@dapablo2 See you there sir, gonna' be so good! I don't know too many of the bands playing. I just hear good things about the festival. I real old school vibe to it. Any recommendations?
CARTER USM - the ledgend will never die, i followed these mad fuks everywhere even had a drink with jim bob in glasto! pisses all over today's indy pop rock wotever you want to call it british music industry. 3 words YOU FAT BASTARD!!!!!
cracker post , i love this song , the strawdonkey cd was cracker . anyone interset in fighting or self defence take a look at my FRANCOKRAV comment rate and subscribe .
Great track as so much of their work is, shame they got raped for the rights to this though, so not fair, where does 90% of new stuff come from???
THe guys were great, their crazy carter crew were great along with their gigs, Fruity should sell their old crew shirts rather than 30 something, low fat custard along with gods not dead he is alive would sell loads. (still have mine and the shorts hidden away)
That's not right. I'm British - he's definitely singing 'silly cow'. This song was played on UK radio one. It wouldn't have been played with the word c*** in it.
anyone got this song, or better still straw donkey they can put on bit torrent? its about all i haven't got and one of my fave's, but Carter are TOTALLY unheard of in Oz! Thanks!
excellent - saw them at glastonbury in 92 when they cussed eavis for not letting the travellers in, banned from returning i think, just like bbc did when schofield was given a good shove, no doubt why commercial success evaded them, thwarted exposure as too dangerous for mainstream
saw them in cardiff too in 94ish - deaf for 4 days after
'david icke says he'd like to show us how to love you back to life again now'
Pure class. How the Hell were Carter not as commercially successful as Oasis? The Smiths? Or any one of the bands listed below (well said, GeordieKarl)? They're phenomenal... Guess they insisted on remaining real, and weren't easily marketed on Saturday morning kids shows- but they're one of the truly inspired musical voices of the 1990s generation.
Thanks for the memory, boys- and yourself, Danicoal!
I agree luqas, I loved them pre CUSM. Les & Jim have so much talent, and I often find myself wondering why they didn't explode massively in 90's popular culture. So many of the general public don't know what they're missing.
and its goodbye ruby tuesday , not on the 1992 love album , these are gret live , like the manics , suede, the stone roses , emf , happy mondays , stereo ncs , radiohead, coldplay,
thank you for posting this video! It reminds me of a time, when we were celebrating with the so called Rheinarmee in Dortmund! Have a good time, all the time!
It's pure horse shit that we cannot buy Jim Bob records over here in the US. I can buy absolute garbage like Justin Timberlake or Kelly Clarkson. The music industry is for morons.
excellent. great to be able to connect with so many CARTER Fans, saw them a couple of times in SIR HENRYS in Cork, a great venue that has long since vanished!! CARTER USM The Lennon and McCartney for the working class of the 90's!!
