@PatsTurn50In09 maybe not but, if i were to compare his style to any Patriot I would lean more towards Corey Dillon. Not as good or elusive coming out but similar in style. He went for 1,147 yards and 15 tds on a team with out a passing game really. He pretty much carried the team in some games. He'll be a good Patriot and a great complement to Vereen. Great draft for the Patriots again this year.
@Bmp1113 I see Ridley as a short yardage and goalline RB, he'll probably also replace Morris as the situational FB. I agree he fits perfectly with what we have.

@PatsTurn50In09 What I find ironic is that Mallet has all the intangibles that usually make a great NFL quarterback. Reading the field, height, arm strength, etc. It's just the off the field issues but even those are not as bad as say Cam Newton. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if has the best NFL career out of any QB this draft. Of course his personality can be addressed with the Pats system, if he's willing.
Belichick will draft the players he believes can be molded into a New England Patriot. Most of these players have talent. Bill looks for that extra something. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. But when it does . . .

@PowerRangers12345 Bill drafted TFB and Cassell but he also drafted Kevin O'Connel and Rohan Davey (also a couple late round QB's but they don't really matter). Mallett is in a great position though.
