  • I love it not so bulky like the otterbox but the only downside is the headphone adapter has to be on every time u wanna listen to music on headphones and in your car and cant use 3rd party charge/sync cables only apple oem others wont fit

  • You need the adaptor to listen to music through headphones with out that you are sol you can not just plug your headphones into the phone.

  • it didn't work for me but luckily tested it without my phone first:)

  • is there a part where you can attach a strap or something? just incase you drop it in the ocean? haha

  • It alarmed me seeing the air bubbles coming out of the speaker port when you tested it and even more so when bubbles started to come out of the ear piece port when you were trying to see it work, are you sure that case did not leak in the making of this?

  • @MrPants1970 Don't be alarmed, air gets trapped in the little crevices on the outside and it did make me nervous when I first saw it. I keep the phone underwater for around 15 minutes, afterword I pulled it open and it was completely dry on the inside.

  • Hmmm....Do I want this, or the camouflage Otter box Defender series?

  • hey i heard that some case companies will pay to replace you iPhone if the screen cracks or does something that is supposed to actually be protected from. is life proof or otter box one of them.

  • it doesn't work underwater because the iphone touchscreen is heat sensitive

  • @ourstupidselfs Actually its capacitive, not heat sensitive. A small electric charge from the screen completes a circuit when you touch it as your body is an electricity conductor.

  • That awkward moment when the phone SUPPOSED to work under water, AANNNNDDDDD it doesn't \(.)/

  • It's 80 bucks but worth it.

  • i can go swimming with this?

  • @MarkExodia Yes. But make sure and test it underwater without your phone in it first.

  • do they make them for the ipod touch

  • Top performers: – Nokia C1-01, -40

    – Nokia E65, -40

    – Nokia C2-02, -35

    – Samsung Galaxy S II, -35

    – Samsung Xcover, -35

  • MicroPc magazines Finland tested the most popular phones in winter temperatures

These was the firse to turn off with full battery.. Just chemically unusable at the currently temperature..

    – Nokia N8, -20

The apple phones was the only ones to lose warranty at -1°c.. And errors starts at -5°c on iphone 4s..

  • -20°c to 60°c

  • if i drop it will my iphone break or is the case impact resistant?? O.o

  • @ILUZMW2 Its impact resistant everywhere except the screen (which is glass). I've dropped mine a few times on hard surfaces and haven't had anything break yet.

  • @ILUZMW2 it has 4 qualities that make it nearly indestructable. It can cover dirt, snow, water, and shock

  • @PackerFan4life36 i dont know too much about shock, because it did look like cheap plastic

  • I personally use the Otterbox Case. Its slightly more bulky but the plastic over the front stays solid.... of course, it cannot be used underwater (which seems like a stupid idea to me, if you want an underwater camera, buy a decent one - dont use a smart phone).

  • @CozmoNz Its not designed for underwater photography, although it can be used that way. Its really to protect it from water accidents. I dropped mine in a puddle while it was raining the other day.

  • Iphone 4s shuts down when internal temperature gets between -5 to -10° celsius.. And you also lose warranty at the same time.. So it doesn't matter what case you buy for the iPhone.. It will always be a useless winter phone no matter what case you put it in..

  • @vectraB97 Keep it in your pocket close to your body to keep the battery warm. No phone is sub zero proof because the chemicals in the battery freeze solid.

  • @robfilmmaker samsung galaxy s2 didn't shut down before internal sensor reads =35° celsius.. Apparently apple also use really bad quality batteries because iPhone batteries is always the first to freez in winter tests.. Normal li-ion operating temperature is =20°c to 60°c.. Apple phones is a serious safty hazard.. Need to be removed from the market in Scandinavia..

  • Can they hear you good? Can you hear them good? Was it worth $80?

  • @equlizer Yes, you won't notice a difference in sound when talking on the phone on either end. It is definitely worth it. Just the other day I dropped it in a deep puddle when it was raining.

