For anyone who needs to use booties, the way to do this is make it fun and happy. Put them on him for 1 minute, give him some good treats, then take them right off. Next time, put them on him and run around the house together having fun, then treats, then take them off. Next time, put them on just before taking the ball out for play. It's important for Poodle to be happy when the boots are on intially.
I have a pair for my toy poodles and it protects their lil paws from the salt used to keep teh ice down. Most of the time they are carried buy when they need to potty they need boots to keep the salt from burning their paws. It is cruel to make them burn their feet on teh salt and ice.

Honestly, my dog did the same exact thing as this dog. (I have to say I was laughing a bit the first time too).She got used to them- which is good because she does like going for walks.
