  • Two people disliked it because they were deaf!! :)

    Check out my channel!

  • Great Live production this -an enormous amount of work must have gone into this gig.

  • Need to have another concert!

  • that's Lol Creme at 3.12. From 10cc and later godley and creme.

  • super voice bravo!

  • Backing singers are Debbie Doss and Linda Alllan as per the original song. I bought this on 7" as it was one of my first ever records and I still have it ;)

  • And arnt the backing singers a little bit GOOD

  • What are these people on about? It's nothing like the studio version.

  • Is Bruce Woolley the one at 2.54?

  • I love this track , better the video killed

  • This song still sounds futuristic even after 32 years.

  • @thunderbay63 Thank you I hate it when people say 80's synths sound dated.

  • I spotted Lol Creme form 10cc playing acoustic guitar...cool

  • Perfection ! Wow !

  • One of my favourite ever choruses - comes out of nowhere.

  • phil palmer on guitar...

  • i love this band

  • Very close to the original. Impressive Mr. Horn!

  • im 16 nd want time to rewind to his time b4 i was born

  • my school whe i was in 6th we did this song.. .haha was so fun

  • I'm 16 and i wish this type of music was still ongoing.

  • Love the fact that he invited the original backing singers here too. Nice one Trevor!

  • Toute mon épôque, j'ai acheter le 33 LP en 1980, génial quand j'étai adolescent.

  • I would so love to see the Buggles go on a world tour. Nothing better to me than to see these bands live that I never got to as a kid.

  • Everoyne thinks that this song was not original, that he was lip sinking and i can tell you that he is not because he was live, and that the audience was not a bunch of little kids that scream during the song is playing. The croud is all adults that actully enjoy the experience the being at a concert, Not just wanting to try to get to meat the lead singer. I was at that concer and this is how i know this. And i fel ashamed that anyone in tier right mind would even screm during a concert. Thanks

  • @101tankhunter TNX no more words....

  • @101tankhunter surely, who'd wanna scream out when your ears are busy absorbing this age old song. I don't mind the screamo songs since... for the most part... you can't understand shit with all the screaming the singer does, hence screaming might as well be the most part the audience does as well.

  • @101tankhunter Agree! Trevor Horn is one of the greatest ever Rock/Pop producers ever, he wouldn´t do such a production based on playbacks or lip sinch! Greetings from Portugal!

  • @101tankhunter I know the original very well-one of my favorite songs, and I know this was done live.

  • THIS THE REAL LIVE SOUND WHEN YOU HAVE GREAT TALENT AND GREAT MUSICIANSAND A BIG POST PRODUCTION AND THE REALS VOICES

  • Really wish they would tour I'd love to see them. So professional.

  • yes it's live

  • Man, just love his glasses!

  • Trevor Horn is a legend.

  • awesome technopop

  • @curiousted perfect post production....

  • @handballfan01

    Superb mix !

It is very much completely live with a fantastic band.

  • Lip synching PLEASE! Far from studio...listen again...LIVE

  • @curiousted @handballfan01 Nope. Sound Engineers my friends... Sound Engineers. Also, this concert has a seated audience.

  • @curiousted It is live. The time that was spent in rehearsal just to get everything right not to mention the mixing really payed off! Really tight performance.

  • @curiousted you are so wrong dont matter what never would they lip synch thats so horrible to say that they are so much better

  • @curiousted I think it's essentially live but VERY carefully mixed with a fair amount of tuning and timing correction after the event...

  • @curiousted oc this is live, studio version's drums are not so loud and the voices sound quite different

  • Very "Yes" - absolutely perfect!

  • this band is one of the biggest influences of me wanting to study music tech. i want to produce music like this for a living

  • Magnifique !!!! bravo a Trevor horn....et merci a lui, quelle prestation....

  • Shut your eyes during the chorus and that could easily be Jon Anderson.

  • UUUUUUUUh Yeaaaaah.....so Great :o)

  • bought this album in 1980 if ever a band were ahead of there time with production of music...this is totally fantistic for a live performance....acts today would learn alot from watching this ...trevor horn is a genuis

  • the lady doing lead backing vocals has a fantastic voice!! sounds just like the recording!

  • @LuNaaaaaR That's because she's the original singer :) !

  • I think this version is better than the original one.

  • Can you believe that today's stars like Kesha get tons of hits and can't even sing, but this guy who can still sing after 25 years without performing at all can sing it even now and only got 1 hit. I think that's wrong.

  • @Basstard100

It's true that Geoff Downes has a bear a family likeness!

If Buggles reproduces in the Paris region, warn i, tks.

  • I have the DVD, but it is fantastic you posted in youtube, so I can see this

    masterpiece during my trips...amazing concert.

  • Has this been released commercially?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @hellotheremateyboy Yes, [1980] The Age of Plastic

  • @WeZetMusic well I don't know about this particular version. But yes it was released in 1980.

