  • @tatat44 How do you propose we go to Mars or even an asteroid, without a manned vehicle? Obama is just another politician who put his political ambitions ahead of technological advancement. Personally I think private enterprize should take over manned space exploration. We need to take the future, dare I say ultimate survival of the human race out of the hands of fickle and greedy politicians. We need space exploration and exploitation to meet future needs of humanity.

  • “Here Men From The Planet Earth First Set Foot Upon the Moon, July 1969 A.D. We Came in Peace For All Mankind.” -Inscription on the plaque left on the surface of the moon at the end of the mission.

One of the most monumental moments in human history. I feel honored to have been born late enough to see it.

  • Dam, what a Joke

  • They were on the moon, not in zero gravity.

  • how did they gt the drink to pour normally in zero gravity?

  • @StunTxSnipeZ because they're on the Moon, not in space

  • @StunTxSnipeZ The Moon has reduced gravity compared to the Earth, not zero gravity which only happens in space flight. So pouring a liquid is possible. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, I just hope that helps.

  • i don't understand that even some americans are so ignorant to doubt the landing. the proof is all there. we have flown satellites past the moon taking pictures of it. the soviets even confirmed that we landed. This isn't about being american, this was a moment for humanity. and im sad to say that some people have to doubt humanity's accomplishments.

  • it really pains me that videos about ufos on the moon and other attention seeking bs have 5 mill views.... but high quality versions of the original landing only 100,000 people....

  • for thousands of years to come, Neil Armstrong will forever be the first man to step forth onto another world

  • Space Program to Promote Space! Earth is beautiful from Space!

  • at 3:21, considering what Buzz did (he actually did that)

Maybe, just maybe they could name the first church on the moon called

"The Buzz Aldrin Baptist Church" What do you think?

  • @theeverything611 He's Presbyterian

  • Could you imagine being Neil and Buzz when that contact light came on and everything was fine? I probably would've fainted...

  • and we will never make the next step for spaceflight just because of peoples ignorance.

Its just silly to see such people live on this planet. What motivates them to demote such a event in the first place is beyond belief. Even if it were fake, cause reality starts by dreaming.

  • itself was almost 100meters tall.

And a apollo mission equals the engineering difficulties of a megastructure.

Its a single design, not a reproduceable machine.

If people just knew the financial and technological facts behind the missions, they wouldnt be screaming that it would be fake.

We all do believe in nuclear weapons, army weapons, and digital technology just because we can reproduce it.

If people have lack in the human capability to spaceflight, their will never be new innovation

  • and we havent gotten back in 4 decades because their hasnt been any serious technological breaktrough more efficient then 1960s rocket design as their hasnt been new technology created or development of industries as the landings was part of a propaganda, space race all part of the cold war.

The apollo program was never a chain event of new industries that led spaceflight to a economically routine process.

Its like building the twin towers or taipei101 or burj dubai.

    The saturn 5 rocket

  • sad to see so many people that disbelief the landings.

Either they have never witnessed the 1969broadcast or they have no relatives that participated the apollo events.

The day that apollo 11 landed there were tens of million people watching it.

Today we have lack of faith in this historic event as we have never reproduced it.

Because it costs almost 100billion dollars to get a crew to the lunar surface.

We have never gotten back and re attempted to land on the moon because of such costs.

  • @Armigo91 "Either they have never witnessed the 1969broadcast or they have no relatives that participated the apollo events."

You have a relative that went to the moon? Or are you just saying one of them made the hardware, which doesnt give them evidence that it actually landed a man on the moon.

Believing everything on the TV is also a dangerous way to assume facts are true.

"It was on Tv so it must be true." Is a hell of a concept! Its sad that people like you believe this.

  • @bpbiv31 wow look at this person. LRO have more pictures. what do you think you are? some sort of an anti-science hero?

  • @bpbiv31 I don't have a relative that went to the moon. I went to the moon on Apollo 16.

I assure you that it was not a fake mission.

  • I don't think this even happened but I get goosebumps and a huge smile when he says, "the eagle has landed." Pretty cool for Neil to be able to do that to someone who thinks nobody has ever walked on the moon...

  • The actor that played Neil did a badjob recreating the way he talked. They should have used the real recordings or had Armstrong come in and do voice overs for the actual EVA. Buzz should have been the same way.

