  • Brian at 2:10 looks amazing, shows how much this means to him!

  • I'm in this video!!!!

  • God! Hate this version of the intro.

  • 2:00 to 2:25 Brian Fallon activates star power

  • RIP Clarence Clemons. You will be missed

  • love you bruce

  • Fallon KILLS his verse. So good.

  • this is tight

  • Now on the street tonight the lights grow dim

The walls of my room are closing in

There's a war outside still raging

You say it ain't ours anymore to win

    "I want to sleep beneath

Peaceful skies in my lover's bed

With a wide open country in my eyes

And these romantic dreams in my head" ...Truly poetic and profound. And this Fallon kid? Can you get any more authentic than this? I am blown away.

  • totally brilliant, brian fallon was fucking awesome, made my spine tingle,it doesnt get any better than this!

  • what a great song

  • they both fucking kill it

  • This is about as good as it gets.

  • @triodan21 I beg to differ. Check out Mike Ness and Bruce playing Badluck. Pretty hard to up that performance.

  • My two favorite musicians! It doesn't get better than that!!!

  • The boss and his son

  • 2:05 You can see Brian's dreams coming true

  • 1 people surrender

  • nobody shares a mic with a dude better than Bruce Springsteen!

  • listen to that great drummer and bruce springsteen with his guitar amazing

this is music not all that bullshit of this time

  • que chingona musicaaa!!!! yeah!!! brucee!!!

  • ahhhh....3:32. Pure joy

  • I refer to Brian Fallon as "The Future"... I've seen the future of Rock N Roll and it is The Gaslight Anthem

  • got my tickets to manchester this week, roll on june, if theres one thing im gonna make sure i live long enough to see its bruce, roll on june!!!!

  • @crispee1978 im gonna see him twice in spain. 1st time with my dad and a girl friend and more relatives for the tour opening concert in Seville. The next month its gonna be me...and a girl. gonna be two great weekends.

  • BRUCE IS THE FUCKIN BOSS FOREVER !!

  • @CallmeToddy Cheers to you mate. Well said

  • This man has so much power, he can build a fuckin rockin universe ! !

  • That Brian dude can sing!

  • @kramadey Check out the Gaslight Anthem, his band is spectacular.

  • brian fallon is god

  • Portugal is waiting for you Bruce... :)

  • 2:08 - 2:11 looks like Brian has tears in his eyes! And who could blame him?! Dream come true! I was there and it was amazing, and hopefully The Gaslight Anthem joins Bruce & The Band again in 2012 when I shall be attending again! :D Rock and roll icons!

  • He doesn't think he's dallas you fucktard and he has no intention to be. 2:06 is proof he deserves to be there and while he may not be on a level with the boss (yet) he puts more soul into his songs than anybody else at the moment- go see the gaslight anthem live and then tell me he has no stage presence..... retard

  • He has no stage presence lmfao, im not saying Dallas Green does, but look at this guy, he thinks hes Dallas. Dallas is way more successful then Brian Fallon. Alexis and City And Colour are way better than Gaslight Anthem...Dallas Green or Brian Fallon dont deserve to be on the same stage as the boss. No one does. Hes on a whole other level

  • @fenderDG6

I believe that the Boss knows a little bit about music then you do sir. So if the Boss decides to put Brian Fallon on stage, then he knows what he's doing and theres obviously something the Brians doing right.

  • @fenderDG6 ur comments are laughable! I never reply to bitchy youtube comments but...my god! I have seen gaslight anthem live, brian has more stage presence than anyone else of this generation. So much honestly and passion in his lyrics and charisma! yes the boss is on another level, but Brian and gaslight are the future!

  • Comment removed

  • Brian Fallon is amazing. You can see how overwhelmed he is when singing.

  • I love how obvious it is how excited Brian is to be onstage with his hero. You can tell this is his dream come true.

  • This is so powerful. Music truly does save lives.

  • grande brian!!!muy grande

  • Honestly the band and Bruce for that matter look bored. They've played this song a million times...so when Brian comes on and belts it out you are reminded how powerful this song is. Thank God for Bruce Springsteen and Brain Fallon. This shit is legit.

  • The verse Brian sings describes what Gaslight is so perfectly, and you can totally see it in his eyes. Powerful stuff.

  • 1 fool would rather be in school than listening to a 3 minute record.

