  • I'm glad florida wont be having a revote it's there fault that we got 8 years of bush and because of that we are now in a recession. The only thing florida will do is mess every thing up like they did in 2000.Obama 08!

  • I'm a Floridian and I'm not paying for a re-vote. What the media neglects to mention: FL homeowners happen to be voting on Property tax cuts. Senior citizens who have nothing else to do also voted. So, Clinton's demographic came out to vote. Obama, on the other hand, did not have name recognition, didn't campaign and his minority&young voter base did not vote since it didn't count. Repubs will just steal the FL election in the Fall as usual. I WILL PAY TO RE-VOTE FOR NEW FL POLITICIANS!!!

  • No, tax payers should not have to pay for this mess "again". In some way, shape or form the state, without taxing people for this "again", should come up with the money since the states "again" didn't abide by the Democratic Party rules. "Again", the voters of both states are NOT at fault. The freakin' govt of both states are. This mess is because of them.

  • 1st, both Mi. & Fl. didn't abide by the rules & were well enough informed ahead of time. All candidates took their names off the ballets in both states 'except' Clinton. They aren't stupid. They left the door 'ajar' in case things didn't go well. I feel 4 the voters in both states. They were given no choice & were put in the middle of all this. Clinton is desperate now & wants the re-vote because her campaign is suffering. The PEOPLE have spoken & more 'super' delegates & voters R 4 Obama.

  • It is not fair that the democratic voters of Florida and Michigan will be disenfranchised. Perhaps it is time they have a big protest and strike and let the DNC know that they want their voices be heard. HAVE A REVOTE OR ELSE FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN, COME NOVEMBER WILL LET THEIR VOICES TRULY BE HEARD!

  • Obama voted AGAINST

    counting the millions of ballots

    cast in Florida and Michigan,

    will be your legacy.

It will be recorded as the

    downfall of your dream.

    It is the proof

    and the personification

    of poor judgment.

  • New Hillary Florida Commercial: The red phone rings, it is 3AM, a soft voice says, "this is an emergency can I speak to Bill?", Hillary begins to weep and hands the red phone to Bill, the camera shows the voice on the other end of the phone, it is Monica Lewinski laying in bed and she says, "Can you come over"? Bill then tells Hillary, "Honey, I got to go out to the store and get some more cigars, don't bother waiting up for me".

  • scorpionkings you are such a shill. Troll elsewhere. Geez.

  • markbrow stay the fuck out of this conversation!!

  • They broke the rules and now they have to live with it. Hillary originally agreed to the rules along with all the other Democratic Candidates. However she refused to take her name off the ballot when Obama and Edwards did. She didn't seem to care a couple weeks ago. And now all of sudden after she's losing, she's flip flopping.....

  • Obama insists that rules are rules & Fl & Mi shouldn't count. But is that really a winning argument within the Party? About 2.3 mill Dems voted in those primaries. Remember in 2000, Dems fervently argued that Fl election law was less important than making sure "every vote counted." The party then claimed that holding to the strict letter of the law was tantamount to disenfranchisement. If "voter intent" was more important than the law in 2000, shouldn't it also trump mere party rules in 2008?

  • Remember this..The top leaders in this BS war FULLY support HILLARY CLINTON because of her track record & experience in politics! This is NOT a time for ON THE JOB TRAINING! Personally I would like to see a CLINTON OBAMA ticket! With 4 to 8 years more experience there would be NO stopping him...I would back him 1000%! But not today...

If Obama goes up against McCain...his fancy speeches aren't going to men shit! McCain will chew him up & spit him out..Just my opinion!

  • what experience in politics does she have? Whats her track record in politics? She's been holding on a bunch of lies as "experience"

  • Obama insists that rules are rules & Fl & Mi shouldn't count. But is that really a winning argument within the Party? About 2.3 mill Dems voted in those primaries. • check her record!! You don't have military leaders backing you without an impressive record doing something positive for the country!!

  • Ok, let's make a $5 bet on which player can get it closer to the hole.

I get to see each golfer hit a practice shot and you don't.

Would you make that bet? No because I have a pretty good idea of the outcome.

