This is an epidemic, million have this and yet it's never on the news except when they show Africa. This disease trancends all countries, they need to do more to help people living with this and at the same time try to isolate this disease. I wonder if it will mutate again at some point as it has already mutated in the people that take meds, and then when they transmit it to others it's more resistant.

I wouldnt be so sure about that, the HIV rates in Australia have increased by 50% within the past 8 years. Plus now Thailand has an epidemic with people who have subtype-e, which is easier to catch than subtype-b usually found in Australia, USA, and UK. You have a lot of people from Australia going to Thailand and getting with the bar girls, so I wouldnt say Australia will never have a problem, as its obviously increasing now.

Sure if you click on my name "HIVDISSIDENT" there are a few to start with...please keep in mind "terminology" is the key here the HIV Industry would like nothing more than EVERYONE to be confused with distorted definitions. HIV is SUPPOSED to be a Virus and AIDS a "syndrome" of OLD FAMILIAR Illnesses or diseases. AIDS is not a DISEASE nor is HIV.

Well, I do agree with ChannelingOne

but I do applaud this individual who has lived this long with the virus. It's people like her that make me feel that we will see a cure i our lifetime.

This is great, but I think someone who is BORN with HIV and has had their whole life to deal with it offers a different perspective than someone who gets it later in life and has to confront being newly HIV+. This girl doesn't even have first hand experience of getting TESTED. If you want to have someone speak about living with HIV, try someone who can speak about the fear and the rejection people face because of it.