  • jesus...Fallon is rli good...

  • Never heard of Brian Fallon and Gaslight Anthem. That 20 seconds is enough for me to go and buy their album. He is great.

  • @jerseyjoker1 Excellent choice! If you're interested, there's three: "Sink or Swim" "The '59 Sound" (their big one) and the newest is "American Slang". He also has a solo record called "Elsie" which I personally think is better than American Slang. You maybe know all that... just trying to spread the good word!

  • @thepunkfish109 Wasn't a huge fan of American Slang myself personally i'll go with Great Expectations, so many things about that song that just hit me flat in the face, it's possible my favorite song atm, that and Here's looking at you kid.

  • @caldablog89 Agreed. The older stuff hits me a bit harder too.

  • Brian is standing there with his all-time idol, playing a song he cares about, in front of thousands of people. And he still manages to swell up and be the music. Amazing..

  • I watch this at least once a week. It's like a ritual that continually strengthens my faith in modern music.

  • @ryan1234821 same ritual here hahaha

  • wow, i always thought the live acoustic version of no surrender was my favorite, but this comes quite close.

  • Absolutely brilliant, Mr. Fallon kicks the shit out of this version, and quite possibly, does it better than Bruce. Watch Bruce watching Brian --

  • Bruce and Chuck Berry ARE Rock and Roll

  • 238 people learned more from a 3 minute record than they ever learned in school.

  • TOO FREAKING ADORABLE!!!

  • My fucking God that was brilliant

  • I like how most of the comments on this Springsteen video are about Brian. :D

  • I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The Gaslight Anthem are going to be the saviors of rock and roll.

  • they shouldd have given brain his own mic, springsteins near enough head butting him :P great performance:)

  • 2:04 - 2:11 holy shit!!!!

  • That Brian Fallon fella is pretty awesome. That's some insane passion in his singing.

  • haha i wonder if some ones mum tells brians mum there son has done something amasing like become a brain surgion..... id love to see his mums reaction (Well my son sang with bruice springsteen) haha that would be something id pay to see

  • Shit. That must have been quite something for a guy who obviously grew up as a big fan of Springsteen. That gave me chills. Wow.

  • The torch has been passed

  • I don't even listen to Gaslight Anthem, but watching this makes me want to....wow. He and Bruce together on this was just INSANE.

  • @altohart Oh, do listen to 'em. They're fantastic. Songs like "The Patient Ferris Wheel", "Here's Looking At You, Kid", "Bring It On", "American Slang" (etc.) deserve to be discovered!

  • @altohart: Check out Gaslight Anthem's performance of "Boxer" and "Great Expectations" from Bonnaroo 2010. It will make you a believer. Then buy the albums. Trust me.

  • I'm so jealous...I think my PC will blow up in a sec.

  • No Surrender, anthem of my life!

  • 0 people have surrendered!

  • Who else is crying?

  • @TheYajrennat I got teary eyed when brian screamed 'we swore blood brothers against the wind, I'm ready to grow young again! that was insanely powerful vocal

  • When Brian starts singing and looks into the camera, its like he's touching your soul.

  • You can see me and my friend in the crowd during this song! Plus its great that Brain Fallon is singing with Bruce because this was the gig that I discovered the Gaslight Anthem and they are now my 2nd favouite band behind Bruce!!!!!!!

  • This. Is. Perfect.

  • when was thiss?

  • @lazylauren111 2008 I think.

  • I just shed a tear. Bruce is absolutely the man, and to watch him pass the torch to someone so perfectly adept at carrying it, so beautiful!!!!! Brian Fallon is a humble heir to the crown!

  • It doesn't get any better than this.

  • R.I.P. Clarence Clemons

  • R.I.P Big Man, Keep On Playing <3

  • is he normally dressed like that or is it like "i need to get dressed super fancy cus im with the boss"?????????

  • No surrender Big man. get well soon

  • I'm happy to see there are no dislikes here:)

  • Listen to Viktor Olsson - When we were young, here on youtube!

  • Even with The Shawshank Redemption in my collection, Hyde Park Calling is still the best DVD I own!

  • I feel so happy for Brian because Bruce is such an inspiration to him and getting to perform with him must be incredible. I could have this on replay all day - Bruce + Brian + No Surrender = an amazing performance.

