  • 7 Dislikes? Ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow

  • aaaaamm shubi dubaa !!!

  • I got the White Album bought new in 1968.

  • 6 people used to like good music, but then they took an arrow to the knee

  • can't we just get the god damn session without all the intercutting?

  • prefiero la otra vercion

  • I like this GROOVY version. BEATLES will live on FOREVER !!!

  • Revolution 1 is the original version. It was recorded for the White album. John wanted it released as a single but EMI said no because it was too long for airplay at that time. Almost all songs on the radio in the 1960's were between 2 - 3 minutes long. So the Beatles went back into the studio and recorded the single version. Because John was a little pissed off, they recorded the new version with a faster tempo, distorted guitars, and angrier vocals. The chords are the same.

  • @drumdog024 Actually, you are wrong. In fact, the flip side of the single "revolution" was Hey Jude".. which was 7 mins long...and went on to be the biggest selling single ever released by the Beatles...while you are right about this being the original version, It was never intended to be a single release. Your claim about it being too long is just what you heard, but at that point, nobody told the Beatles what they could, or couldnt release as a single.

  • 0:54 wtf

  • My friends dad has the origanal white album....not even unwrapped.......its the special edition too

  • 0:14 ...is that a doobie? ...hehe...

  • "Take your knickers off and lets go." LOL!!

  • Paul presents his great dancing skill at 4:33

    nice version anyway

  • Love it!

  • this isnt bad, its still good but the record album is clearly better

  • John at 0:39 looks like severius piton! LOL

  • For hidden messages in Beatles songs search Truth Contest, click on The Present, click on the Beatles section. Thumbs up on this comment.

  • Paul is sooooo cute that I just want to touch His cheeks like He was small baby:)))

  • I would very happily see this version on White Album INSTEAD of no.1 and no.9. There would be enough space for Not Guilty!

  • ...terrible? doesn't suck? friends, this version is The Beatles from inside!!! ;)

  • @pajaroloqo don't worry man, peopel 're stupid :/

  • at the start it sounds normal.in the middle and the end is a mind blowing acid trip.

  • Paul is playing his original '61 Hofner bass there. (well, they were all pretending to play, only the singing was live in the original fast Revolution video) Read Beatles Gear by Andy Babiuk. He explains it all!

  • @njriley55 they 're obviously palying different chords, not even the same song!

  • out... In...

  • Ah ah ah! What is that i see beeing passed in the background at 0:14 and also if its what i think it is can u pass it my way! xD

  • I must say, there was very good drugs back then. James

  • ooh, very interesting! Cool to hear where some of Revolution 9 started. And the backing vocals going "dad and mama" lol

  • am i the only person who thinks this version is terrible?

  • @scalywaguk mmm yeah only you and those two other fags

  • @scalywaguk in a word, yes. great version of a tremendous song.

  • I bet some of you are fellow ZG movers!

  • freakin' hot bootleg,ty............also, 1 of my fav Lennon lines was always @ 1:17 John says "when you talk about detruction, don't you know that you can count me out (in)"@ 1:26

  • I lovee thee Beatless!!!<3333!!

  • 4:23 - I had to close my doors cause mom could hear John's whining lol

    Beatles 4ever.

  • Thirty years ago today. Can't believe John is gone.....

  • Say guys, all I'm hearing here is the 2009 remaster of the the song's White Album version, plus a sample from a segue between two songs from the LOVE album played over and over.

That segue obviously used for the sample herein was made out of a horn piece from the outro of "Strawberry Fields forever", maybe some strings, and some John/Paul/George vocals going "AAAHHHHH" electronically processed for LOVE to match the higher key of the horn and string stuff in the background.

  • & towards the end there's also some of the backwards guitar from "I'm only sleeping" & some John mumbling & groaning from "Revolution #9". Can't tell where the mock high-pitched "la-la" is from, though.

But I agree...overall, it sounds even better than the original album version. Too bad Paul's "Honey pie" wouldn't have matched as a follow-up anymore, the end of this version woulda been great to directly cut into George Martin and that studio engineer talking at the start of "Revolution #9".

  • Who are you kidding? This "video" is just stills from the White album sessions interspersed with footage from the David Frost show (in which they played the fast version of Revolution.) Nothing new here.

  • at 14 seconds, is he passing a joint?

  • @bruceyboysvideos looks like it. lol

  • Just the four of them. Pure and simple. Listen to that bass line!

  • The Beatles NEVER disappoint. WOW!

  • 1:38 Epic Ringo!

  • nice bass work

  • Does anyone else hear him say "in" after saying "don't you know that you can count me out?"

  • @zachinator1 Yes, its clear as day

  • I love this version 'cause she communicate the true jam session sound:D this is the BEATLES!

  • The BEST original Beatles video on YouTube so far! PLEASE PLEASE ME and do loads more!

  • wow. so this is the first version???? damn!!! I like this one better. The 2nd version is in the beatles rockband

  • Dont u know its gonna be alright? LIFE EXPLAINED IN 7 WORDS

  • Who would've known that Glenn Beck would be using this song for his own demented purposes more than 40 years later.

  • Didn't they bury John Lennon's Rickenbacker 325, and Paul McCartney's violin bass?

  • I want the shirt George is wearing here! (and his orange pants!)

  • I actually like this version better! INCREDIBLE!

  • @EricDymond you must have been smoking too much crack....

I bet ur a homosexual as well.

  • buen video

    Beatles Forever!!!!!!!!!!

  • where they passing a joint at like 15 seconds?

  • i was tripping in the end......so trippy

  • Thanks for this, because thus we can clearly see the blues´ roots of rock´n´roll ...!

The tree and the branches, and the Fab 4 of Liverpool at work!