  • by the way yes it douse come with the case if you buy it in bestbuy i have it for the iphone 4s

  • Tambero tos

  • i dont like too much that because how you te

  • > Doesn't want plastic infront of the screen

    > Wants waterproof iPhone

    > What

  • @TheAppDeveloper Dead wrong sir. The iPhone touch screen measures electrical impulses when on contact with your finger. Through capacitive electronics, can pinpoint the location of the finger relative to the screen. In no way does it use heat. Being underwater basically neutralizes the electrical impulses that are picked up by the screen.

  • is there a protective vent over the speaker that you put to your ear when talking to someone (next to the front facing camera) to keep dirt out?

  • hi this seems like a good case and all but does the plastic over the camera make your photos blurry?

  • @zenlives2sk8 no... over the camera is actually glass that they use in real camera lenses... so it doesn't affect the camera at all

  • ISEAL CASE SUCKS !! DAMAGE YOUR IPHONE DONT BUY ISEAL IS CRAP

  • So I had to comment about the plastic screen. If you didn't want a plastic screen in front of your iPhone, how the hell would you protect it from water? This would defeat the purpose of having a case that is water proof. Plus, plastic is the only choice for touch screen. DOH!!!!

  • @Ankido You misunderstood what I said. Its not that I didn't "want" the plastic, its just that from past experience cases with plastic over the screen are usually bad at transferring input from your finger. I made a point of saying how well this screen works for touch input with the plastic.

  • @robfilmmaker I have the case and I can tell you after the 3rd return, it's too flimsy. I love the water proof idea but for some reason the plastic does not touch the iphone all the time which causes a bubble. Horrible case IMHO!!

  • @Ankido I just bought the case, and I was wondering, if you drop it, will the flimsy cover protect it enough? because I drop my phone alott with my otter box, which is destroyed now from me dropping it.

  • @aleinamarielovesyou As you can see, the case is well protected on every side except the screen. If it lands on a rock/hard object directly on the screen it still could shatter it. Its glass.

  • @Ankido On mine the plastic conformed to the screen after a few days in my pocket. Even when it had the bubble it was still fully usable, you don't even see it when the screen is on.

  • It doesn't work (very well at least) underwater because the iPhone uses the heat of your fingers to detect the touch. The water (in theory) should act as a barrier between the heat of your finger and the phone.

  • the reason for the adaptor is for the headphones that have a thicker plastic around the headphone jack... for instance my bose ones don't fit in... and yes the adaptor comes with the case even if you don't pre-order it.

  • Is it quite easy to get out pockets? cos it really annoys me when it is a struggle to get it out of my pocket.

  • @jjgmenzies Yes, the plastic doesn't grip in your pocket. It slides out pretty easily, unless you wear skin tight pants.

  • @robfilmmaker Wow that was fast, thanks!

  • get a tripod for your camera man

  • I have one HUGE complaint about this case...the Home button is raised so when it's in my pocket and I'm moving around alot like working in the yard, washing car, house work, etc. it likes to get pressed and enable Voice Control and randomly calls people. HUGE P.I.T.A. to me :/

  • @rdziagwa The home button is not raised on the case, its inset. Also, the iphone has a screenlock which prevents stuff like that when its in your pocket. Don't put your phone in your pocket without locking it. I've never had an issue like this and I carry it in my pocket all day.

  • @robfilmmaker With mine, its a raised ring around the home button, if you ran your finger across it you would feel it as well. Also I have a lock on my phone and always lock it before putting it in my pocket, but the Voice Control will work even if the phone is locked. I actually had to jailbreak my phone then SSH in to it and delete the Voice Control app.

  • Do they all come with the headphone jack adaptor

  • @gargundX I think they do now, at the time I pre-ordered it they told me it was included because of the pre-order, but I think they changed their stance once it got released.

  • can you speak without a headset (using only the phone) with the headphone extension attached? seems like a silly question, but i use my non-apple headphones a lot and id hate to keep unscrewing stuff

  • @humanentropy I dont' think so, when you have a plug inserted into the headphone jack the phone I believe switches to look only for the headphone/microphone. But honestly I've never tried.