  • its heart warming to see a pair of musicians who care so much about music as these two do. I dont really need to say much about the Boss but its great to see Brian playing with his hero and truly loving every minute of it. Truly great stuff

  • Every time I sing along to No Surrender, I try to match what Brian does in that second verse, but I can never pull it off. Nevertheless, he has completely altered this song for me and I'd like to thank him for that. I can never listen to the original the same way again.

  • Feels abit weird seeing Brian without a guitar :P

  • Although forgotten by the Boss, Brazilian fans worship you!!!!

  • Gave me the chills.

  • I love reading the comments to this video and seeing how many other people love Brian as much as me. He really is the most geniune and true rock star around at the minute. I love how happy he must be playing with Bruce here. I feel like he's pretty much saved music.

  • Bruce you're my true hero, greetings from a happy dude in Sweden !

  • Love how Brian looks like he has won first prize in the sweet draw all the way thro he is inawe!

  • I have seen the savior of Rock and roll in 2011, and his name is Brian Fallon.

  • @fenderDG6 Your saying that about a man who's had a stage presence for a few more years than Dallas Green now are you, don't make sense him trying to copy someone that's he's been in the industry a couple years longer than. Not to mention the fact that he is on stage WITH the boss.

  • Yeah. Yeah, they heard that back in Jersey.

  • Dreams really do come true. I can only imagine how times Brian sang this song in his room picturing the boss by his side. He's nervous as hell, but he's still singing it with everything he"s got. He worked his ass off to get this moment and the torch got passed that night. You have Bruce's blessings, make Jersey proud.

  • hahaha this is so rad. I'm so happy for Brian.

  • There are no words to express my enchantment of that.

  • wish i was that talented, imagine sounding like that! amazing

  • I just wanted to say thank you. I haven't watched this video in a while, because I ripped it and put it on my Ipod. I can't listen to my Born in the U.S.A. CD without hearing Brian sing the second verse. A simple thank you, cause this song is on repeat on my Ipod.

  • this seriously gives me chills everytime i watch it. i love seeing this level of passion in music.

  • one word. epic !

  • one word. epic !

  • Brian Fallon taught all the Boss he knows!! Great Stuff

  • this is brilliant

  • 3:28-3:55 Chilling

  • 2:05 Good for Brian that he was only singing one song, 'cause he's really tearing his voice asunder here =P, (and it sounds awesome!!!!)

  • @MrGibsonJunior He opened for Bruce that night. The kid is a machine lol. Just can't get enough of these two together.

  • dude, the moment at 2:09 mark..unbelievable.

  • "These drums and these guitars!" Fallon's verse is so epic.

    Bruce passing the torch?

  • @2:00 - 2:30 is the closest anyone has come to singing with as much soul as Bruce.

  • @eggrollrocks Must agree somewhat anyway -

  • Brian Really Gives It His All, He's A True Artist And Musician. He Never Projects That Hard For Any Gaslight Anthem Songs, Because They Don't Play For Crowds That Big. He's Very True To The Moment And I Admire That Immensely.

  • I get chills when I watch this

  • freakin amazing - God i love that man!

  • The only Boss i listen to!

  • Brian is epic! Bruce is epic! This DVD is amazing, I suggest it to everyone from Springsteen vets to the new comers. Several times I had to get up and jump around I had so much excitement.

  • 3:26 haha brian looks demented

  • 'kin brilliant that

  • Two of NJ's finest.

  • @chanter2 what do you mean 2 of lol, there's no one better to have ever come outta jersey than these two.

  • @silentshiva John stewart?

  • That skinny dude has got some LUNGS!!!

When he first stepped to the mic I couldn't hear Springsteen anymore...and then when he took the verse by himself I fell out of my chair!!!

  • @billthaxton yeah man he's amazing. I strongly suggest you check out his band the gaslight anthem.

  • If you don't know Brian Fallon, look into his eyes at the 2:10 mark. That will tell you everything you need to know about him.

  • @y2jusy He's living the drem of a lifetime ...... :D

  • That must have been (one of) the best day(s) of Brian's life. On the other hand, when there is someone out there who should deserve it, it's Brian.

  • and he's a really nice guy with the best band around!

  • oh. shit.

  • His name is Brian Fallon.

  • @chelsea300982 Thank you!!!
