I loved this film when I was a kid. The lesson I took away with me from this version of Cinderella was that all you really needed to get by in life was three really great outfits.
I was sitting around tonight, Christmas Eve, and for some reason this movie popped into my head. When I "googled" it, I found your posting. Thank you so much - I saw this when I was about 10 years old and it was a nice treat for the holiday.
To Julka Thanks for uploading this beautiful enchanting fil which saw many years ago as a child in the UK.However could you tell me who actually the male singer is and the name of the song? Its beautiful, although I dont understand it,however the music is beautiful...thanks again
Thank You so much for allowing me to see this movie. Its been a long sad 38 years but now my life's all better hahaha. But anyway thanks and hope to see more.
thankyou very much for showing us this very beautiful and gentle series. i remember and have had the tune in my head for 31 yrs. wonderful. great. rupe x
The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall a wonderful adaptation. Cinderella is so charmingly impish and the prince is fun too. Thank you for sharing this!
I was so pleased to hear this story again! I saw it only once as a child and have been looking for it ever since. Yours is the first time I have found it dubbed in English - do you know where I can also get a copy? I would dearly love to have one!
It´s really funny to watch it dubbed:-). I love this film and I´m proud of it being so succesfull abroad. Unfortunately, the best Czech fairy tales were made in 70´ and since then it´s been not such a quality in this genre.
I seem to remember a scene where her step mother hid Cinderella and had the Prince chasing one of the servant girls (or maybe her daugther) dressed to look like Cinderella.
Yes, stepmother with her daughter saw Cindrella in small window looking to the yard and run after her with some ropes(scary) and daughter took her dress pretending to be Cinderella and when she was asked by prince to try shoe on , they run out in carriage and prince was chasing them, the owl scared carriage horses , so mother and dauther ended in some small pond, prince saw dauther face and saw that is no Cinderella so he go back to the farm.
As a child in the `60s I was enchanted by a TV series called "The Snow Queen". It would be great to see it again. I wonder if it is the version you have.
Wow, a different spin on the story. Real good. But no coverage of the Evil Stepmother and step sister's faces with a look of disbelief at the end.
