  • so why arent these around today?

  • now that was advertising. look at this irrelevant to the product bs these days.

  • "And now we can find the time, space, and efficiency to camp anytime and anywhere, in the twilight zone"

  • but...will it blend?

  • @chrisco741 thats so played out...

  • I don't usually like campers. But, when i do, it's a retro camper :D

  • some degree of aerodynamic styling

  • I found this through stumble.

  • @KaeteChan me to

  • "...if Dad performs a few of these gyrations while the family is having breakfast, there could be a trailer-load of trouble!"

    ...I'll say! :-O

  • I love the announcer. So badass. Sounds like the guy from the twilight zone.

  • Dude! I want that.

  • Awesome, but that has to be made of balsa wood, pixie dust, and styrofoam in order to be light enough for a VW's load capacity. There's no way that, 35 years later, a trailer like that could be made for, say, a prius would both be under the towing capacity and fulfill newer safety standards.

  • @NoniNonikins they didn't have safety standards back then, its prolly hella thin sheet metal

  • @NoniNonikins You would be surprised at what a lot of newer travel trailers are made of and how much a small car can haul safely. There are teardrop trailers that can be easily hauled with even the smart cars. However It's probably not a good idea to be in the back of one of these things while going down the road. Probably illegal to do so :P

  • Personally I think the idea is brilliant! I just don't see a stock engine pulling that size of a load. What type of engine modification that would be necessary to pull that trailer. Thank you so much for the post. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • The Baby Boomer lifestyle is defined. Savings are applied directly to boomer kids' Massive Student Loans.

  • Do not adjust you television set.

You are entering a new world of camping

  • Love the idea! Only question would be: how problematic is turning corners?

  • @felisd Turning corners shouldn't be a problem as long as you remember to go out a little farther into the road before you start your turn. It would be similar to driving with a goose neck or fifth wheel trailer.

  • Why isn't this trailer everywhere right now?

  • @mellowmark1 like many other good ideas... this one would shut down others... and DOT took it off the market... im sure you needed to upgrade your springs and brakes for that thing... amazing pivot designed tho...

    thumbs up

  • @mellowmark1 i was just about to say why dont we still have these things?

  • awesome video.
