  • I spent 12 years of my life working in the accounting field with some good and not so good people but decided to make a change this year. I completed my EMT-Basic and am now taking prerequisites to one day become a paramedic. Now looking back to January starting the class, I feel it's the best decision I've ever made. Love trying to help my fellow mankind and working with some of the finest individuals in the world.

  • Whats the name of the scond song ?

  • how to save a life

  • Its Josey Scott(Saliva) and Chad Kroger(Nickelback) close enought though.

  • Firefighter/Emt here very nice video. "I dont have any medals on my chest because Im not a hero, Im a firefighter"

  • WHOOOO YAAAAA!

  • we don't have any medals on our chest either because we are not a hero, we are firefighters.

  • You forgot one part, "You won't see any medals on my chest assholes, because I'm no hero, I'm a fireman."-Denis Leary Rescue Me.

  • COPS-Americas Finest

    Fire Fighters-Americas Bravest

    EMS- Americas Forgotton

I don't need the lime light, I am the hero in the darkness, there when you need me.

  • What this song called and what band is it from.

  • all you have to do is google the lyrics...

    Nickelback - Hero

The Fray- How to Save a Life

  • Nickleback is this is the band i can't remember the song name though.

  • Hey i look all over but i can't find it any were?

  • Yeah it came out like in 2003 so yeah it is probaly hard to fing I have it on my Itunes on my computer.

  • No it came out around when spider man came out.

  • Oh my bad for some reason that is what year that came to mind rhen I though about that song I'lll try to find out what the album is I think it is the Fray how to save a life.

  • i get up every morning knowing that whet im learning is going to save a life when i graduet......EMT-P till the dat i die!!!!!!!!

    .........great vid ..............

  • I think firefighters get lots of recognition but I don't hear much about EMT's.

  • I respect the EMTS I care for all the emergency personal.

  • u do have a point. do be honest i dont think emts, firefighters, and police dont get enough recognition. i mean we all have the same mission. "to help those in there time of need"

  • We will never get the reconition we deserve or the pay we should. We do it because if we don't who will?

  • exactly who will. man i love doing what i do. god bless you

  • It definitely takes a certain type of person to do this job, too. I mean, as anyone in EMS can say, there's just things out there that you'll never be able to "unsee". I'll never forget what my instructor told me right before we got out into the field. "You guys will unfortunately see things that no human being should ever see, but in doing so, You're saving someone else from having to see it, someone that may not be ready to handle it." That really hit me when I finally got out into the field.

  • i know you posted this comment a while ago but i read what your instructor told you and thought that statement is so true i hope you dont mind but i would like to use it im an instructor myself and just started another emt-b class great sayings are hard to come by

  • Hey, no problem, I think every instructor should drive that point home. This isn't an easy job, not by a long shot, and that message might be what it takes to make someone think twice about why they're getting into the job in the first place.

  • thanks for posting this, i believe FF and EMT's sometimes dont get enough credit for what we/they do... i think alot of ppl overlook BLS since the majority in my area are volunteer.. Hopefully one day ill do ALS... and it definitely is a rewarding job, however at times you deal w/ things that can crush a person, CODES, fatalities, etc

  • im a firefighter akk the way

  • Rneir0492 you can get the EMT Trousers at a Tactical Ops or on E-bay, they usually run from around 24-36$. if you work for Emergency Medical Services or a Fire Dept. as a first responder you will be given the EMT trousers. =D As for the EMS shears... stethoscope, etc.. you will be given that once you have a job with FD or EMS.

  • where does emt get there pants there awsome

  • What a great video! You did an awesome job!

  • Damn right its the best job in the world, and God bless our fallen, RIP Paul

  • NICE ONE

  • Not to far from me, nice video. I reconized the rigs.. nice job.

  • awsome work next time stick to one song

  • That is definately the most rewarding job in the world.

  • Adam2334, you your most certainly right. You learn a lot working as a FF or an EMT, or both... Or just as a Paramedic. You become more mature, everyone jokes around and acts stupid, of course. I mean as far as well making fun of people, outlook on life. The job is rewarding where as it is stressful especially with pediatric patients.

  • And they say that a hero can save us...

  • Thank you for creating this video... I'm quite familiar with Monroe EMS... This video hits home more then the other ones because it is from an area I'm familiar with... Awesome job...

  • good one. We need more EMS videos (some not so sad maybe) :P.

  • that was awsome