  • @un4g1v3n1 You have made the typical "idiot statements" of someone who has not paid attention. Most money the government spends is for social programs. When its necessary and wisely spent , its a good thing. But they have went way beyond necessary and now its a monster.

Nasa anual budget is spent by the welfare people in a week, that too much we need to rebuild our industries and space is part of that . It is the producers, ie the people that work for living that built this country.

  • The white vest was Apollo 13

  • We need more movies like this to inspire young kids and show what amazing things humans are capable of, because the Hoaxheads are surely not gonna'.

  • @bulldaawg You use moon rocks as evidence we landed on the moon? Pathetic... When analyzed, the Apollo samples were much different in mineral content and other properties than real samples brought back by unmanned vehicles. The moon landing was fake, I can prove it and anyone with half a brain knows this is true.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny ...perhaps a family dog stole your virginity and traded you a Milk bone for your silence, still thats no reason to come on here blathering about when you're obviously into the middle stages of "unhingement" -an emotional malady where by anyone that prints or says something opposite to your view causes an instant and manical reaction -please consider this is due to your beliefs being the main thing in your life thus causing you to "over" defend it ...try dating (with a female)

  • @yesiamawizardjonny You can prove it? THEN PROVE IT! I am sick of you conspiracy theorist bullshitters who say they can prove it then don't produce the goods. You say the Apollo samples were much different in mineral content and other properties than real samples brought back by unmanned vehicles. Have you analyzed those samples yourself? Or do you just blindly rely on the "expert" testimony of self-righteous pricks like Bart Sibrel who only want attention. You're the one that is pathetic!

  • @yesiamawizardjonny We should be treating those men as heroes but because of emotionally unstable idiots like you we regard them as villains. I can't wait for the day when we go back to the moon and find all the landing sites in exactly the right place. But I supposed you will find some way of explaining that away. Perhaps they developed some satellite that left all their equipment and footprints there and left no trace of itself. And that will come from some "top secret" government report.

  • @codemannz Liars, cowards, and thieves. All of them. Also guilty of conspiring with NAZI rocket scientists to defraud American citizens of billions of their hard-earned taxdollars!

All of them should be tried as traitors, alongside their conspirators, after-the-fact, who continue to post lies in support of the Apollo fraud.

I can't wait for the day the criminals complicit in this crime against humanity are finally brought to justice!

Of course you and I know justice is paid for!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Liars, cowards, and thieves? Sounds like what Bart Sibrel said to buzz Aldrin. I hope that you are open-minded to the fact that the moon landing was real and not totally convinced by self-righteous profiteering pricks like Bart Sibrel, they are the real traitors and liars. I can't wait for the day we go back to the moon and find everything where it should be. Why don't you list the reasons why you think the moon landing is fake and I guarantee I can debunk every single one of them!

  • @codemannz Profiteering? Bart Sibrel drives a cab to make ends meet. Buzz Aldrin sells signatures and 'MOON SHIT' for thousands of dollars. NASA makes millions every year on Apollo crap. The real traitors tried to fool the world they possessed radiation-proof test pilots.

As for your challenge, my videos are a great place to start. Begin with my last radiation video, and work your way back.

    Peace!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Again you're redirecting & transferring your own feelings of inadequacy & self worthlessness to the greatest pilots that ever lived.

Your mind can not & will never be able to comprehend the skills & integrity these men have that you've insulted.

Your projection is obvious to the point it seems almost jealous.Your ego has crippled your brain to the point of "cognitive dissonance".That's the term you like to parrot?

Take a look at your writings, you're revealing your own short comings

  • @un4g1v3n1 One look at one of your so called "videos" and I was immediately disgusted. Those aren't anything serious! As for radiation, the van allen belts are only composed of protons and electrons. The aluminium shielding on Apollo was sufficient. And Apollo did not spend its entire time in the belts. At most a couple of hours there and back. They would only received the amount of radiation you would flying in a plane. Do some research youself, it can't all be NASA plants can it?

  • @codemannz Go google:

    Radioactive Moon

    Killer Electrons

    Lucky Astronauts

And get back to me. Your Apollo Fairy Tale that you cling to like a rocket-shaped pacifier, is unraveling with every new space revelation.

  • @un4g1v3n1 No it's not unraveling. I am 100% confident that I am right. The hoaxers do not have any evidence only their own opinions from looking at a couple of photos and videos and taken from their own infinite knowledge of astronomy, orbital mechanics, aerospace engineering, IT and photography, just to name a few. Those "killer electrons" refer to satellites not astronauts and the Van Allen belts were no concern. Look it up with an open mind and not your pre-conceived notions of a hoax.