  • that little cable it comes with is for in case ur earbuds have an L shaped connector

  • @zunelucero Yes, but its also creates a water tight seal so no water leaks into the headphone hole.

  • @robfilmmaker that too. u must have water proof earbuds/phones also tho...right?

  • @zunelucero Only if you plan on getting soaked while using headphones.

  • yesss now i can watch porn in the shower :D

  • Cox cable, you live in Ohio?

  • @whoopee94 Nope, they are in other places.

  • when you see bubbles your facked!! :P

  • @coltonfz There are small groves and indents in the case that trap air and they cause some bubbles to rise when you first put in underwater. It is rather disconcerting when you see those, but my case was fine and dry on the inside.

  • the water absorbs the electric pulse so u cant use it under water

  • @dirtbikeboyz i always thought the touchscreen was heat sensitive

  • @irwintorres727 i asked siri and she said its electronic lol

  • you get the special hedphone jack without pre-ordering

  • Wouldn't one on the multitouch pens work underwater? Just an idea.

  • I just got this case today in the mail for my iPhone 4s and it's fucking sweet!

  • Shock proof is like impact resistance you fucking retard

  • Wat is shockproof? Whose going around seeing if their case protects agsinst electric fences?

  • This guys name is shaky johnson

  • shit review....

  • @SimFizzle shit comment...

  • @robfilmmaker luckily the case is also shit proof....

  • @robfilmmaker shit reply.. great review tho

  • @robfilmmaker shit shit

  • But will it blend?

  • griffin survivor or lifeproof?

  • @local757 survivor isn't waterproof and it's huge.

  • Is this case worth it?

  • @drummerb0y4life Yes, every penny.

  • It's a long story, but I'm just gonna say this case isn't fireproof.

  • @TheMrDamp I dont' think any case by any brand is fire proof.

  • @robfilmmaker my lp case always gets oily bubbles on the screen protecter between the sp and the glass screen. Any tips?

  • @JustDuckySkateTeam Not sure what you mean by oily bubbles. Sometimes the plastic will stick to the screen at first, but mine doesn't do that anymore. Maybe you should really clean it, and the case really good before you put your phone in it.

  • Pros: Protects very well.

Cons: not worth 90 bucks. I think it should cost just as much as an otter box.

  • Shop around, its cheaper online.

  • Got this at my local best buy for 90 bucks. Not that impressed with the white. Black is a much better choice. I was surprised when I put the case on and after a while the water marks disappeared. The one thing I don't like is cap for the head phones, unscrew then put them back on. It's annoying, you could just leave those at home. I have a pair Beats and the jack was built to have a curve and it wouldn't fit with the case. This, which makes me have to use the adapter, gets in the way a lot. Pro

  • @theK9freak Wow, you got royally ripped off by Best Buy. I got mine online for like $70.

  • I have the same toaster as him

  • the screen gap makes this case a no-no for me :/

  • @bloodymere10 After a few days in my pocket the screen conformed to the screen. The gap isn't bothersome anymore.

  • @robfilmmaker but there's still a gap right?? :/

  • @bloodymere10 I don't notice it anymore.

  • Guys DO NOT BUY THIS CASE, electronics generate heat and this case locks it all inside causing the phone to overheat and pretty much blow up.

  • @3jok1ero3 Thats not true, Its designed to not be an insulator. I've had mine for months now with zero issues. I even carry it in my pocket.

  • It doesnt work under the water, because its heat activated through your fingers. Once you put it in the water, it cant sense the heat from the tips of your finders... Maybe if you try warm water..

  • Will it blend?

  • Does it dampen the sound level when listening to music or watching a video?

  • @chadillac2008 Yes, albeit very slightly. You won't notice when talking on the phone, but watching a video or music you can hear a difference.

  • Once I got this case I took... And threw it on the ground!!!! Just kidding I don't have the case, but looking into buying it. Thanks for the review.

  • Does someone know if i can use it for a long time under the water?

