  • Heaviest fucking riff!

  • I`d love to give him a my ferrari F40.

i live in japan near tokyo so i can`t send a car for him but i hope so.

  • omg he is so good not even an asian could do better

  • And then he acts like it was no big deal

  • He is insane in so many levels O.O !

  • Look at the last sound of the main sweep at 1:32 - what is Yngwie doing there:

    - he's picking the last note doing a storng bend with the left hand,

    - he lowers the hand to use the tremolo arm and ON HIS WAY down he uses the SWITCH! Moreover,

    - he does it all a fraction of second after finishing his killer sweep

    That's the definition of "awesome".

  • @Mosiowaty Yes, I saw what he's done there, was fuckin' killer bro!

  • @Mosiowaty It's less hard with scalloped guitar.

  • Hi, wanna listen the studio version of this song? Just copy and paste this link: /watch?v=k62g3EkIRFU

  • @eduardo0796 its banned in germany NOOOO :(

  • @Aremine ok i will try to fix it

  • When i listen to this at nitght: My mom says she cant sleep cause of the noise,

I say i cant sleep cause of the headbanging

  • is the studio version on youtube?

  • This is the best video of him yet on here.. Amazing

  • Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, and Buckethead should do a huge trio solo type thing together!!

  • @deadeye146 ya that would be awesome but malmsteen would say no

  • if there is a hero he is the one!!

  • such wasteless movement, proof that he's a true master

  • @songetsu1 fuck yeah, its insane. he has this shit mastered.

  • 0:30

close your eyes. it sounds like a fucking pacman guitar.

  • 0:53 - 1:11 pretty cool blue run scale

  • i love his passion, style and everything! he just awesome!

  • This fat fuck STILL kicks ass! This was an eeeeexxxceellllent version of DD! His sweeping and alternate picking is just so efficient

  • aguante el gordo carajo!!! el mejor guitarrista del universo

  • 1:36 what just happened ? : O

  • Thumbs up if your head exploded !!!

  • ジャガーでこんな弾き方できるのか? Demon Driver 練習してます。

  • WHT A DICK

  • Gee!! this is very powerful, I could even feel the song can't help itself.

  • Micheal angelo batio vs. Yngwie = pure fucking metal clash!

  • @HeavyMetalVEVO

They Should Do A Song Together.

  • >Kurt: ...great songwriter

Except that, well, there was nothing to any of Nirvana's music. It was typical pop, but with a dirtier sound, incoherent vocals, and corny, self-absorbed lyrics.

You can't call Kurt a "crap guitarist," since there wasn't much that even qualified him to be defined as a guitarist.

  • I think this is the best sweeping ive heard in my life !!!!!!

  • Kurt and Yngwie are (were) both great musicians.Of course,Yngwie plays something completely different, which makes a comparison very difficult. He can sing pretty good,at least he has a cool voice, but he doesn't really use it.

However.I love the main riff in this song and the arpeggio section. The main riff is one of the best riffs I have ever heard in my life.Seriously.

  • @GuitarFretMan do you mean kurt cobain? no... you can't put yngwie and kurt cobain on the same sentence..

  • @bobbyprayogo Yes,I do.Though I know what you mean, and you're right.I just wanted to say that both are very different and that you cannot really compare the 2 as a whole.Of course,Yngwie beats him on guitar in every single point.

  • @bobbyprayogo that you cant! yngwie could sale around the universe twice before kurt figured out the first two bars to blitzkreig.

  • Kurt: crap guitarists, great songwriter

    Yngwie: amazing guitarists, evil songwriter

My opinion is that kurt could not play solos to save his life but wrote some of the coolest riffs in rock

  • 5 people got a guitar shoved up their As$

  • you cant compare malmsteen to cobain!? malmsteen is playing and composing on a much higher level than kurt

  • sorry again for the bad english _ Like i said im a 13 years old portuguese boy so i think i'm excused ;)

  • :) ....... NOPE YOU CAN SAY THAT MALMSTEEN WAS A BETTER GUITARIST IN TECHNICAL TERMS THAT WAY I AGREE....BUT COBAIN HAS ALSO EXCELLENT MERIT FOR DOING WHAT HE DID...BUT WHAT'S THE PROBLEM IF HE WAS DEPRESSED...I MEAN MALMSTEEN IS FAT AND COCKY BUT THAT'S NO REASON TO PEOPLE DISLIKE HIM...SO WHY SHOULD WE HATE A GUY THAT WITHOUT ANY TYPE OF MUSIC LESSONS/MUSIC THEORY LOOOOL

YOU SAY THAT HIS MUSIC HAD ONLY A FEW CHORDS BUT YOU ARE UNDERESTIMATING THE POWER AND EXPRESSION OF IT...

  • @Floragramp

Whatever dude. It's clear this is a pointless argument. And I don't even want to read that comment because the caps lock burns my eyes.

