  • ron paul is a two face if he wins hed do watever the republicans want him to he d be the gops bitch

  • hopefully we see this again nov 2012

  • Looks like a country that was liberated from a tyrannical dictator from a fascist political party. :P

  • I was in that crowd that night... It was the only time I've ever felt like I was a direct part of American history... In a city where you can often feel so isolated on a street around hundreds of thousands of people, that night we all shared the emotions of a single soul, we danced, hugged, cried, chanted together... You don't often get the opportunity in life to feel quite so alive.

  • lol most of the people in the crowd are students and werent born in NY HAAA!

  • god bless america!

  • lol u saw tht indian at 0:27 it looks like he was about to plant a bomb then he found out obama won he was like wha tth ehell obamamaam wo0t wo0t ok time to kill ...

  • I'm a liberal democrat and totally for Obama, but fuck you for booing at john mccain, he has suffered more for our country then most people couldn't even imagine. he is a real man and a real American. I don't agree with much of his politics and views, but none the less, he didn't deserve that. now palin on the other hand......

  • lovin the gay pride flag.

  • The funny thing is that half of those people were tourists.

  • 00:31 was that a gun?!?!

  • @lifevest1

Yeah, it was my friend's M-16 rifle :)

  • @Kajstura

WAIT WHAT! Its racist for us Tea Party people to have a gun at a rally celebrating the right your friend is exercising, but you can bring one into Times Square, filled with thousands of people?!?!?!

Ron Paul 2012. Because Bush sucked. And Obama sucks.

  • @HalfBornUnicornFetus

because the Tea Party people are racists by definition and btw, it wasn't a gun it was a boom microphone LAMO :)))) We don't own guns in NY, because we don't want to kill.

  • @Kajstura

That explains the fucking crime rate there.NYC is Gods dumping ground for elitist assholes like your self. And yes, the Tea Party people are racist. I dont care. I dont, racism shouldnt be banned. Neither should smoking, transfats, guns, etc. All of which, NYC has banned btw.

  • @HalfBornUnicornFetus And here is the problem, you people need some EDUCATION, because for example, the fucking crime rate in NYC is one of the lowest in the country. Tea Party’s bigotry is amazingly stupid and racist Tea Party bigots threaten violence in this country. BTW, I bet that you're going to Church on every Sunday.

You people are nothing but fucking hypocrites!!! You're the reason why this country is going down.

  • New York City ended up at number 269 in crime in 2010 of all large cities in America according to the FBI. Because the population is so dense the per capita crime rate is incredibly low. When you live in a huge city, you learn to get along or ignore most of the people who start shit. You don't threaten people who are noisy or who act mentally ill, you just ignore it most of the time.

  • @Kajstura I wanted to say the same thing, people needed to be educated. Educated people were the ones that changed america. Young college students finally voted and got the corrupted republicans out of office. The female educated students marched for their rights, college students marched together to get our soldiers back. educated people need to start voting again. Every educated person knows that Ron Paul's philosophy will ruin the economy and more vulnerable to the threats from terrorits.

  • @HalfBornUnicornFetus

what state are you from for calling nyc trash when its one the most wealthiest and educated areas in the US

  • @HalfBornUnicornFetus Tea Party SUCKS!!! You crazy idiots. No ONE WILL ELECT BACHMANN!! NO ONE WILL EVER ELECT PAUL! NOOOO ONE WILL EVR NEVER NEVER EVER ELECT PALIN!!!!!!!!!

  • Obama won I never have to work again.

  • Comment removed

  • Today Proposition 8 was overturned in California, deemed Unconstitutional. This is how we were all feeling today, just like this night. Obama is not going to solve all our problems and we must remember this night, and today as reminder that WE have our own destinies in our hands- Through the hard work, and toil of everyday people, we CAN change! We CAN bring change & make right that which once went wrong! YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN! DO IT TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS! THE FUTURE IS YOURS!

  • i love times square

  • @wrestlingbrian123 This was a just image of New York City- 9/11 was such a tragedy, and I cried along with my brothers and sisters from the other side of the coast for the wound inflected of them that terrible, terrible day. Then, on this night to see all New Yorkers cheer in unison? This was justice. This was redemption. They are still together, still unified. Though we will often times disagree, on this night, they had their well-deserved night. Greetings from San Francisco! :)

  • lol ain't no reason to cheer now eh?

  • MCCAIN LOST HARD

  • Terrific job, I feel like i am there in Times Square. God bless the USA.

  • @ROMELOVER602 stop say god bless america! say GOD BLESS THE WORLD!

  • We already have the south, nothing could be worse :)

  • CookCountry D.....you're a real idiot. Just another typical red neck country ass.

