Just bought an 86 Toyota Travelmaster yesterday. Looking forward to putting some mileage on it. It's a 4cyl but I figured maybe I can do a v6 swap later on when the original engine finally dies. I think that will take many more yrs however, knowing how durable these engines are. Have you heard of anyone doing the v6 swap?
Yes, we sold it this year. We miss it a great deal. However, we got new RV's... Motorcycles and my son is 16 and will begin working. So our time to use the camper like we once did was going to be diminished. Our next big trip up north will more than likely be on motorcycles :-)
I think they are still available in some countries. We have nothing liek this available in the USA anymore. Bummer. I might look at some of the slightly smaller models of the 90's V6. Great vehicles it seems. Is the toilet area stinky? It seems so many motor homes are that I walk into. I want the lowest maintenance possible.
Ours was never stinky. Of course we hardly used the John.
We loved our camper. It has served us well for 3 major trips up North to Alaska, Yukon, B.C. and above the arctic circle. I wish they still made these as well.
The racks are Yakima. I write-up posted on how I mounted them in the yahoo Toyota camper group. Can also send it to you as well.

It hink you would find that switching engines (4cyl to a V6) isn't that easy of a task.

The toilet area in our Toyhome was not stinky, we used those little blue pouches that you drop into the toilet.