  • Awesome!

  • Fantastic!

  • Katmak21... the video you created for it is really well done! Although it may not seem like much, I liked how Ringo smiles at 2:37 as they sing "it's gonna be alright..."

Really good job and thanks for posting this. - Mike

  • yoko. what a worthless item.

  • LARGA VIDA A LOS BEATLES!!!, amo su musica. Their music will last until the end of our civilization.

  • gosh I love them

  • I like revolution 1 better then the actual revolution

  • was that ringo passing the dutchie on his right hand side EEEHHHAAAA

  • They Laumen was the fifth beatle, but now he is at Roompot.

  • try mixed revolution 1 take 20 and revolution 9, sound great!!

  • now i see our this ties in with revolution 9 lol

  • marry me ringo?

    <3

  • Not only is this unedited version great, this compiled video goes along with it to a tee! Dontcha think?

  • The Fast Revolution has the same lyrics as the White Album (slow) version. Same song, different tempo. I have never cared which one got recorded first. I don't consider one or the other the "original." They recorded two versions because, what I read, John wanted to play it slower. Paul and George wanted to rock it up.

I have always preferred the fast one. JMO.

  • The others thought that the song wasn't single material in the slow version, so john was pissed and made it hard rock.

  • No, the original Revolution single was released as a B-side to Hey Jude on August 1968 earlier than Revolution 1 which came out in Nov. '68, but you are right that it technically is the original since it was recorded first, but Revolution was much faster and had different lyrics than Revolution 1.

  • this is not original version

    this is revolution 1

    try to search revolution original

    you'll see

  • he means that this version was recorded 1st, so technically this IS the original. In fact this was the first song recorded for the White album sessions. May 68 I think.

  • I prefer this version to the original Revolution. The "Do Wop" part is genius.

  • this IS the original version.

  • The Beatles are always my favorite band.

I like their extraordinary talent for songwriting, humor and their charisma.

This version of Revolution with all the new sound effects is new for me and really ....

    it's now my favorite version

  • Well the other three Beatles didn't like either.

  • Dude I've been wanting to hear this version FOREVER! It doesn't suck, the guys are just jamming out. If you're a musician you should know what that feels like! I do and it's out of this freakin' world.

  • @MattHatter Ive been there your tired , and the music comes from deep inside you , making it more original , more edgier, I personally love anything these chaps set to tape , . . . audio as well video,

  • @MattHatter No one said it sucked...

  • @McNJmi Somebody in the comments did.

  • @MattHatter Oh okay.

  • iv never seen this before,,,that was fucking brilliant

  • this is my fav version

  • eat all kinds of chicken roast =D ... =.= lol 6:00

  • take your knickers off lets go

  • 0:31 geoff emerick saying "take 2" :)

  • Nice one. The guy in the orange shirt and black tie. He's almost looks like he's dressed in New Wave... but this is way before then.

  • i thought it was paul D:

  • Katmak21,did you post part 2?

  • kick ass!

  • that kid at :27 with george martin is a very young geoff emerick who helped with the beatles recording experimentations,he quit during the making of the''white album'' because of the friction going on between the beatles.

  • hey! esa version blues de revolution suena genial, aunque la otra es mas ritmica, las dos son bastante buenas!

  • so...this is revolution #9 in it's infant stages before adding more sound effects from the emi studio library and other spoken word items.

  • no. it's simply Resolution.

  • no man recolution 1

  • In this vid you can see the first Höfner bass from Hamburg...it remained as a spare bass for years till the making of this vid...a pity it was stolen a few months later.

    Thanks for sharing fellow!

    Peace♪

  • Actually it was stolen just after the video, by a fuckin bastard...I wonder where it is now!

  • Well...not after the making of Rev...but as you well said... he/she- was/is a.............as you well said♪

Think! "Love me do", please p me &co were recorded with that bass...

    FB.....as you well said.

  • this is awsome this version should have been released too

  • BLISS !

  • Concensus online among Beatles freaks is that the basic track could have been "embellished" using modern recording techniques/trickery etc. Admittedly, it does sound way ahead of its time in terms of the electronic wizardry. But the Fab Four were ahead of the game anyway. Whatever the opinion, it's an interesting and brilliant new version to the one we've grown to know and love on the White Album.

  • It's definitely not "embellished". The entire session for this version has been bootlegged... you can hear its creation every step of the way.

  • this is good stuff!

  • If the tracks were stolen out of the Dakaota, we all know who stole them .. hint his initials are F.S .. none the less .. This Is A Great FIND .. thank you John !

  • I likes this lots : )

  • Wow

I found out that this track was mysteriously leaked in the Internet.

They reported that this tape was stolen a while back from the Dakota, but no one knows how

  • Recorded May 30, 1968, by the way.... not June.

  • una version para verdaderos coleccionistas de corazon de los beatles con la musica de lennon que no deja de impresionar aun despues de muerto que seria si viviese, enseñandole a los rebeldes la rebeldia.

  • GRRRRRRREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GRRRRRRREAT 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is better than finding £50 on the floor! amazing!

  • Why wasn't Lennon satisfied with this version? They could've put it on the White Album like this. I always had the feeling that those two separate tracks (°1 and °9) were the weakest ones on the album.

  • INCREDIBLE

  • This track is just AMAZING!! Better than I could have hoped for. I thought it would be very segregated...first part I the song then part II experimental. That's still the running order, but it's way more of a melding.

The song here is essentially what with know with a few minor differences & overall looser feel, but part tow is a morphing that keeps some of the elements of the song's theme but moves into the experimental realm.

This REALLY should have been on "Anthology 3"!!!!!!!!

    Blessings!