  • @xZyxelable I've had mine underwater for 15 minutes and it was fine. I don't think there is a limit, but there may be a limit on depth. Check their website for the specs for more information.

  • @robfilmmaker Thank you! I will, do you use it all the time or do you take it off after you used it?

  • @xZyxelable I leave it on all the time. Its not bulky at all and protects your phone from everything.

  • @xZyxelable On the Official page for the case, it's not designed to be opened often.

  • I can't respond. This is just a test, can I post?!?

  • @kellybethherring You can post Kelly.

  • Nice case..but my defy doesn't need it

  • lifeproof says online that it won't work underwater. I love mine, though, it's not bulky.

  • @kellybethherring You can use the screen underwater, but you can start recording video and then take it underwater to shoot video.

  • @robfilmmaker Good! Im gonna buy one before i go to Malaysia and there im gonna go snorkeling! :)

  • Does the case affect video/photo quality at all?

How good (optically) is the glass/plastic covering the camera lens?

  • @ifergal I haven't noticed any degradation in quality with the camera footage/pics, it has a nice glass lens built into the case. I work in video production so I have a keen eye to quality. There is a noticeable difference in the sound recording though. Its slightly lower, but not by much. But, on the plus side, the case reduced the "wind" sound substantially when shooting video outdoors.

  • @robfilmmaker That's good to know. Thanks for your help.

  • the screen didnt work underwater because it was probably too cold. iPhone screens are heat sensitive so if the water was cold, it wont react. Try warming up the water a little bit and try again, it should work.

  • @LTRemis lmfao!

  • @LTRemis Google translate failure.

  • @robfilmmaker what a jerk

  • Nice video. Bought the case and returned it 30 minutes later. Good design but I hated the way the screen protector fit my iPhone and also the way it looked. Nice if you're going into the Amazon but I'm going to stick with my Otter Box. One more thing - Life Proof cases are priced $30 to high - $87.19 with tax - seriously??? Otter Box is still the best because it's screen looks and feels like the iPhone screen.

  • Can anybody please help me. I didn't clean my screen good and idk how to take off the case. I feel like im going to brake it. If you now how to remove it can you reply to me. Thanks.

  • @xXBigBallerXx23 On the bottom left corner is a little notch. Use a coin to separate the back plate.

  • Does it protect the screen as well? I've seen other cases that protect the screen

  • @jowenisx3 Yes, but its only its tough smooth plastic, feels like vinyl. It wont prevent the screen from breaking if you drop it face down on a sharp rock, but I've dropped my phone many times just on the ground with no issues.

  • So basically the screen is unresponsive under water? Isn't that what we just saw?

  • @tromain27 Yes, as I said in the video, you cant use the screen underwater. So if you want to record underwater footage, you need to start recording before you enter the water.

  • anybody answer this asap.. i got a iphone 3GS. is there one that will fit my 3GS. if so where can i find it

  • @killabuck1000 At this point, the case is only available for iphone 4 and 4s.

  • This doesnt look nearly as good as an Otterbox...

  • @Dornhal Can an otterbox go underwater? Exactly

  • They only make it for the iphone 4 and 4s. They do not make it for anything else. And it does not make thw iphone twice as this idiot in the video says. Probably only 1/4 to 1/2 as thick. It really is a sweet case. I am using it right now. Also the head phone jack adapter does come free with case. I find it annoying how he complains about the screen protector. I mean its a water proof case it has to cover the screen. Duh!

  • @MrRahimhosein the screen looks very cheap and makes your nice phone look like crap

  • @TLJx2REPTILEPARTIES Its not cheap, its the highest quality plastic I've seen for a screen cover. You won't even notice it after some time.

  • Do they have this for iPod touch 4gen

  • if i saw air bubbles like that id freak out

  • Just got mine and threw it straight in the sink!!! Worked perfect!!

  • How do you take the case off?

  • @mrlongboarding100 You have to pry it open with a coin because its watertight. Its not hard, but Its not a good idea to keep taking it out because it wears the seal out. So basically you leave it in.

