I think if psychologists were to examine the show they would have expected her to break down like in season two. Basically everyone she's ever met, or been nice to, or passed in the freaking hallway has tried to kill her or stalked her or been using her to spy on Clark and my goodness, an average psyche can only handle so much.

I agree with you I blame it on the makeup artist ..they put shitload of makeup on her already naturally beautiful face. She looked better in earlier seasons b/c they use light/neutral colors for her makeup.

there's somthing about taller facial porp, and visual cheek bones etc. her face is skinnier. she just doesnt do it for me anymore. You remember the tension between her and clark that went over like 4 seasons or somthing? It was fantastic. I think Lana marring Lex was the big turn. Her carefully buildup image of 'Holy and Pure' is her hole asset. 'The girl who would be kept away from the horrors of the world'. Once this image is destroyed her popularity is weakened.