  • @codemannz One look at my videos. Funny, I still don't see one iota of refuting of any of the claims made on the videos by yourself. I'm 100 % sure you have no intention of viewing the evidence, and claims from astro and solar physicists claiming that the VAB's and cislunar space is laden with lethal/deadly radiation, as is constantly being asserted in SCIENCE BASED programs on space!

But I suppose you think satellites can be killed. Is their nervous systems that are affected first?

  • @un4g1v3n1 Do prove to me conclusively by sourcing an independent party that the VAB exceed 5 REM in 45 minutes (As that is all the time it took to pass through the belts), which is the annual amount of radiation allowed for people working at nuclear plants. I cannot stress enough that whoever you are citing from, they cannot be a conspiracy theorist or a person working at NASA, in order to maintain neutrality.

  • @UndeadPizzaGuy I really have to stop conversing with sockpuppet trolls like yourself. You can't even stick to one sockpuppet at a time. Why don't you look for Van Allen's original data. Or better yet, read his articles in Scientific American! Then you'll have something to offer besides more of the same Troll PAN lies!

Do yourself a favor. Sell your brain to science. They won't be able to give you much after they realize how little accurate information is stored in it. You aren't using it!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Uh? Sockpuppet? Not a chance. Calling someone a troll or a sock-puppet is not an argument, its a provocation, used to distract people from the fact you have not answered my question. I, unlike a troll, maintain my neutrality. The burden of evidence lies with the accuser, therefore you must answer my questions before all else if you wish to be taken seriously. Nothing else you say matters until then.

  • @UndeadPizzaGuy Uh? Sockpuppet?

You are an idiot. You came back from your run with niceguy019, with....

"Additionally, I wish for you to explain to me how communications were faked."

So which account is the sockpuppet account? Well, we both know you have way more accounts then actual facts about Apollo!

    Keep on dreamin...

  • @un4g1v3n1 I told you, nothing else you say matters until you can answer my simple question. Source me to a reputable independent scientist who states that staying in the VAB for more than 45 minutes will result in a dose larger than 5 REM.

  • @un4g1v3n1 Additionally, I don't even know the person you're talking about. I suppose it has to do with your paranoid personality, which very common among conspiracy theorists. However, even if I was a sock account. It would mean absolutely nothing, It wouldn't belittle the validity of my argument one bit. In the world of science, you are judged upon your merits and your ability to explain reality. A persons argument isn't invalid simply because you do not agree with them.

  • @un4g1v3n1 Additionally, I wish for you to explain to me how communications were faked. We know for a fact the communications were coming from the lunar surface, as the radio telescopes used for communications are not omni-directional. If you decide it was an unmanned lander, explain how they could have used recordings if the communication were live (That means a 2.2 second delay to and from the moon). The time delay of course rules out recordings, so how was it done?

  • @UndeadPizzaGuy Oops, looks like you forgot which sockpuppet account you were using eh? General statements, or LIES don't improve your failing case. If they had really gone, they'd just play the telemetry tapes and shut everyone up. But, no, the absolute proof as to the origins of the transmissions are GONE!

    Just like your brain!

  • The greatest event in human history.

  • Thank God 413 was in. 412 is a douche!

  • @NASAvsPETE= I got two words for you.

  • Well NIceguy your right, why did'nt we go further? If our politicians had any balls they would vote for massive increases in the space program. Obammie, wants to kill our space progam and give the money to the dead beats. Spend money on deadbeats and all you get is more deadbeats, spend money on the space program and you get advanced technology. Including the kind that makes the deadbeats comfortable. These idiots sure do not think past their noses.

  • @unclefixer Spend money on dead beats? You are a complete and total Jackass!

Ya, let's give all our money to elitist scum-sucking asswipes who have no problem lying to the public to get it! And fuck the starving, homeless people!

    Go screw yourself asshole!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Yeah, thats a real effective way to be taken seriously in a meritocracy. State you dislike someone else and therefore they are wrong simply because you dislike them.

  • @unclefixer Put a sock in it.

  • @unclefixer

"Obammie" did not kill our space program, he killed Orion, which was a worthless Bush-era money sink that never even got off the ground, let alone approached our other goals. Obama favors (and has increased funding for) visiting an asteroid as a path to a manned Mars mission.