Bottom line: I don't like Kurt Cobain because he's boring and overrated. I'll let you away with calling him a "powerful musician" but not a "great guitarist".

  • @runtodemhills Fair enough :)

  • Correction : Swapp Becker with Richie Blackmore XDD

  • OOH almost forgot - Malmsteen wasn't a pioneer also lol I mean you do know Jason Becker and uli john roth...right?

  • PS: I think that if you have 17 years old already you aren't a kid anymore...or am im wrong ? : /

  • He's outrunning the drums...

  • I quit.

  • he took everything i taught him to a whole new level!!!!lol.fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • He makes it look easy :D

  • by far my favorite song aside from black star.

  • Its so good its depressing

  • ...yawn

  • I'm better... na never mind Yngwie you are the MAN

  • Those sweeps are hard.

  • is anyones fav part at 1:40 to 1:43 on the bend?

  • fuck!, i wish to be like him someday.... :)

  • He is probably the biggest master of finding new ways of improvising and adapting his playing. I never heard anything even close in comparison!

  • Yngwie is my Guitar Hero!!and there's no question bout it!

  • 1:36 is just Unearthly !

  • @incommandp fucking agree =o.... i've seen lots of different amaizing stuff, that guitar players do, i can even do some of them my self.. but that its just... God can;t even do that !

  • There are other Guitar Players out there but there is Only One Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

  • Yngwie playing blues and pentatonic scales, you don't see that every day :D

  • And that's where yngwie ripped off Deep Purple Dead Or Alive ;)

  • how can he play an arpeggio using 5 fingers in such a fluid manner

  • @PabloakaChuck360 he has 6 fingers??? cuz i swear u can only use four fingers while playing arpeggios

  • @kaefbaml I can with 5, but he's god, lol!!!!

  • @PabloakaChuck360 please tell me what these 5 finger sweeps are cuz holy shit i want to learn them, and please dont say the 5th finger is a tap, cuz thats retarded

  • @kaefbaml The most common Malmsteen sweep is that he leaves his index finger, which is at most times static, in the 1st fret, using all other three except the pinky to scale up and down the fretboard. The pinky is mainly used by him to travel some 4 or 5 frets up the 1st string to complete the arpeggio. I recommend u watch a blitzkreig video of him, when he finishes both repetitions where he makes a very cool sweep lick!!!

  • It's beyond me how they didn't retake this.

  • nice, i see alot ofd hendrix in this

  • shit yeah!

  • poiuqhwf oihiehpuceiwqoihepoiwhqepmxueuwpmxpouwmx..Yeah!!! 5*

  • aaaargh i love this song but it is out of time...and what tuning does he use its messed up but epic

  • YNGWIE MESSING UP???? UNHEARD OF!

    naaah just messing with you

yeah he really does mess up at the best part

  • @franktheninja2 1/2 step down

  • so out of time! come on yngwie

  • really?

  • Yes. Listen to Dead or alive.

  • Wow, I always thought the only song he "borrowed" was Spotlight Kid! Nontheless, Demon Driver is different enough I suppose......

  • killer tone

  • You can't do nothing better with guitar than yngwie..

  • 4nkka, you just said they could do something better than ynwie. such atrocious grammar changes the meaning of your sentence.

  • @4NKKA Yeah you can do better, like playing with feelings.

  • @4NKKA yes u can

  • @4NKKA Steve Vai :)

  • @4NKKA You are wrong my friend-- just because he's fast that doesn't mean he is the best guitarist lol kurt cobain is an example : With little he did much

  • @Floragramp

    He did?

  • @runtodemhills o.O come on... guys _ Malmsteen is a awesome player...one of the best of all time -- but kurt cobain is also one of the best because - it isnt the speed or if you can do arpeggios while you taking a piss that matters but doing good music to save peoples lifes...my friend you are hearing this from a 13 years od kid ;)

  • @Floragramp

Ahh, well. I kinda gathered that. It's only the disgruntled, neurotic youth that listen to Nirvana. No offence.

But guitar wise, Kurt Cobain was no pioneer. He didn't do anything that hadn't been done before. He just came along at the right time and wrote dull music that appealed to dull people. It just so happens there's a shitload of dull people out there.

And you're hearing this from a 17 year old kid. ;)

  • @runtodemhills

LOOOOOOOOOOOL - A great guitarist doesn't consist in beating Guinness Records, the first one, the fastest one... That's very good dude...actually it's great...but the POINT is doing music that can change peoples lifes, ideals and life point of view...And Kurt brought humility (intentional or not )...BUT don't argue music styles tha'ts stupid lol because in that area there's no best or worse but there are Tastes - sorry bad english - I'm Portuguese :)

  • @Floragramp

Well, that's great that Kurt shared his depression with so many others but that still doesn't make him a great guitarist. That's the point I was arguing.