  • your fucking stupid. it makes his victory so much better. i love it

  • @CookCountyDissident So far some of the Republican ballot hopefuls are that psycho cunt Pahlin and fat ass hick Newt Gingrich. I refuse to believe that the country is stupid enough to vote for either one of those clowns. Although, many voted for Bush in '04, so you never know. McCain got his ass BEAT in this election, though.

  • 2:01 people are awesome

  • lol 2:01 BOOOOOOOOO!

  • Those people waited 8 LONG years to scream for joy that much.

  • well said!

  • Shit yeah.

All that celebrating is just how much everyone hated Bush.

I hope a hurricane LEVELS Bush's Dallas mansion. Then Fema DRAGS their ass to "help"

  • i was there!! it was fun

  • "humanity won that day: evil was defeated."

What are you, a Zoroastrian? That's the most black and white thinking I've ever seen. Yes, I'm glad Obama won, I voted for him and canvassed for his campaign, but I wouldn't call McCain evil (perhaps I'd call Sarah Palin stupid and corrupt, but it's a stretch to call even her "evil").

    Peace.

  • humanity won that day: evil was defeated.

  • Lol! People were crazy that day. I knew I was. :)

  • The U.S. history hate it or love it

  • Dude, you can add four or even eight years to that date :)

  • January 20, 2017 could be the first day of Obama's third term if Congress would get rid of the 22nd amendment, which they should so JimmyFormerMarine shouldn't hold his breath.

  • You are a brainwashed idiot. Most Marines are I hate to say that, but its true. Thats what boot camp is all about...

  • Yeah, and like the last eight years isn't something to regret? Pull your head out of your ass, fool.

  • Thanks 4 sharing Kaj. Abraço de Portugal

  • Congratulation for thsi decision from Germany! It's amazing how you Americans can have fun and party in politics :-)

  • IM white and i called it the greatest day in american history. a day that will change us for the better

  • As much as I love Obama, and cherish the historic nature of his election, let's not get carried away. Let's not lose sight.

I'm hoping I don't have to type the obvious.

  • racist fool

its tragic for u, I KNOW U STILL WANT SLAVES BACK SLAVES TO COOK UR FOOD AND UR SHOES

SORRY AINT HAPPENING ANYMORE IF U WANT THAT I HAVE A TIME MACHINE IN MY HOUSE U COULD TRAVELBACK IN TIME WHERE BLACK ARE STILL SLAVE

    PIGHEAD FOOL

  • It's because of his military affiliations I'm guessing. Most people in the military supported Bush because he increased our pay, and saw Obama as a force that would weaken our military. As a navy man though, I don't think that will be the case at all.

Also, why the hell would he want someone to cook his shoes!?

  • fuck i missed it i was right there at mcdonald before going down to the subway to catch the 2 train home so i can watch it on tv.

  • I missed it! I had just left to go to Rockefeller Center to see the ice. Everyone there was pretty tame.

  • Congratulations America!

  • One of the best nights of my life. I was so proud of my country. So proud.

  • I was overwhelmed with pride in America-- just amazing. Someone listened to us-- and we made a difference,

  • You would think that the Knicks won the world championship or something.

  • a similarly impossible fate, LOL

    this was better though ;]

I'm trying to find the count down, did it happen in time square? 10 sec. before obama was about to be announced?

  • this was the most historic night of my life this celebration was huge here at time square imagine inauguration day it will be even bigger

  • there will never be another night like this in the history of the world!

  • Thank you all for all your great comments!

It was just amazing to be in Time Square that night and to witness once in a lifetime experience!

I'm so glad and happy that I'm a part of this!

  • @Kajstura omg!!! i would rather hump a walrus.

  • Great video.... I new he would win, but I didn't think it was going to be like this. I wish I went.

  • I hope the hell this generation can do a lot better than my baby boomer generation. We have screwed up the country and I personally apologize to all the young people of this nation for allowing so many dunces to get control.

  • I'm a NYer but I couldn't make it down to Times Square to celebrate. So thanks for the video..you clearly captured the great moment!!!

  • i'm a new yorker 2 i also wanted to go

  • Thanks to everyone that voted for our new President, Barack Hussein Obama! That's right, his middle name, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Sarah Failin, and John McInsane. None of these things could stop the power of hope in this country!!!!

  • Now I know how the Soviets felt.

  • see the people together and happy, it 's the most beautiful thing in the life

  • Oh man..... Wow!!!!!!!!! So much emotion on what tomorrow can bring. I never witness anything like that from an election.

  • Amazing. Bush would kill for this much love.

  • Bush has been killing for years.

  • I was there and it felt like a New Year's Eve party! Congrats Obama! Fire the liars and make this country strong and powerful again!!!

  • Except New Year's Eve comes every year... this comes once in a lifetime.

  • woo!