So Regardless of who your candidate is knowing the outcome of a practice round creates a conflict of interest.

  • The DNC doesn't want to pay for a re-vote. Floridians shouldn't have to pay for it (I'm a Floridian). So, why didn't the DNC, from the beginning, decide that if they weren't going to count Florida & Michigan then they would reduce the amount of delegates needed to win the nomination. That is, if Florida and Michigan delegates total 100 (I don't know how much they really are), then just reduce the total delegates needed by 100. Someone should have been thinking ahead and done that.

  • Doesn't knowing the outcome of the first make it more to the advantage of Hillary. If Obama won FL and Hillary was winning in delegates they would not ask for a revote. So my point is you can't go back now. FL and MI are gone. Howard Dean messed up here, Puerto Rico has more of a say then FL and MI now. Nice going Howie. Maybe another Howie scream is appropriate. Wake up people, your votes are being mismanaged by party hacks.

  • Don't turn this into a racist fuck up with bullshit remarks like this!! "If Obama won FL and Hillary was winning in delegates they would not ask for a revote"!!

  • Racist! Try to stay on subject. Do work for CNN or something.

The point is we all know the outcomes of FL and MI. So it is disingenuous to change the rules now. Of course Hillary people will say 'let's count all votes' What do you think they will say, Hillary is an egomaniac and I will pervert all rules and standards in order to become President.

My point is you can't go back because the knowledge of the outcome taints the request for a revote. Therefore it's over. Howie messed up!!

  • She wants the votes counted so they'll be a clear winning, not because she is trying any under handed BS...It makes more sense to have both of those states counted than rely on what the super deligates say..

The golfers are doing it for fun.

    Let's say I win.

Now I say no let's do it again because I 2 guys are on the tee.

  • I c what your saying! Lots of things have changed since those states voted though, who knows what the out come could be now?

  • Yeah, but she's trying to get the Superdelegates from Fl and Mi. In the process of demanding Florida re-dos, the Obama campaign is forced to fight for Michigan to offset Florida. If she wins both, she'll net probably over 25 superdelegates.....

Clinton campaign once again stoops to new lows.

  • Why is everything Hillary does equal "stooping to a new low"? She WON Florida & Michigan so of course she is going to want both of those states to be counted...I would if I was in her shoes! So would Obama.

  • You seriously don't think she is stooping to new lows?

    Wooooow...

She didn't win Fl. or Mi.

How can she/anyone declare victory in a state which was prohibited to particpate in the nomination contest?... twice...

and then expect to be allocated the delegates simply because you had an epihany (i guess a year in the making) realizing that voters where being "disenfranchised". In her place, Obama would want new elections but he wouldnt declare that he automatically got those delegates.

  • The votes in both states showed a CLEAR victory for Hillary even though she didn't gain any DELEGATES from either state because both states FUCKED up and did not follow the Democrat schedule! Your very smart don't show ignorance in your argument now!!

  • The fact of the matter is that tens of thousands (very likely hundreds of thousands) did not vote.

If the Clinton campaign's core argument is about "disenfrachised" voters, then it's their obligation to fight for ALL of the "disenfranchised" voters. Not to simply count the votes already tallied in two optional contests.

Sooooo, you can't say it was a "clear victory" because you need a do-over if your truely are advocating full democracy.

  • HEY I'm all for a NEW vote in both states, if that's what is decided by the DEMS!!

And thousands of people don't vote...so that statement is meaningless!

  • Here's my problem: the clinton camp wasnt initially for a NEW vote. She was more interested in geting the delegates and then disenfrachised voters.

But now that she realizes that the DNC will never allow the first vote to be counted, they changed course and started protesting for NEW votes in the states.

Do you get it by now? Its not about thousands who don't vote; it's that people were TOLD that their vote wouldn't count so they might as well stay at home. Soooo....

  • I totally understood that point...I thought we were past this?

  • This news clip is moving. Its on the most viewed page, but I urge you as a commrade of different views. Please watch this so you know what I refer to as the Clinton camp "stooping to a new low".

