ROFL I based on the newer movies I don't think the goddamn batman gives a fuck about the street! I mean did you see that scene in 1989 where his car shoots a cable at a streetlamp that swings around the corner? The street is the goddamn batman's bitch!
Ok,wow..a Batman segment Iv enever seen before..and on Sesame Street !!I clicked in after seeing this listed as one of Olan Soules voiceovers of Batman!!R.I.P.Olan..he was the classic cartoon Batman we all grew up with...
I always loved the classic Batman, then the one that followed the 90's movie. I really hated that new "I'm a non trusting, macho jock jerk" Batman that we now have.
Does anyone have the other two Sesame Street Batman & Robin videos, where: 1. They catch Joker and his gang with dirty windows, and 2. Batman throws something (boomerang?) through a window and hits a man (a villain?) Just curious. At least can someone 'fill me in' on exactly just went down in those two? I was scared by them, but 30+ years later might understand a little better what went on. Thanks.
I rememba several B&R clips, but no details. I also rememba being a big fan of those 2, & came face2face with a pair of them in preschool once, & I thought they were the REAL B&R!
Actually, the one with the boomerang was posted about two months ago, so the one with Penguin (not Joker) and the dirty windows is the only one yet to be posted.
Oh Wow! That was great! Oh My God! It also would have been cool if maybe they could have had it in live action as well. Or something related to it at least. But great work nonetheless.
Thanks for posting! kEEP UP THE GREAT work! Great job!

Have a great Sunday, a great week and a great month and a great night tommorrow. Puerto Rican Love from New York City!
Oh man thank you SO much for posting this. Between Superman's "S is a very important letter" and Batman and Robin's "Always remember to cross at the corner", I became educated, safe, and a DC Comics nerd for life! Um...thanks, Sesame Street!
This brought back memories, but the one I'd like to see involved the Penguin. I don't remember much except that the Penguin was hiding out in some shotgun shack. Hope that one is unearthed soon.
These days, Sesame Workshop could never get permission to use someone else's licensed characters in a clip...I miss the days when Sesame Street felt more like "regular" TV!
It's an educated guess--animated characters from "outside" shows are rarer on later episodes of Sesame Street than on the earliest ones. (Last one I saw was Bart Simpson in the celebrity version of "Monster in the Mirror", which is at least 10-15 years old now!)
i watch sesame street with my 2 year old all the time. just lately i've seen conan o-brien, dr phil, and arnold from hey arnold on it... so they still have people from outside shows on it fairly often.
That's why I said *animated* characters...live celebrities are still pretty common, but I'll bet you haven't seen any "outside" cartoon characters on a recent Sesame Street episode.
No, it was Olan Soule and Casey Kasem. They did the voices on Filmation's _Batman_ series, and would continue their roles in Hanna-Barbera's _Superfriends_.
Oh I knew that I just thought it was them two cause it was shortly after there live show ended but also the superfriends had different incarnations over time in the legendary super powers show (84) adam west did batmans voice and in the super powers team: galactic guardians adam west was batmans voice again but in the cartons the new adventures of batman (77) and tarzan and the super 7 (78) adam west and burt ward were batman and robins voices.
Casey Kasem did the voices of BOTH Robin, and, the Joker!

Ahhhh, the true voice of Batman. Even when reading Dark Knight Returns, it's Olan Soule's voice I hear, not Adam West or Christian Bale.

Just imagine if it was the more recent versions instead.
R: "Let's cross right here so we can get him easier!"
B: "Jay-walking? Not in MY city. "

He'll probably get it plea-bargained down to jaywalking and get a suspended sentence.. and sue the city for leaving the manhole uncovered.

Thanks for correcting what I was thinking JHV. I thought Casey Kasem only did the voice of The Joker in this clip.

@Katzi Actually I think Ted Knight did The Joker. But oddly I noticed some time ago that he used the voice that he used for The Penguin.
