I like Auckland but it's not really the epitome of what tourists are usually looking for in NZ ie. the amazing landscape views and everything. I feel like most of that's in the South Island.. just my opinion, may be a little bit biased but still.. lol

I'm from The Netherlands and I love New Zealand, I was in NZ in January and February 2009 . It's such a beautiful country and I want to live there. compared with Europe, it is so quiet and you have so much space!

wow New Zeland is so beatiful i will go there after college and live in auckland for 1 or 2 years :) i just hope plane tickets arnt too expencive from Texas to Auckland that seems far but its worth it its the best country in the world.

I've never done any kind of travelling, but Auckland is very lovely from pictures I've seen. Just the notion of harbors including Auckland's lovely skyline is just awesome to me.

@sohbat19 You're an idiot. The world's youngest country is Kosovo, which only declared independence in February 2008. New Zealand declared independence in December 1931.

My definition of "independence" is becoming a republic with a New Zealand head of state.

The Westminster Act of 1931 (full autonomy of power) wasn't enacted into law until 1947.
