@Giovanni60smandear i understand that for Italy he's great and I read about his industry.there he is the greatest. i saw him in two films. he is a great.actor. i like his humour.

i am Ukrainian. I dont know pop music so much. i was interested in bel canto singing so i know old Italian singers like Titta Ruffo, Matia Battistini, this one very old tenor, a king before Caruzo--Tamagno, Titti Scipa and others.

but i also listen to some other music or rather mostly singing.

@Giovanni60smandear and i also , after talking to Neapolitano people,know that U take Your language not as a dialect but independent language. i found accidentally "Carosone, tu vo' fa l'americano" and then talked.

and before--i saw Your language when i sang Neapolitano songs--i dont know Italian but still can read and there were words quite far from Italian.i am not sure but as i remember it went like"Guarda il mare come bello , spira tantu sentimento ,do me tuo so ve accento

@Giovanni60smandear Celentano is a genius--he is kind on the edge, he sings as well as old singers and he also sings like a rock man.i was interested to hear those old popular singers of Italy--then there was a melody and good voices.i heard them in some old films. also i like this very special not so old film"Amico(amici) miei(?) mio".1974?

if U would say about Robertino Loretti--he was great as a boy and there was only one also boy from Austria (?) who had similar voice but not too many songs. or Mario Lanza---he was one of the kind--but they are more classic.

@martpast1 The artist that you have mention are my idols of all times.plus a few more i will mention a few,ELVIS,.THE BEATLES,,.TOM JONES,,,PAUL ANKA NEIL SEDAKA,,ENGELBERT HUMPERDINK ,NEIL DIAMOND,and lots other more.they are the greatest entertainers,but Celentano.is a crazy entertainer,something that Italy has never had before.apart that he is an actor,making his own films. THE CLAN CELENTANO records.is the only original MADE IN ITALY.and yet it all came from the man himself Celentano,ciao.