But you don't care about that, you just want to be left alone with your comfortable, black-and-white stereotypes. He's not the commander in chief or a human being, he's just simple old "Obammie".

  • I found it very beautiful and moving that Aldrin took communion on the moon.

  • Buzz Aldrin's little faith observance was rather inspiring. Brings tears to my eyes.

  • @PeoplesWar I'm an atheist, but I think it was appropriate in that circumstance. "It's just something I want to do"

  • i would be scared to mess something up while acting for these clips. to act in the shadow of such famous people, that had to be nervous.

and to hear Armstrong's famous quote spoken by someone else, that's just painful, although necessary.

  • conspiracy theorist are lost souls, they get their information from nutjobs with websites rather than doing any research themselves, plus they have a limited if any knowledge about the workings of space flight, they base their minds on what they THINK, not what they know of bother to find out

  • @CrowServo3000 Any one who believes that we did not do it.... well I feel sorry or them. I fell sorry because they can't feel the elation and pride that comes with it, not only for country but mankind. I was exactly 1 year old the day the U.S. launched that beautiful and perfect ship. I can say I was there when it happened! So many Americans don't even know who Mr. Armstrong is today. let alone feel the pride that came with it. America! BUMP your chest! and do it again, now! NOW!

  • With such an epic event like this, it makes me sad that 40 years later all we did was explore the moon a little bit and that was all. Shame we didn't go further with the momentum and do things like colonize the moon and or travel beyond to Mars by now.

  • pure crap

  • Welcome to "bad acting" - this is lesson 1.

  • Great dramatisation, lads.....again.

  • what's the film??

  • @Silverwhitenick

The film is HBOs miniseries: From Earth To the Moon - Episode 6: Mare Tranquilis

  • oh and the only thing the movie doesnt have what this show has is the helmets(the movie shows the faces in the helmet where is this one shows the special glass) and the pulling of the camera and the foot print....

  • now what is real cool is the new movie that just came out about them... everything in the movie is so procise...its called "MoonShot" great movie...the actors they got looked freaky like the astronauts got to see it 11/10

  • This made me nervous just WATCHING. (The fuel timer going down, that is)

  • Love the actor playing Collins "Well, there's two smiling faces up here."

"...and one in the Command Module."

  • Why can't people just shut up and enjoy the clip. Save your debates for the appropriate places, this not being one of them.

  • well said..just enjoy this part of our history

  • @NiceGuy019 Ya people! Leave this guy alone so he can enjoy his Apollo Fairy Tale, and continue believing in Santa, the toothfairy, and radiation-proof, test pilots!

He wants entertainment, NOT truth! Leave him be for the sake of Milli Vanilli!

  • @un4g1v3n1 Yeah, be rude and people will think you're the smartest person alive. By the way, for being an ass in your comment to me for no reason, Santa wants me to tell you that you've been put on his Naughty List.

  • pimp you are stupid.

  • Pimp. Ive been literally all over the world many times, and in some case your right about the money issue, but in my encounters with people of all different races, it is not worshiped it is a fact of life that you need it. I have worked my ass off to earn more money so that my family can live without worry. I also give to many charities. I believe in hard work to earn money, not just giving it away as certain people running in this country think.

  • you say you've "worked hard". i would bet you robbed rather than "worked" and you don't even know it and would not believe it if pointed out to you. can you share a clue as to how you've made your money?

  • Yea bounce, I spent 15 years in the navy, fell down some ladders and broke my back, got out after that and a few year of rehab and have spent years repairing Aircraft all over the world. My work week is usually a 60 hour work week, working my ass off for my two kids to go to college. any more questions/

  • A hand out? Im sorry, while you were sitting comfortable in your home; I was on the flight deck of an Aircraft carrier working 12 on 12 off making sure you have the right to spit out BS like your doing right now. Who the fuck do you think gives you the freedom to talk as you please right now. Maybe you should leave and move to china, Russia or Cuba if you dont like the freedoms you have here. Because your unable to make money like those dirty rich people, I guess we all should suffer.

  • A hand out, you better do some research son, we pay taxes in the service son. So in a way, I also paid into my own paycheck. What you get is the right to keep talking shit and not being shot like you would in other countries. What you also got for your money is a well trained aircraft mechanic that makes sure anyone on his plane gets there safe. So dont worry my little communist your money was well spent.

