Finding no copyright, Howard took it to some black market guy and found it to be the real prop ring from Lord of the Rings (9 rings were used, 3 given to the cast, the rest destroyed except 1 which was stolen) They have trouble finding what to do with it (Keep, sell, or return it) Leonard gives it to Penny for safe keeping until he can find Peter Jackson's address to return it.