    /watch?v=xtAja20kTCA

  • Already watched this video! Florida wants to be counted...Why you think that has anything directly to do with Hillary I don't understand my friend!!?? The entire Democratic party wants Florida & Michigan votes to be re-casted or they fear the Democratic party is going too be in deep sh@%$@%t!!

  • /watch?v=ULxxBz-PAjg

Florida and Michigan are all part of the Clinton-kitchen-sink strategy

  • You all realize if we don't do something we might as well give MI & FL to the GOP in Nov.

  • mulligan ?

  • Fuck Florida. Give it to Cuba.

  • ließt das nicht !!!!IN 12 TAGEN STIRBST DU WENN DU DAS NICHT UNTER 10 VIDEOS SETZT

  • Think for one sec if you were one of the 2million who voted for Hillary in either Mi or FL, what would you want her to say? Thanks for coming to the ballots, it doesnt count or I'll fight to make your vote count...

  • this is a contest with, believe it or not, RULES. It's unfortunate that this has happened, but if you play a game and you break the rules, there will be reprocussions. "You can't change the rules in the middle of a game"- Howard Dean. Plus, if Fl and Mi dont get seated, it wont be the first time certain states havent weighed-in on nominations (Pa, Ms, Wy others) because they were late on the calendar. And these states include millions of americans too. So... it has happened almost every 4 years.

  • I would want her to please vote for her or caucus for her again and apologize for telling us to do so the first time since I knew that it wasn't going to count anyway..

  • I agree that Hillary should be fighting for those delegates. I mean, she's losing; she needs all the delegates she can get. But those at fault are those in charge of the FL and MI legislature, not the DNC. They warned FL and MI and they took it upon themselves to move their primaries up. It's an unfortunate situation but I don't feel that the rules should be changed now.

  • From a g.E. viewpoint Hillary has won much more electoral votes than oBama, now u could say the dems win MA,NY,CA anyway, but that's why OH is the key. And we all know Hillary is much stronger in OH that Barack.

  • This is the most outrageous ruse yet by this Hag. Wanting to change the rules after the fact when it appears it might benefit her! How is this any different from the insane ploys of the Repubes? It isn't. Might as well vote for McCain. At least he speaks the truth as his limited intellect understands it.

  • look at it from a GE perspective, if McCain wins the same states Bush won in 04 (incl FL & TX) plus NH( where Kerry barely won in 04 & McCain is very popular) McCAin wins, if HRC who beat OBama in OH even though being outspent 4-1 can win OH in a GE, we win. I think HRC battles McCain tougher in OH, even winning, and OH is everything in the GE in 08

  • They originally scheduled their primaries knowing it violated the party's rules. There is no constitutional right to vote for party primaries. A political party is a private entity and sets their rules. The time to reschedule the vote should have been before holding the first one.

It's absurd for the DNC to spend $25M for another vote, and the state won't do it- it's Clinton who wants to do it- shoot the party in the foot.

  • hillary wins against mccain in some polls. Hillary won all the HUGE democratic state. if hillary wins, half of obamas support will go to her. How will she not win? If obama wins, Mccain will attack his records. When the world finds out he has voted present or not voted at all in nearly 20% of the senate bills, then it will show his leadership abilities. Hillary's skeletons are out, Barack's is slowly being shown and his "above politics" demure will ruin him when people find out his flaws.

  • I wonder who the republicans who didnt vote in those states, would vote for? hmmm..??? If this was voting for president it would be different. But its voting for the candidates of a party which can be manipulated so easy in this kind of situation. Too little to late.

  • go ahead... vote again in florida... see what happens... obama still is going to have more delegates

these states ARENT winner take all...Hilary won the big state Texas 51-47 and she was allocated 1 more delegate than Obama for the primary...

And if the superdelegates vote against the popular vote and elect the one with out the majority; I and many other democrats will defect.

Go ahead see what happens... I dare you... I guarantee Ralph Nader will be more than happy to accept our votes

  • What? Everyone's name was on that ballot, no one campaigned and Hillary won the state by quite a margin. I think she'll win it again.