  • Will you allow me to thank you for your service? I am a Canadian; however, I have the deepest respect for those Americans that serve....again, thank you (and please ignore the idiots).

Isn't this series the most amazing demonstration of American knowhow?

  • The details of the show are a bit off - Thats Hollywood for ya. Anytime Spielberg and Tom Hanks produce something that what happens I guess lol. Tiny details such as: Instead of patting eachother on the backs Niel and Buzz shook hands, also I beileive they had 7 secs of fuel rather than 2 sec shown here (@1:02). Among many other little things like that but details can be everything sometimes!!!

  • @DrVegasIII Sometimes liberty is taken for dramatic effect. Did you know that they probably had 30+ seconds? The fuel gauges did not account for the sloshing around that fuel does under 1/6 gravity rather than Earth gravity.

  • Gene Kranz (Flight Director), states that Apollo 11 hits lands with 17 secs of fuel remaining!!! Thats 17 seconds.... Did you know that??? Dont know how you got "probably over 30 secs" as you commented. Now as far as you said how "Liberty is taken", in my view, this is the greatest and most curageous thing humans have ever done in history... SO dramatic streches of the truth are not needed even for a damn tv show!!! The actual event was extraordinary enough by itself.

  • My friend...you'd a better stop drinking that coffee....you seem to be getting a little.....tense!

  • Ah no my friend , I just follow closely what NASA does aswell as their history!! I try to make it out to The Cape once a year and see a launch. Im just a bit past the casual stage as far as a fan of NASA. You should check out the "When We Left Earth" DVDs (originally shown on the Discovery channel about a year or so ago.)

  • DrVegasIII...you can follow closely....; however, try to relax and stop hitting your fellow posting buddies over the head!

Not many (you and I are ones) can remember back to 1969. Agreed?

  • Yes very much agreed - I think you mightve taken my tone wrongly. My diction was worded in a way that it would be easy to do so though. I think I know why you thought it was :30 ... It was from Moon Shot probably???.. From the History channel... A few in-accuracies in that show aswell LOL!!

  • Comment removed

  • The fuel gauges were pressure based not level based like a car tank is. But it was 7-10. Just wanted to correct you there.

  • I do find a conflict and ask for some clarification. I've read that there was some, "sloshing around" of the fuel in the moon's 1/6 gravity (and hence a false low reading of the tanks). Your comment regarding pressure based would seem to negate that rationale.

    Thanks.

  • That means that the mixture of gas vs superfluid was off. It is referred to as sloshing because if the tanks are not kept stirred (or at a ratio of 1:1 starting out to 2:1 near depletion,) then it will give a false indicator. You can find more information about that in the technical debrief for apollo 13. It more or less states that due to false readings they required a stir which set into motion the activation of the defective fan and caused the sudden conversion of liquid to gas (explosion)

  • dansch....thank you.

  • dansch....another comment (in my early rising today)...could they stir those LEM tanks? (I am, of course, aware of the Apollo 13 issue.) Was provision made to stir the LEM tanks?

    Thanks, ....Yoda!

  • From what I have read, they did have a stirring mechanism on board each tank of note. Especially the 50/50 hydrazine mix. They had to make sure the different chemicals did not separate into their separate parts due to the slightly different weights the two had.

The nitro oxide (I'll get back to you again, I'm having a recall problem and need to consult notes again on the exact chem name) was more a pressure issue, so along with the stir they needed a heating system as well.

  • dansch...any further comments on the stirring mechanism of the LEM? With the criticality of knowing the exact amount of fuel on the lunar landing..wouldn't they have stirred the tanks constantly? Why not?

  • @danschaoticmind Yoda! Are you still out there educating us Apollo lovers? Did I mention to you that I attended a live speech by Neil Armstrong? (He was a director of Eaton Corporation of which I was a senior manager.) He was hilarious!!! His subject: Why the world should love the Engineer!

  • @mikefastener Of course! Also, during the Obama announcement, I spent a lot of time making phone calls and sending out emails and that sort. In the Process I ended up running into Homer Hickham. Anyways, they would only have to stir the tanks at set intervals since the comparative density was apparently close to the same. That sounds like my kind of lecture though lol! Bummer what Obama did to the space program though (I for one do not trust the go commercial only plan reminds me of the 90s)

  • @danschaoticmind Yoda! (You know the term is one of respect for your knowledge of Apollo.) My goodness--I am deeply saddened by Obama’s decision. I am not an American so I do not pay the taxes to fund these endeavours; however, I feel connected as part of the human race.

