Contrary to popular belief, fun doesn't come here to die. There is bar night every Wednesday at alpha del. Apartment parties and debauchery almost every weekend and I must say watching a demure classmate from sosc get her crunk on at Psi U is truly a sight to behold. Otherwise if you don't like that stuff, there are lots of on and off campus activities: midnight breakfast and endless study breaks during finals week to name a few. In all, (your name here) just got accepted to UC, hilarity ensues.
I was also raised in Hyde Park, and grew up just down the street from U of C. i have very, very fond memories of attending concerts in Mandel Hall, pizzas at the Medici, and riding my bike through the quadrangle, which was beautiful all year around.
The building at 5:06 is a very old apartment building form the time of the 1893 Columbian Exposition. Originally built to house construction workers of the exposition, they have been continually occupied since then. Mansions come and go, but humble workmen's apartments remain!
I was born and raised in Hyde Park. From 1948 til 1976. Fond memories of a very diverse and intellectual community. But 31 years has changed much of it which I don't recognize. Excellent video & music. Calls for an afternoon visit to Botany Pond.
nice!

very good building to end on. did you live in the pepperland, too, or did you just puke on my floor at one point?

@prophetwindex Thanks. Didn't live or puke there. In fact, I don't recall puking anywhere in HP. Pretty much a geek.

@ironmaven no way, a geek!? well, weren't we all in some way or another... or most ways.

University of Chicago... I really want to go there!
What's the piece playing in the background? It sounds like some Mozart piano concerto.

You lucky dog. I'd love to study economics under Dr. Becker. I'd also love to meet Kenneth Waltz and Richard Epstein