On issues, Hillary and Obama don't disagree. They would just execute policies differently. She has the Hispanic vote behind her. Cut her off the ticket and McCain could easily score with his Immigration friendly policies especially in Florida where there are so many Hispanics. Same in Texas. Obama opposes Amnesty.

  • Hillary held a fundraiser in florida right before the primary and i count that as campaigning.

they held a primary, but not everyone went because many knew that there where no delegates associated with the votes.

I last time i checked, Obama was for amnesty...

  • I heard Obama ran commercials in FL, he said it was an accident b/c he bought a regional ad package..ok, FL was a fair vote, obviuosly the voters didnt know it didnt count, b/c they turned out in record numbers; MI should be revoted, lots of whining from the campaign of hope

  • dont act stupid. He paid for the commercial on a NATION-WIDE channel. Do you get the Fox News channel? or the CNN channel? or MSNBC? Yes? Well the commercial came on this channel that goes nationwide.

  • Also, Obama has won largely in small states, mostly Republican dominated states. Obviously, they're anti-Hillary. He won't win Republican states in a general election. In Democrat dominated states, she won and she picked up a swing state against Obama. Two, if you count Florida. No one campaigned, but everyone's name was there. With the Hispanic population of Florida, she could win it.

Obama, I think, will be weaker in the general election. The Republicans would get the swing states. Hil

  • So let me get this right... DEMOCRATS in these Republican states are anti-Hilary?... Or did you meant to say: "Republicans in Republican states are anti-Hilary"?

Why would DEMOCRATS be anti-Hilary and pro Republican? Theses people are what you call "Republicans"... But if what your saying is true, this is very sad news.

Call me crazy, but i think Democrats will vote in a majority for a Democrative canindate and vice-a-versa for Republicans... not because of gender, race, or polarity...

  • No. Republicans are anti-Hillary and they can vote in Democratic primaries. And all the Republican-majority states that Obama has picked up against Hillary in the primary, he won't pick up in the general election against McCain.

My point was that if Hillary can win swing states like Ohio and Florida that's decided past elections, she needs to be the nominee. Obama might win Ohio, but not Florida. It's huge hispanic base would be tempted by McCain who's friendly on Amnesty while Obama isn't.

  • All you Clinton supporters do is make EXCUSES.

    List of Clinton Campaign Excuses:

-Caucuses are un-democratic so don't matter

    -Only the big states matter

-We shouldn't follow DNC rules whenever it disadvantagous

    -We are being out spent

-We can attack Obama but Obama can't attack us

-Delegates or popular vote doesn't matter

-And now, people are anti-hillary in some states so its not fair

I bet theres a lot more "anti-black president" individuals than "anti-hillary". sooooo...

  • SOOOOOOOO I think your a whinny baby...Jesus STFU...If there were more anti BLACK PRESIDENT people than ANTI HILLARY people...CLINTON WOULD BE LEADING now wouldn't she?..DUH!

  • The CNN exit polls showed that 10% of the total people who voted in the Texas Democratic primary were "republicans for Hillary"... sooooo...

Hillary is winning blue states. Obama is wining purple states. In a general election, Obama will get both but she'll win only blue.

Lets be real. McCain will probably get the hispanic vote in both Texas and Florida if EITHER one got the nom.

  • Republicans are voting for Hillary because of the popularity factor, they find that they might not be able to beat Obama. He's new and he doesn't have her history. Hillary, I think, is the more viable candidate--but she has a history the Republicans can easily exploit. Thats why anti-Hillary Republicans will still vote for her. The party would quickly united behind a too liberal McCain than allow another Clinton. Earlier on they wanted to stop her period, now some think she'll be easier to beat.

  • I am not sure if this is a reply to me because I was talking about this. Nevertheless, early in the race anti-Hillary Republicans could have easily voted against her in Democratic Primaries. As time went on and Obama has become so popular, even among Republicans, the trend shifted to voting for Hillary as did many of my Republican friends, here in Texas, to unite the party against a common evil that they see as antithetical to Obama--she polarizes not unifies the country.

  • are you a clinton supporter? wondering...

