Just finished this map, and it does seem like the difficulty was increased at some point since I did this video, A lot more of those baby dragons attack at the starting, I used the same logic as in this video except I built 3 towers around my group of buildings south of the keep. lv 2 towers will keep your buildings up and reduce the building up of enemy's attacking so you are not entirely over run, the keep itself you can let it get attacked all day long, its a great tank.
Not sure I can help if you are doing another mission entirely, but I might be willing to redo this video in the near future, its about that time I tried playing the game again.
now I remember why I gave up this game. This mission is impossible. How the hell did you finish a building before the dragon attacks? Mine is only halfway done. I'm doing literally the same thing as you. How did you get a barracks up before dragons come to attack? I'm doing the same thing as you and I am swarmed instantly. How did you break this game and put it on easy mode?
@krinkle8 This quest does require a lot of thinking but it can be done :) One thing I remarked on when I did this quest was the Dragon himself always aims for a particular building. I found a Level 2 Guard Tower to the north of the castle was a good way to keep him busy plus it had enough health to withstand his attacks before he flies away; abliet obviously damaged badly but enough to keep him away from the market place etc
how come you dont get beat up by the the serpents? after like 5 minutes there are so much serpents in my town, that all my heroes die in the focus fire. nothing i can do.
dude when i was playing this level i was attacked by little dragons in a group of three from the north, east and south and west. here you dont even get attacked what did you do or is that some kind of glitch? i was constantly attacked by three little dragons from the north right after rafnir leaves when my warrior rax hasn't even completed yet wtf so fucking hard. these dragons ignore my castle and go straight for my rax too on the south becaus i uses my castle as a tank.
Same here. I am mobbed by the snake-dragons from the start, and the big dragon attacks me right away as well. This guy must have found some way to set the game to easy - it is like he is playing a completely different game.
did you beat this level? i found a way to beat the level finally...i had to build heroes guild all the way to the south so all the little dragons from north east and west are attacking the main castle leaving your heroes to level up by attacking the southern dragons. once the heroes gets really powerful i use tavern to party then take out west east then north nests. but i dont remember how i managed but first time didn't go so well rafnir destroy my main castle losing the game.
i hated this stage, cudnt bare seein my units dying so much and got the idea to hire my lords, destroyed all the serpent lairs ,all the pyramids,killed all the ghost and the dragons lair and they still kept coming from the edges of the map, not to mention the dam elemental decided to take a stroll tru town >_< but i like ur vid, im seein new ways to use the skills like vision and healing from the unit display thingy
This map really isn't that hard as long as you keep the dragon away with towers to the north of your castle the dragon isn't going to destroy anything important, and killing the dragon isn't that bad ether if you focus fire him when hes not in his den, every time he comes out your men will gain levels and eventually own him, just make sure to fast forword when you get that far.

oh thanks dude this helped a lot well i tried to build towers but he always destroyed them and thos serpents gave me quite a headache
