@CyberSzabo I used to play my PS3 on an 30" widescreen tube television that costed like $3000. bought around the year 2000. The sound is great on those big things but that's all... After a few weeks I got a PS3 my parents bought an 32" HDTV for less then $600. So I see no reason why not a lot of people play on HDTV's. Notice that most 'gamers' have a Wii that doesn't need an HDTV.
