@TheHCES I realize that it's been 9 months since you posted your comment here, but to get the cheese sauce to come out right, you add the flour bit-by-bit to the butter to form a "roux"... it's almost like the first steps towards making a simple gravy. A simple tip would be to store your measured 1-cup of flour in a shaker bottle with medium-sized holes and just gradually sprinkle the flour to the melted butter. An empty Kraft parmesean cheese bottle works nicely.

It's just a cheese sauce....Roux + Cheese.
So for anyone having problems and thus, looking for an actual video, just search for 'cheese sauce' and you should get the same results as this.
