PA scout rangers are the most skilled and most experience special forces because in mindanao they get to engage in unconventional combat and/or get ambushed by enemy more often than any special forces of the world. it is sad they don't have modern weaponry/equipments. Combat or being ambush is like their monthly or even a weekly routine for those who are assigned in particular places in mindanao. experience is the best teacher because trainings could be forgotten in some unfortunate situations.

The SAS's Jungle Warfare record in Malayan campaign and the latest one - Sierra Leone is freakin excellent.

They are the templates of special forces.

If given a chance, we the PA Scout Rangers can go side-by-side with SAS, Gurkhas and other elite forces in the world because we are the most experienced jungle fighters all over the region. These Rangers and the AFP/PNP quelled the rebellion in the Mindanao area and have contained them. That should tell you how qualified they are.

phils can afford to buy night vision goggles for their special forces or maybe those are surplus from the US Army. Here in the US you can buy a brand new NVG for only 300 bucks. The most expensive ones runs about to 500-1000K bucks.