What has happened to you guys?

  • @mikefastener You are simply seeing the latest in more of the same politics. Ever since Nixon, a president comes in, makes big announcements, then fails to follow through. The fact of the matter is, NASA is basically the political grandstanding platform it has been. I was saddened at first, then sighed and said "Well that is just typical" If nothing else, we will be keeping the Orion capsule. But we have lost ARES and the Return to the moon in favour of a possible asteroid and mars by 2030.

  • @danschaoticmind at this rate i highly doubt we will even get there by 2030.

  • @danschaoticmind we won't get to mars or a asteroid by 2030 (well NASA won't anyways) because thanks to obama we no longer have a spacecraft so i say we just let the russians take care of that business and let the private sector follow behind.

  • @mikefastener Yeah Mike -many of us wonder that ourselves...perhaps its a combination of far less money and the fact that without the threat of something akin to the old USSR pulling ahead in technology you turn inward and get lazy and bitchy.

Anyway have a great day and take care.

  • @MightySaturn5 Many thanks for the response and you take care as well.

  • @MightySaturn5 Yeah without reaching you lose something.

  • they also leave out the part of charley duke saying the 'twang' before he says' tranquility base'.

  • I think they shouldve added that in because in simulations the crew always called themselves "Eagle" when simulating landing, but called themselves "Tranquility" either out of exitement or maybe an emotional connection, thats probably why Duke stuttered there because he wasn't prepared to here them say that! Not that Im a perfectionist but I follow NASA closely with a great deal of interest and also because Im an English major and the smallest of details ARE everything!!!

  • They had 7 seconds. hanks mentioned he changed it simply for dramatic appeal. then of course was the moon dust being kicked up (by walking) naturally little clouds wouldn't blow off. but that was only cause they were working in an atmospheric environment. Dust when kicked up on the moon follows a parabolic arc. That is forgivable though lol.

  • there you go again calling me names, too dumb. You know nothing about me. You have know idea what has gone on in my 46 years. Your question about God is a good one, I dont know, I only know what I see in front of my face. And what I see is perfection, the only thing that trumps the perfection is the hate that is spread by people who dont respect one another. Having faith for me gives me peace. If I die and there is nothing then I wouldnt know it anyway, if there is, than all the better.

  • Well my friend , you may not believe, but I would always respect that. the fact that some of the people you met did this to you, doesnt make them right either. wouldnt you agree that Mutual respect is a better thing. i personally have faith because i cannot believe that everything I see just appeared and are so perfect because of time. this earth, if it was just a few degrees off on its orbit would be just another wast of a rock.

  • If jupiter or Saturn were not where they are , many large objects would have destroyed us long ago. they act has vacuums and have saved us many times with thier gravity. the moon itself although dead, has probably picked up many large rocks that would have hit us./too many perfect things just to have happened by itself.

  • pimp. Why do you have to show your ass, because you dont believe. If you dont, at least be open to others belief. You want us to be open to yours. Its called respect.

  • Classy.

  • This movie was good and all, but I wish they showed the effects of no gravity. Things aren't floating around. He pours liquid into a cup? Impossible in a zero g environment.

  • Think boy!

There is ONE FIFTH gravity on the Moon. Pouring like he did WOULD be difficult if Buzz HAD been in zero G, but on the surface of the Moon as he was then, it was easier BECAUSE there is gravity.

  • Hey don't call me boy hehe. Yeah you're right, forgot about that. It still seems like there too much on earth though, but it's a movie. So they are earth.

  • Heh

Was reading some Star Trek fanfic when I typed that - too many Klingons :D

Probably, but remember that Buzz actually did do that.

  • It's not a zero G environment! They are on the surface of the moon, not in free fall as they would be in Earth orbit!

  • actually, the moon has its own gravity; it is about one-sixth what it is here on earth. which, as it happens, is very much enough to pour wine.

  • The moon has 1 6th the Grav of earth, it would be possible and things wont float. if they floated, the lander couldnt land without an anchor

  • Answer to RetroVGamer, the moon as a gravity of 1/6 the gravity of the earth, so it does have a certain gravity on it wich allows stuff to act nearly as they do on earth.

  • MUCHAS GRACIAS

  • They had reserved personalities, Buzz and Neil.