  • My views on Clinton could not be lower. Watch Clinton chronicles and watch\listen to Larry Nichols recent interview with Alex Jones. Not to mention her dealings with Peter Paul where they have her with proof of a felony. 52 people were killed around clinton investigations.

Obama has some issues like Larry Sinclair - which is on youtibe.

As far as black and white, nobody is black and nobody is white. These are terms used by people that want to divide or use them to get people charged up.

  • "As far as black and white, nobody is black and nobody is white." AMEN!

    The irony is...

Technically, Obama will not be the first "Black" president. Based on what the United States of America designates as "Black" or "White"; Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge are all former presidents with black ancestors. And now we are finding out that Eisenhower may also had black ancestry...sooooo lol

... dont believe me?... research it :)

  • I believe you! You know you stuff....sooooo lol have a good one!

p.s. Obama still would not be the first "black" president since none of his ancestors came from AFRICA!! ;)

Don't believe me look it up? lol piece

  • are you being... sarcastic?... hmmmm?... sarcasism is difficult to tell on the internet. Because im pretty sure that Obama's father was African...

  • I have to say that little bit of nothing between Clinton & Peter Paul isn't anything that concerns me in the least! OBAMA'S dealings with an out and out CRIMINAL does concern me a great deal, & I'm not that thrilled with his dancing around political topics with his GIFT for speaking, making people over look the FACT that he is ONLY a first term senator! And ready to vote him in to the MOST important job on this planet..President of the united states!! He will be a great great leader someday!!

  • Mypanicattack says "I and many other democrats will defect.

Go ahead see what happens... I dare you..."

this is like saying if the guy up before me doesnt hit a home run, I'm gonna strike out on purpose..go ahead I dare ya

  • dude...you make no sense... "I'm gonna strike out on purpose..go ahead I dare ya"... how is this analogous to what i said?

  • b/c you'll vote for Nader who we all know has no shot, just b/c your mad your democrat didnt get the nod, their virtually identical on issues and their voting records.

  • your ASSUMING that i'll be angry if Hillary got the nom because i'll be bitter. When the fact is; I was planing on voting for Hillary until i listened to Obama. Soo your statement holds no water.

This is why I would vote for Nader (since you obviously werent listening when i explained this):

I'll be mad that the popular vote would be overturned by "superdelegates", Clinton has gone back on her word concerning Fl. & Mi., and the rules would have been changed to favor one canindate. = Robbery

  • were talking about 8 days they moved the primary up?! yes, the republican led FL legislature were wrong when they voted in April 07 to move up the date by 8 days, The DNC waited until August to tell them the delegates would be stripped, why wait so long? All the DNC did was punish FL voters , to what show up the republican legislatures,"oh yeah repubs?! move it up & we wont count our votes!!!" how stupid does that sound!!!!???who does it punish? who are these secret men who make these rules??

  • Well, without those 2 states with about 30 million Americans, how can you claim you are a uniter of UNITED STATES?

  • baKeD94565, so you think it's good that millions of voters don't get their say? I guess you'd support the idea of just letting the people in Vermont vote for president, wouldn't that be fine?

  • After everything is said and done bottom line is, neither Obama and Clinton can win the presidency without Florida and Michigan...so a remake primary has to take place. What is wrong with a remake? Isnt it more democratic to include two states. Its a remake! Everyone will participate. Those who didnt vote can vote this time. Those who changed their man can do so. How is this bad?

  • It is impossible to claim the nomination with superdelegates alone and not two states, leaving out 2.1 million people. There will be a Michigan/Florida remake. Superdelegates voting twice? Yet milliosn of citizens dont get their say? Is that democrasy?

  • People of Florida & Michigan should feel disenfranchised, & take that anger out on their states party leaders/governor for breaking the rules by moving up their primaries. The leaders knew they'd lose the votes and delegates and did it anyway. Charlie Crist and the Republican lead state senate knowingly disenfranchised the voters, & should be held accountable, no one else.

  • Also... why does DNC even have to pay for the mistakes that Florida and Michigan (not the people, but the higher officials) have made? It seems really ridiculous to me.

