  • favourite album cover ever.

  • wtff ! this is sooo good !

  • lolwtf

  • Hey, this actually is kinda funky

  • >progressive post-avant jazzfunk-core

  • @CeleryMan3 gb2 /mu/ you fucking hipster.

  • @CeleryMan3 I see what you did there

  • What a fucking day!

I dribbled orange juice on my shirt!

What a day, what a day, what a day!

  • Sleazy worked extensivley with NIN, If you have heard The Downward Spiral you will understand NIN is not pop music for goth kids. Its a masterpiece, Throbbing Gristle would be proud of. An artist should not be dismissed because they have sold over 1 million records.

  • i like how they make the album cover look all friendly. it actually mislead me. i thought throbbing gristle were sell-outs to pop :D

  • @serpico89 Looks friendly until you realise that they are standing at the famous suicide spot Beachy Head

  • @petewadley :O!! i didn't know that!

  • It's my Birthday and the dark in me sings sweet, He comes Lord Solaris

  • ....damn thats shit :D

  • They suck so much it feels good.

  • @spunkets fcuk you

  • @clancy2k

You obviously miss the point. But if you rearrange your hair, no one will notice.

  • NIN is so overrated, its a load of bollocks. anyone who mentions NIN and supposedly likes industrial music really has no idea, NIN is pop/rock music for goth kids

  • @noisemann I uploaded this and I like NIN.

  • @pelodelperro Can't be ~cool~ really if you don't bash the mainstream (blows my mind having to call NIN mainstream even for this concept.)

I like this and I also like NIN train.

  • @noisemann I'm goth , I hate NIN so just stop when you don't know what your talking about. All people are different grow up.

  • @AlexanderWodehouse your goth. one day you might grow out of labelling yourself something so stupid, what does being a goth actually mean? isn't that a trend that kids who listen to marilyn manson call themselves.

  • @noisemann No it's based on Gothic Literature it's just an interested for the darker side of life. Anyways you're very rude everyone is aloud there own opinion I never like NIN because I guess because I never really got into them, I watched some videos I realized that I did not like them so much. I do enjoy Manson but a lot of people don't consider him goth. Anyways thank you for your time. P.S. I'm studying to be a doctor, music is not everything. :)

  • @noisemann i love you

  • @noisemann

Eh, I don't like NIN but they are a good stepping stone for someone just starting out exploring industrial, most people don't go straight from pop to Masonna/TG/Kazumoto Endo or whatever.

Plus NIN's got one EP that truly fits under the industrial umbrella, I don't remember what it's called though.

  • @Sunsnatcher would that be the Broken EP by any chance?

  • @TheBobajango

Hm, no, I think it's called Fixed or something like that. It's the one NIN release that I like, but like I said before, NIN is probably something you should have listened to, just like you might want to listen to Boards of Canada if you're going to explore electronica, etc.

  • @noisemann i totally agree

  • @noisemann NIN may be a bit over-rated, but Reznor is still a great musician, I think. It certainly doesn't help that the one local rock station in my area plays 'Closer' once every three hours, and all the doofuses like it solely for the word 'fuck'.

  • @noisemann Completely agree.

  • @noisemann Well that's elitism for you :/

  • @noisemann Go fuck yourself.

  • @noisemann lol you don't get it

  • whata day whataday all day whataday all day whataday, love singing along to this

  • What a day !!

  • i love industrial. trance music takes elements of it

  • I JUST MASTURBATED TO THIS VIDEO.

  • Cosey is so fuckin HOT

  • The groove sounds like The Big Come Down by Nine Inch Nails. Not saying which came first.

  • @jravell Hey... Now that you mention it, the swing is just like The Big Come Down. Holy fuck!

  • awesome. 1979!!

  • I'm dj, i play industrial. My best group is Throbbing Gristle

  • @ScrewLimbBizkit lol im listening to this

  • Everytime I hear someone say "What a day" casually in real-life, I can't help but think of this song.

  • @Cunobelinus54 Haha i know right?

  • this sounds ahead of its time

  • Nice!

  • Welcome to the idiots notice board.

  • It's electric and repetitive , but still seems syncopated

  • This type of music originally came from the 50's. The techniques for sounds were made from things like tapping dental tuool connected to amplifiers.

  • Hard to believe this was made in the 70's.. love that electro industrial beat

  • How beautifully unpleasant.

  • Damnit to Hell! Pete Christopherson's died. Damnit damnit damnit!

  • Soooooooooo if someone covered this in an experimental metal fashion, how much would they get flamed?

  • what a day what a day if you can look him in the face and hold your vomit

  • @neroodio Faith no More references are allowed.

  • I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG WHAT A DAY!!!!

  • wha' a day wha' a day ALL DAY :D

  • Is this the group whose lead singer had a sex change?

  • @Mduenisch He didn't get a sex change. He just...has a different lifestyle than most of us.

  • its just so freaking awesome to hear stuff like this. the birth and origin of industrial music. it kinda gives me goosebumps. its like listening to some weird never before heard stuff from a different world.

  • I could listen to this song all day.

  • The girl is cute.

  • @Refrescospepito Google "coum transmissions prostitution ica". It puts her appearance on the album cover in some perspective...

  • What a day for suicide and sexual offences musical experimentation!

@MrAnubis89 Actually, while being a fan of EDM and EBM, I actually find this music quite powerful, amusing and meaningful. After all, this is where it all began! If it wasn't for this guys, the revolution of rock, and earlier, Edgard Varèse (probably what throbbing gristle would have sounded like if they were born on the turn of the century), none of that would even exist!

  • @thegreatfriend well put

  • I am also a fan of recent danceable post-industrial music and other electronic dance music etc. However I imagine a lot of people with similar tastes are dissapointed by original industrial slow strange pace. It's important to remeber this is meant for introspection, not the dance floor.

  • This is the true civilizing music for industrial fans. :P

  • most psychedelic shit my ears ever heard. time to drop some...drops :)

  • heh im plaing this while plaing this while plaing this....

    owerlaping.... its so good

    completely diferent

  • Dontcha love original industrial

  • This just sums so much up. ...and tomorrow the book fair.

  • This just sums it up.

  • throbbing gristle..... what a wonderful band... such pleasant music..... my favorite song is persuasion... 0 = ]

  • classic, they need to release their live, improved versions of this. youtube videos are terrible quality.

  • I love this song!