  • would it fit with a front and back clear coat?

  • @ChevyMan2195 Probably not as its super tight fight. There's no need for the clear coat with this case anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @wadegsanders

It's loose cuz the case isn't built fully water proof, that's why it says to put the thing in water for an hour so that the bubbles inside can escape and that will make it a snug fit tight surrounding so that it will become fully waterproof dipshit

  • Wow don't blow us away with your fuckin excitement and enthusiasm for the case asshole

  • QUESTION!: THE PLASTIC SCREEN OR WHATEVER THAT GOES OVER THE SCREEN YOU SAY WAS KINDA LOOSE, SO HOW DOES THE WATER NOT COME IN WHERE THE HOME BUTTON IS (THE ROUND HOLE) IF ITS NOT SNUG JUST WONDERING. HOPE YOU GET WHAT IM TRYING TO ASK. THANKS 4 THE VIDEO

  • @wadegsanders ok never mind i just found out that there is a home button already on the case so there is no confusion to me anymore thanks tho

  • @wadegsanders The plastic is very tough, its feels more like vinyl, and its basically a dent in the plastic, form fitted over the button. When the case is on you don't even notice it, it feels just like the button normally does.

  • damn i bet u got nervous when u touch the screen underwater n it didnt work lol

  • Is it easy to type on it?

  • @BerendsThomas Yes, you won't notice any difference in typing, it doesn't hinder it at all. The only catch is when you go to move the cursor around with your finger. When you release your finger at the place you want the cursor, sometimes it jumps slightly to the right or left because of the plastic. But you can compensate for it once you learn how it reacts.

  • @robfilmmaker Great! Well. I bought it, and it will arrive earlier than my iPhone, so I will learn it with the case (:

  • @robfilmmaker why would i want to compensate for a $80 case drop it on the face on a rock and watch your screen shatter

  • Rubbish...Do you work for LifeProof?...Tell the folks how long and complicated the instructions are...This is not a case you want to use every so often...Once you go through the hassle of getting the case on you will not want to ever take it off...If you want to return this case get ready for your paying for shipping both ways plus a 15% restocking charge...Worse yet, their customer service is nonexistent...

  • @FREISme I do not work for lifeproof, I'm just a satisfied customer who can read directions lol. You say their "complicated"..really? (sarcasm) The instructions basically are: snap the case together without your phone in it, put it underwater for 15 minutes, pull it out, open it and look to see if any water got in. Wow complicated. (more sarcasm). If you follow the directions you won't need customer service.

  • are there noticable bubbles on the screen.... i saw a video that said if you suck through the speaker hole on the screen it will eliminate these bubbles and tighten the screen... is this true?

  • @brotherburlax3 Not sure about the air suck technique, sounds like bs to me because the minute you open the door to connect the charger it will let in air. Basically, after a few days in my pocket the plastic conformed to the screen and I don't notice any bubbles.

  • Is the plastic over the screen annoying?

  • @mrlongboarding100 Its not annoying, it works surprisingly well. Its not just plastic, its a stiff vinyl type plastic so it feels like the screen. I doesn't hamper the use of the screen at all.

  • @robfilmmaker thanks for the reply :) I ordered mine a few days ago I live in australia so it might take a while to get here but it seems good and i really don't wanna drop my iPhone in water like i did with my last phone :S

  • Lol you should not review anything, you're so fucking stupid!

  • REALLY neat package you got there, sir.

  • I'm in the UK and thinking of getting one of these shipped over. Only worry i have is the screen - does it make it cheap looking, like plasticky? If I knew it was flush with the glass I think I'd be happy getting it. Otherwise, thinking of going for the Gumdrop Drop Tech, although they're only splash proof. Thanks for upload too bud, appreciated. Subbed

  • @ILEGALTEAM Its not cheap plastic, it feels more like stiff vinyl plastic. Its hard to describe, but its not cheap. When I first put it on there was an air space between the screen and plastic. But after a few days of carrying it in my pocket the plastic conformed to the screen and I don't even notice the plastic anymore.