  • Hilary focuses on "big" states. So what? CA and NY will not go for republicans. As for TX, it won't go for democrats either. So, does Hilary's victory in TX really matter? In fact, she won't even win in TX because of the caucus result. The same argument applies in FL, where a Republican nominee is likely to win in November. Overly simplified, but this almost sums up what will happen in November. For swing states, Obama will perform better based on the primaries and causes so far.

  • Florida will go Hillary again because the Demographics are there for it. People over 30have to hear these misguided kids have orgasms for obama when he hasn't done anything for our country so why shouldn't experienced Florida voters count?

  • It's not a voter suppression issue. The democratic leaders in Florida took it upon themselves to move up their primary so they could have a greater impact on the nomination process. As a result of their actions, the DNC took away their delegates. It's a shame the votes won't count, but this isn't the DNC's fault, this is the responsibility of the democratic leaders in Florida. Because of their actions all Floridians have to suffer.

  • JimmyP wrong, the republican led FL legislate, moved up the primary in April of 04, the DNC waited until Aug to "punish" them" by taking away denmocratic delegates?? like the repubs would give a fuck?

  • You're right. I had written that wrong. I don't know why I didn't pick that up because I always read my comments before I post them.

They took away Republican voters too, I believe, but only half or something like that. But regardless, they were warned that they'd be punished, I know that much.

  • Jimmy,

    thx

its just to bad they bungled this so badly

especially FL afetr 2000! Thing is we have to do something, either re-vote, I'll kick in 10 bucks towards it..lol. but if everyone did that theres the money for the revote.

  • Also, I take offense to your "misguided kids" comment. Obama has a wide range of support from various demographics, as does Clinton. None of them are "misguided kids". Voting doesn't take age (other than being 18)or experience, and to say it does shows an utter lack of common sense on your part.

And considering the fact that Obama is only a freshmen Senator, I think he's done plenty for our country. Do a little research before you make claims like that.

  • Drudge Report has Rev. Pastor John Hagee saying don't mess with Florida on account of Catholic Supreme Court Justice Whores John Roberts, Sam Alito, William Kennedy and Antonia Scalia, in direct communication with Pope Benedict XVI, disfavor Armageddon at this time!

  • The 4 unforgivable sins of Hillary Clinton:

1.) This. You agreed to these rules, you should play by these rules. Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan!

2.) Conflating Obama with Ken Starr-most disingenuous tactic since the swift boating of 2004.

3.) Fear tactics. Personally, I want the guy who didn't vote for Bush's war, answering the phone at 3:00 AM.

4.)Negative campaigning. She bashes the message of hope. What does that say about her? END THE OLIGARCHY, VOTE OBAMA!

  • This is crazy! Hillary is like a child screaming for a candy bar. She can't win by following the rules SHE AGREED TO, so she tries to get delegates from states where SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE CAMPAIGNING.

    SHAME ON YOU HILLARY CLINTON!

  • Florida and Michigan knew the rules and consequences for breaking them!!! there is no do-over, fuck that!

  • The ones who want the vote should pay for it.

  • Thank you, Bill! That's my senator! :) seatourdelegates(dot)com

  • Also, my hunch is that John McCain will be the next US President!!

  • If Florida and Michigan are not allowed to participate in the primaries, the hard work shown by either Democratic candidate will be for naught. The Republicans will win due to a backlash by Florida and Michigabn Democrata, Hopefully the problem will be fixed,

    Here is the question.

Are the Democrats running to WIN WIN or to lose? ,

  • Obama claims to have judgement? Where was his judgement when he went to the home of Bill Ayers - of the terrorist Weathermen Undergound - for his introduction to the radical liberal politicians in Chicago? Ayers supports Obama's campaign and they are still friends.

Where was his judgement to become a member of a racist church that has a "black value system" and gives an award to Farrakhan for "greatest"? Farrakhan supports Obama.

Another long term friend is Rezko.

  • I am ashamed for thinking of voting for Hillary! She is acting like a Republican attack Bush-dog; I am so over it!

Her and McCain should run on the same ticket, as there is no difference between them!

    I'll vote Obama or I don't vote!

