It is beyond me why people argue on the comments section. Isn't the point just to listen to the artists and enjoy their various talents? Pettiness isn't attractive or intelligent.
Thanks for this live video clip! I used to listen to John Conlee tapes when I was driving across the country to locations where I was working on a film crew. Man, nothing like driving a truck at 3am, open sky full of stars and John's great voice making the miles go easier.
This song is so sweet. I have heard it for my first time today. I listened to the lyrics and I think they are right.The lyrics are what happens in relationships but i know when I have someone that I can trust and I have been very lucky because I found him and hey I plan on keeping him. Crystal =)))

I must say that john conlee is one of the best of the old time country singers still out there when he sings you feel the song inside .another good guy from back in the 80s is earl thomas conley this guy has got a voice for real country music.these guys are slowly going away.i like some of the new music but when you compare there is no question the old traditional stuff is so much better.

@ingwersengrady. This is old school? If it is, then take me back to the older school. I always thought John Conlee fell flat because of too much orchestra, keyboards and overproduction. Has this guy ever heard of fiddles, banjos and steel guitars? Also, country music is supposed to be sad at times, but this is the type of music you listen to when you're poppin' 50 Xanax and chuggin' a fifth.

you are a smart young person, i am only 25 and I grew up listening to old J.C. because of my dad. I had the chance to see him last year year and got to shake hands with him in a small venue and he is just a normal guy. we all know he is more than that, but if you get the chance to talk to him you would never know it.
Thanks for posting this. I was a very young country music DJ when "Old School" was released. I was disappointed that it didn't do better, but that's why YouTube exists, to carry on gems that might otherwise be totally written off.
I'm only nineteen years old and I find this song simply amazing. Alot of my friends think I'm crazy because I think music like this beats any music out today. I wasn't even alive when this song was new yet I find it a timeless classic.