  • three words.... God bless America

  • And Nazi Germany, considering many of the top scientists in the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo program were Germans.

  • u know whats weird. The command module was named columbia- cm--107. there was also a space shuttle which disintegrated name space shuttle columbia on mission sts-107.

  • There was also a CM called Challenger....

    and?

  • I think Challenger was a LEM(IIRC)

  • thats right, we didnt land on the moon, we sent robots that walked all over the place and picked up several hundred pounds of moon rocks and then, those robots got back in thier ship and flew the rocks back home.... And that is how we got several hundred lbs of moon rocks..

  • FANTASTIC!! FANTASTIC!! Anyone who believes that this was fake, well I feel sorry for you.You wern't hugged enough as a kid or something. My father is a high level aerospace engineer, and you simply don't know what your talking about. Go back to school, and visit NASA! Don't beleive in the stupidity of the media and the darkness that has come over this country. Don't listen to Liars! These people have nothing better to do than to tear down Great Moments in history.

    God loves you my friend!

  • Amen brother! Those dorks probablu in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. And

that it's possible to survive a nuclear

    explosion inside a lead lined

refrigerator. This was a great moment

in the history of the World.

    Good luck Mister Gorsky. :).

  • NASA's latest probe that just launched, the LRO, will be taking super high resolution pictures of the moon, as well as specifically look for the landing sites from the Apollo missions and all we left behind. Shall be quite exciting to see what images it sends back in the next few weeks!

  • Awesome! I too look forward to seeing the images and hope and pray that they will be accurate and true.

  • @Blahbevava Settle down, swallow your pride please.

  • @Blahbevava Well said my friend

  • @Blahbevava Go, actually visit the LEM, and while you're there, poke your finger through the walls, only an idiot would believe were capable of holding a pressure, capable of creating a sustainable living environment. If you can't use your own eyes, and ears to spot this fraud, then perhaps it's time to go live with Santa and his elves!

  • excellent movie.RESPECT TO THE THOUSANDS of people that worked to bulld the machines that took us to the moon.and as for the conspiracy freaks who sit all day home ,playin playstation or talking with other conspiracy freaks in chat rooms WAKE UP nerds.whats next?do you also believe that the earth is flat?or or we live in a matrix world? to all conspiracy theorist....get out more.live your lifes.date, kiss a girl,GET OF THE FUCKIN COMPUTERS.FIND SOME MEANING IN YOUR LIFES.........PLS.

  • for the first time in internet history.. i read a very good comment..tottaly agree.voyage to the moon is real!

  • Are there ever any scientists with insight into a hoax? I've never heard of any, but have heard many kids make fun of Apollo. Sad.

  • Given the state of special effects technology in 1969, it would have been even more difficult to "fake" a landing than it was to do it for real.

  • Great series. For dramatic effect, they didn't show the shoulder and waist harnesses the real astronauts wore while flying the LM - they didn't just stand at the windows like shown here.

  • I think there is one quick shot of the waist clips being hooked on one of the episodes, but it's very quick.

  • Great sequence, but a HUGE goof at 7:53, where he steps into an EXISTING FOOTPRINT (presumably from an earlier take). How'd they miss that!?

  • That was purposely added, Neil Armstrong before he said those famous words, when he was on the foot of the LEM he took his left foot briefly to see how deep the Soil was.

  • Hey conspiracy nuts.If the moon landing was faked then why didn't the Russians who were monitoring it all with their own equipment show any proof? The Russians were trying to beat us to the moon.Oh let me guess. The very same Soviet Union who backed up North Vietnam against us,set up missles in Cuba and were about to go to atomic war with the U.S. were in on the moon fake as well? We went to the moon. The world is not flat.$700 billion to save our economy? Now that's what I call a real conspiracy.

  • Unfortunately most people wouldn't understand it if the plume wasn't there. Just like there is exterior sound in space in the movies but there is not in reality.

  • @un4g1v3n1 You are such a fucking idiot! The so-called "radiation" is nothing more than high-energy protons and electrons from the sun. The shielding on Apollo was more than adequate and the trajectory of the spacecraft took it through the thinnest points of the "radiation". Satellite manufacturers the world over use data from Apollo to build shielding so if the data is faked then there will be a LOT of dead satellites and pissed off people.

  • 08cz2, of course, idiot. Let me guess, obsessed with the theory that the moon landings were hoaxed?