  • Hillary lost my vote with this attempt. Shes shameless.

  • And this, after her "shame on you" comment xP

  • why doesn't someone run on the secession platform? we could cut florida off just south of Jacksonville and let it join the new cuba. they can spend the next century building as many shopping malls and superhighways as they want. millions of fast food restaurants! glorious capitalism. and army of SUV's. and the rest of us can live sensible lives.

  • the fact is, barack nor hillary can win the delegate votes, unless we included florida and michigan. If we dont allow florida and michigan to vote, then Hillary and Barack will have to fight for superdelegates. In doing that, the party will be drastically divided. So it makes more sense to allow florida and michigan to do a revote than for Hillary and Obama to keep fighting till november.

  • How about just letting whoever has the most pledge delegates win? Michigan and Florida broke the rules and screwed things up for themselves. Rules are made to keep order, follow the rules and everything should be fine. Some states didn't and so there has to be consequences. I'm sure Hillary would be calling for those votes to count if she had lost in those states... yeah right!!

  • Ironically you are saying to not break the rules yet you want them to be broken FOR barack. You want it to be whoever is ahead, yet the RULE is whoever gets 2025 delegates. So we bend the rule for barack and only him? Plus the national election is an electoral system, in which Hillary has won all the big democratic states. As popular vote, obama has a slight edge, but in an electoral system, hillary would be dominating right now.

  • no lets not waste money and do over so Hillary can steal the race. Rules are rules stick to them.

  • Hillary Rodham Clinton gets points for having successfully practiced scorched earth politics to win over voters in Texas and Ohio. Attack ads seem to have gone down well with them. Apparently Clinton is willing to destroy the Democratic Party in order to "save" it. Democrats will have plenty of time to reflect on the politics of destruction when President McCain enters the White House.

  • For god's sake stop voting for Hillary. She will guarantee a McCain victory. Get a clue people. If Clinton is the nominee I'm staying home. Four more years of 52% - 48%...no thanks.

  • she is beating mcCain on several polls. Also if barack loses, most of his votes will transfer to hillary and vice versa. Sure there are those that say if _____ wins I will vote for McCain, but most people are not that bitter and emotionally involved. A lot just want a democrat to win.

  • Bottom LINE: Florida and michigan have to do primaries again. It is impossible for Obama to claim the presidency with the superdelegates vote and not two of the most important states in the union. The 2.1 million people of those states have a much bigger right to vote for the president than the superdelegates did..who in fact will be voting TWICE!

  • The whole POINT of the superdelegates is to push the leading candidate over the required number of delegates, due to the proportional allocation system...

  • the superdelegates has nothing to do with proportion or loyalty to districts, etc. Superdelegates can vote (twice) on either candidate base on what they think would be the best for the party. That is why they are considering a revote, because they DONT want it to be base on superdelegates which will divide the party.

  • Florida and Michigan go against the rule. They caused that mess, now they want to be treated special than others.

The Florida & Michigan democrats leaders are all dumb idiots. They expect the country to pay some more to clean their mess?

Vote GOP!!! This showed how dumb the Democrats are!!

  • The only train wreck coming is IF we do another election. Clinton has a huge advantage in both those states, because even though all the candidates had agreed to follow the DNC rules, Clinton didn't want to. She's been pushing hard for those states to be counted, so obviously she is going to have more support in those states.

If we let Florida and Michigan back in, then we're just rigging it for Clinton. We can't have fair elections in those states now.

  • I do agree with you devikkyrn. It does appear to me at least, that Clinton is trying to play "dirty pool" politics with these two states. However, I don't think that FL or MI will get the do-over that Clinton is pushing for.

    WHY?!

I still believe that our political system is not characterized by legalized bribery, normalized corruption and institutionalized graft. I think we'll do the right thing in the end.

  • It's nice to see that someone else believes politics can work. Our system is rather corrupt, but still salvageable.

I hate when people claim that all politicians are the same. First of all, that's just as bad as saying all Mexicans are lazy, or something like that. Second, the people who believe that have just fallen for the tricks used to disenfranchise voters, thereby letting the people in power pick who stays in power.

