Robinson ran for Congress twice. In 2004, he got his ass kicked in the GOP runoff primary by a woman. In 2006-when this ad was made- he made it to the general election by running in a different district, where he promptly was shot down in flames by Democrat Brad Miller(64% for Miller,36% for Robinson). Reportedly, he said he'll never run for elective office again- for which the GOP in NC is no doubt greatly relieved.
