2:52/2:53 i believe you're hearing the slots of the "chalkboard" sliding as he tilts. it. the difficulty of this trick is clearly not in getting the answers, but in having them appear in the correct places. the little board he has appears far more intricate then it needs to be for just writing with chalk. he's clearly writing the khaki answer on the far right (his right) board and then he tilts it, you hear an odd noise and suddenly khaki is written in the middle.

The trick is easy...

He always writes the answer to the previous question -- notice he always get the answers before the reveal.

That way,when he is writing the answer to the current question,he is actually writing the answer to the last question.