  • what a mess haha

  • ha ha your head on a plate, repugnitard!!!

  • The super delegates should factor hillarys vitories in these states, into their calculation of which candidtate represents the will of the people.

  • did you not read the above post? obama wasn't even on the ballot in michigan. so why should the superdelegates take hillary's "victory in that state seriously?" do you even know what a superdelegate is?

  • he was in florida..So I think florida is really more for hillary, and Michigan should be a do over.

  • Hillary and Obama both agreed not to campaign in Michigan or Florida because they knew the votes wouldn't count. Obama kept his word, Hillary didn't. So in Florida and Michigan, Obama's name wasn't even on the ballot, there is no way they can count votes without doing it over. You can't change the rules midstream no matter how much Hillary would like to.

  • your ignorant. Obama is the one who campaigned in Florida with ADs agains the rules. HIllary, Obama, and Edwards were all in the Ballot in Florida. I can't believe your love of Obama is distorting the facts. Every Floridian knew about the ads by Obama.

  • Can anyone explain this to me?(I'm not American). They moved their primary up and thought it would count although they agreed before, that it will not count, if a state moves it's primary up?And after they were assured that it will not count, they still spent 18 million! dollars to conduct it?And now they want to spend another 18 million dollars to conduct a second one? Any good reason why they didn't just set it back to the original date in the first place?

  • They moved their primary up because they wanted it to be earlier and therefore more impartant, like Iowa and New Hampshire, they were warned that it would not count, but did it anyway. They can still vote in the election, just not primary. Basically a couple of politicians ruined it for every citizen in those two states.

  • Oh I see. Iowa and New Hampshire were supposed to vote on super tuesday too, but they moved it up, and other that Florida and Michigan they were not punished for it, because of "traditional reasons". Right?

  • I am from Michigan. Florida and Michigan thought if they moved their election dates ahead of schedule they could have more of an influence in who gets elected.

My governor supports Clinton. She thinks Michigan will vote for Clinton. So if a state like Michigan makes the news and shows the rest of USA that this will give Clinton momentum.

    I am voting for Obama

  • Oh I can tell you,I think, almost everywhere outside the U.S. people hope for Obama. A survey-company just conducted a representative survey here in Switzerland:47.7 percent would like Obama to be the next US president, 29.8 Clinton, 4.9 McCain. The reasons are clear: McCain=War, Clinton=People have the feeling that the US are moving away from a real democracy(2 families for 24 years)+voted for the war, Obama=isn't stuck in the old "cold war-good vs. evil" thinking, won't rush into wars.

  • This makes sense to me.

  • that is such a sweeping generalization. For example, among asians, Hillary is popular. Also how do you know almost "everywhere." That is so ambiguous and for certain inaccurate.

  • I don't know it, as I said: it think it. I can only tell you what the biggest fears in my country are in regards to the USA:That you are moving further away from a democracy and that you will go on with the policy of pre-emptive strikes. Maybe you can overlook the vote about Iraq from Clinton, but after that she gave Bush basically the autorisation to attack Iran,by declaring the iranian revolutionary guards a terrorist organisation. Why should we give her the benefit of a doubt? Convince me.

  • Iowa and New Hampshire traditionally go first. They set the tone for the rest of the primary season. Iowa's caucus and New Hampshire's primary happen before Super Tuesday.

  • Wrong. Iowa and New Hampshire were allowed to move theirs up. I am not saying it is right or wrong, but at least I know my facts.

  • Why should the DNC have to play for the state parties of Florida's mistake? Dean is offering them an option that he doesn't have too. Wow.

  • Don't let Florida screw it up again.

  • by this guy's logic, having the DNC pick up the tab for the second go-around is like a son crashing his father's car and then the son says "fine, i'll get a replacement car but you're paying."

  • Any notch on the belt of Florida for fucking up elections. Good job.

  • no do-over. They should not have moved there

primary to hold non MSM candidates back its why they did it thinking they would end the election early. They should have just not tried to fix the election by moving up

  • It's astounding to see this unfold. Total incompetence in America.

  • Our VOTE has to count!!!!!!!
