told when to take breaks, how much off time, what time to come in & what time to leave? and you have the nerve to say that WE are pawns? Not just are you ignorant, you are a FUCKING MORON. Grow up, little kid; you are the pawn, and don't even know it.
ROFL look at this meathead rage on youtube. Making up a story about me & then angrily attacking me over it? "YOU'RE in CORPORATE! YOU take ORDERS! YOU fucking MORON! Grow UP!!!!"
LMAO. This is what soldiers do, they make up stories & then in a self-righteous tone, angrily attack it. You're textbook material. That's why we fight all these useless wars. Now, please tell me where I said I'm in corporate or support careers in corporate?
@boowallie Well if you don't work in corporate, what do you work in? walmart? you bag groceries? very nice, bro... Well, take care and good luck with that GREAT CAREER AND EDUCATION that you have, yet here you are- posting on facebook like a 17 year old with zits on his dick. PEACE NIGGA
