im just making a guess but since the game is in beta the graph,s is probably set to the lowest settings, removing many things like shadows and probably grass aswell. Wait until it is released and somebody make a HQ video with highest settings, then you can decide properly.

This game focuses on player skill which means top of the line graphics are not critical, or even beneficial in this game. With that said they are still very well done.
Oh heaven forbid an MMO not have amazing graphics. I hope 87 isn't your birth year because that would have given you the chance to see how successful much less graphically advanced games have been. DAoC is still played, go check it out... Graphics are horrible. Gameplay, however, is amazing.
Also, this game isn't about have to give material gratification. Regardless, gear is only important to theme park MMOs. This is the utmost example of a sandbox MMO.

The trees you see are Unreal Engine 3 placeholder trees(basically the same tree repeating) in place of SpeedTree SDK, used to keep filesize of the early beta torrent minimal.
Technically computers run at higher than what most believe to be "true" HD. Most older monitors have to be 22.5 inches to be 1080p video but newer monitors have a higher pixel density and can be higher quality in smaller space. This video was HD that was down converted to fit YouTube's version of HD flash video.
The reason there is an NDA is so people won't think this represent the final product at all. Currently, the only thing being tested is server load. Almost everything else is yet to be implemented.

No you can't as beta is in 3 blocks A B and C. So If you would buy now you would be propably in block C. And now is block A playing soon B are coming. C is good place still beucase there isn't so many bugs anymore

Looks really good allready, remember! The grass hasn't been added yet and the only settings you can customize are the shadow quality, in this vid the shadows are disabled.
Imagine how good it will look with high quality shadows, AA and high quality textures etc!
The textures are sometimes a bit blurred and the ground is a bit empty, okay, the terrain possibly is a bit spiky, but most of that will be improved. It's the early beta phase

Landsacpe is good and the sky too. For sure there is a lack of Vegetation and tree's are not Alive. They should move a bit in Wind.
But this game looks cool. And these type of games dont have Mobs at every places.

Yes, not to mention, you can't run it at the highest resolution in beta! The retail will definitely look even better.

Yeah Foozlewrap, they turned down most of the eye candy like grasses and shit like that for beta. So at release it's gonna be even more beautiful.