Yngwie was a pioneer in the same sence that Black Sabbath pioneered heavy metal. Sure, there were others (Zep, Purple) before that had elements of the genre in their sound but never really capitalized on it. Also Jason Becker came after Yngwie.

And yeah, I guess that's makes me a "young adult". Whatever that is.

  • @4NKKA ahahah right they don't take time to practiceXD égo-égo sissy dont understand canADIAN yeah XD

  • @4NKKA paul gilbert begs to differ

  • aah malmsteen never ceases to amaze me...he is so great!! i think he is the best musician ever born after mozart....

  • The main riff in this song is so devastating.......I like how in this version he goes back to it after the solo, as opposed to the album version (Eclipse)where it goes back to first verse after the solo.

  • that's right - "devastating" is a good word it ;)

  • probably yngwies best solo!

  • right - on the recorded version you mean

  • tight as! and good vibrato, id like to hear him play other stuff aswel but i guess its what hes known for innit

  • I meant lute not lyre.

  • Legend has it that came across a 400+ year old lyre with a scalloped neck when he was working with a luthier as a teen.

  • wuts a lute

  • i hate him his just so awesome its not funny wen do u rekon he started playing guitar i rekon his mum hade him and he came out wih a fender lol

its not funny but im drunk

  • the day jimmy hendrix died and it was broadcast on the news was the day he picked up guitar.

His family were quite the bunch of musicians and he had a massive amount of influence from classical composers and his music theory quite good at a younger age before he took up guitar. hope that helped and... although im not drunk... im on 2 X pills :P green cobras... im fucking HIGH!

  • yes sir. no sir. 3 bags full sir. i didnt mark ur comment as spam.

  • Thank You

  • He started playing when he was five years old. He became obsessed when he was about seven years old, which is when he practiced an average of about 8-9 hours a day for 10 years.

  • This is sick!

  • what an opening riff...it's everything you want in power metal!

  • look at his hand... its not natural! lol its not natural... its yngwie

  • album eclipse:

great choice! But the drum record is not the same like in the video :(

  • the king of sweeps

  • Yngwie KICKS ASS back in the day and now and all other male guitarists out there are only jealous if they say he sucks!!!! PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!

  • I'm sure there a female guitarist who dislike him as well.

  • Damn.. I think Lucifer made a deal with him , not with Robert Johnson ¬¬ LOL

  • Yngwie gets hated on too much hes incredible

  • @scribbles8675309

you are right because people are jealous of him

  • @scribbles8675309 Seriously. I've watched this video 100 times since the last comment I left. His solo on this is just brilliant. It's got balls.........I like balls.

  • @scribbles8675309 he is an incredible guitar player, but hes sooooo damn cocky. he acts like everything is soooo easy and acts like hes the best guitar player of all time. which he isnt.

  • @scribbles8675309 It's not the guitar playing, it's the everything else.

  • @scribbles8675309 Yeah but he is a dick..... just happens to be a great musician so I will remain jealous XD

  • the best solo¡¡

  • WOW

  • I cant stop watching this video!!!luv it

  • GREAT YNGWIE

  • AMAZING!!!

  • diabolic

  • 32-45

    heaven vs. hell theme music!

  • Blah blah blah... Batio, Romeo this that this that... blah blah blah... Like art in the eye of the beholder - music in the ear of the listener. Kids.

  • Great track. This was another superb inclusion at the UK gigs.

  • Tight ass intro riff!

  • true, true

  • gob smackingly totally amazing others make a better sound on the axe but no ones faster than Mr M

  • actually, paul gilbert is pretty close, and I know that michael angelo batio can play this fast easily.

  • yeah micheal angelo can play that fast but with no fell like a robot and gilbert is pretty close and some time faster and malmsteen is somtime faster so i think that gilbert and malmsteen on thecnic they are equal but the mamsteen stuff are fucking fucking fucking fucking fucking better

  • i really don't think that facial expressions mean anything. when's the last time you heard a song you loved, but decided it was bad, since the guitarist didn't look like he was having a facial seizure? emotions displayed while playing don't make the song, the notes make the song.

  • i don't say anything about facial expression

  • well, then what constitutes emotion? all other body parts that might express how you feel are while playing are used while playing (i.e. the hands), so the face is the only part that allows you to emote.

  • ya michael angelo batio can play faster, but gilbert and malmsteen have him waaaay beat in creativity

  • Totally agree but you left out felling! Michael angelo is more of a showoff, he has like 3 good songs, but they aren't something you listen to as much as Paul gilbert and Yngwie malmsteen

  • You are ryt! MAB is a great player no doubt about it. I lyk him when he does that shred circus on the guitar but I'm not into MAB's music. I only appreciate his compositions a little bit.

  • Michael Romeo spanks everyone, his speed, technique, and incredible style and feeling is insane.
