This is one of my favorite RPG's of all time, entrancing story line with believable characters and events in some ways... loved the demons.

Been years since I've played, so don't quite remember her name... but I was legit sad when the demon chick died.

Saying that Grandia 3 was pure crap in comparison.

cliche as in you know..good vs evil..knight and damsel and all those typical elements in games nowadays. dont get me wrong i loved g2 xD finished it a couple of times and still planning on playing it again.

@cookiewaa i know this is a necro and im sorry but it is far from cliche. most notably this isnt good vs evil... in fact it is far from it. the "good" are actually not so good, the lines being blurred is a theme not used enough. in many ways one can actually relate with valmar and his forces. thats on top of granas being dead as one of the biggest plot twists ever

grandia 2 might have a simple and cliche story but they did so much in developing the characters and added some excellent music that the game became an uber awesome experience. most games nowadays have innovative system but sucky story or undeveloped characters. (ff12 (arguably) ff13 (seriously. the story sucked and the character dev is an epic fail. E.G:snow.)) its like after ff10, final fantasy lost its soul T.T its just sad..

Grandia really helped me to improve my english by making me want to learn more in order to understand more of the epic storyline ^-^

the music of grandia 2 is really one of the greatest RPG theme's that was ever made. And the battle System Just Epic ^^ This game was my first Role playing Game and i in my opinion it was better then the newest Final Fantasy at the year 2000/2001 when Grandia 2 was published

Grandia 1 wasn't bad but i guess if you compare everthing Grandia 2 is still a bit better :/ but just a mere opinion from a guy like me XD

I loved both Grandia and Grandia 2 was even better in both stories, music and the way it makes you see how good and evil are never truly different and can in fact be the same thing seen from different angles...

simply one of the best games ive played :D gameplay is nice and simple. even if its a bit repititive you'l still wont get tired of it. story is very engaging. itl make you forget about the repititive battles and just play on with the further advancement of the story in mind. lots of lovable characters xD i luff millenia the best hehe and its not because of the costume xD also gotta luff the whiney little bird lolx. best arc was the eye of valmar part xD tearjerker T.T also the melfice part.

I think Grandia 2 is one of the most engaging RPGs of all time, maybe even one of the best top 20 RPGs of all time. THe storyline is beyond anything i've ever seen in a video game and the gameplay is spectacular!

Trully, I litterally had to FORCE myself to play Grandia Extreme. felt more like a chore than a hobby. I got near the end I think too and saying to myself "Ok! I KNOW this game is a piece shit but I've GOT to finish it"....yeah failed once in this like water looking spot near the end where all the bushes r and shit and just well.quit Lol trully miserable game. just as AVGN would say..."SMASH IT! if you see this game ANYWHERE SMASH It INTO LITTLE BITS!"