  • Godley and Creme! And Bruce Woolley! WOOHOO!

  • This whole concert is wonderful. I'd love to see them do either Buggles album fully live or the Propaganda album. That would be something.

  • Cool!

  • This is amazing performance. I miss only the vocoder processed voice... Brilliant !

  • viva trevor, long life to the buggles

  • I usually hate watching live videos of any band for the reason that what you hear on the record is usually embellished to pump it up when you hear it.. With this video I have to say I break that spell as the performance was not as good as original.. but damn close.. Bravo :)

  • awesome - would've been great to have seen that live

  • They shoulda stayed together for waaaaaaay more than two albums.

  • this is A GREAT SONG CATCHY AN VERY TREVER HORN CLASS ACT ,.

  • a cool song

  • Ich wünschte, ich wäre dabei gewesen!!

  • a very much underated song, takes me way back, happy happy days.

  • Sorry, I didn't find the link... But thanks for this information which can help some people to not buy an expensive cd.

  • I got the two cd albums now.

I bought Adventures in Modern recording right from Japan. It seems the second album has only been sold in Japan and nowherelse... It was a great band really novating...

  • :-)

  • I Love The Buggles!

  • Trevor Horn is a modern Mozart.......Sheer class and genius.....His songs and production are timeless.

  • Kathy Burke on backing.........priceless ;-)

  • I hear this song and I get that shivery feeling down my back :D

  • the music industrie will never be the same again.

  • Unless we do something about it, right? ;)

  • im 22 and i wouldn't mind having this era back i only caught the rift end of it in the early 90s i would like the power of synths, crazy costumes and good music to return :)

Buggles great band and they sound great live thanks for the post.

  • Another great song from a very proffesional band plus 5+ for overall quality.

  • Thanks for putting this up. Favourited and five stars. A brilliant musical piece!!!

  • come back buggles this is to good to forget with all the current rubbish around great greg trevor

  • no. let's keep buggles as they are: a studio-project of the 80s. it was a good time - but it's gone. with this live-version it's done. it still sounds good after all those years, but you won't win anything with this song today. we are all relicts of the plastic age now. accept it :)

  • Agreed. Comebacks are not good. I'm glad I lived through this era when I apprecited it more. I'm 47 now and thanks to You Tube we can look back. Let the new young people have their own music we'll keep ours.

  • Fantastic !

  • hmmmmmm that's an amazing song

  • WHAT A VIDEO AMAZING

  • Wow...Tessa Niles at 3:46

  • The Buggles are one of the few bands that always are in top shape live, others include Genesis, ELP, and Chicago.

  • buggles the best

  • BETTER THAN THE STUDIO VERSION!!!!

  • Gotta hand it to a reunion performance that ISN'T transposed down a semitone or two! Respect!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • The man,the genius

  • Brilliant live performance, incredible arrangement, and marvellous backing singers. Simply great. Never get fed up with this video. Thank you handballfan01

  • he looks like he did in the 80s, only in different colors

  • Trevor's voice is still as crisp as the day he recorded this. Great performance!

Grrrrrrrreat !!!!!

  • Chewbacca67, in english, said Woaw, hallucinatory and amazing, what work to achieve such a result, 30 years later! Trevor Horn is such a perfectionist .....

And yes, it's Geoff Downes is one of the keyboards, Trevor presents on "Video Killed ..." comes next in the concert. Grrrrrrrreat !!!!!

  • Pity they didn't do CLEAN CLEAN as well!

  • Great song, Great album.

  • Makes me wish that they had stayed together and had done a lot more material, these guys are great!

  • PLASTIC AGE!!

  • I love this song, great performance. Where is the original video clip??

  • I've just recognized a bit at 3:09 which sounds like part of Jacky by Marc Almond, which Trevor also produced!

  • Geoff Downes

  • Comment removed

  • What brand of bass is Trevor using here? I don't recognize it...

  • ¡bravo!,genial cancion, genial lp y genial actuacion ,sin escatimar gastos

  • i think they sound better live

  • Fantastic performance. And from a fabuluous album.

  • I think that Trevor Horn has a creativity to that of Alan Parson. Both are great.

  • better than the original vid!

  • Thank You!!

  • Lovely!!!! Fantastic!!!!

Best vid in the whole world!!!

To see this song live was really great.

  • LOVE THE GLASSES!

  • I liked that video.

  • His voice has not aged a day in almost 30 years.

    It's really quite amazing.

  • yeah it sunds just like the original

  • Too bad the music video was taken out of YT...

  • Simply amazing.

  • Very good. And he even puton his 1980s glasses - what a good sport!

  • Superb...thanks for the posting.

  • Buggles finest hour. Living In The Plastic Age is genius, and Horn is one of the most talented musicians ever to grace this earth.
