  • @M3sslah Yeah, it's an 88 key M-audio keyboard controller.

  • @Tgreenfi08 That's what I have! I am just starting to get in to composing and mixing to take advantage of it. Have no clue where to start, ideas?

  • @Tgreenfi08 This is a great home studio setup! Love the film music! It's almost as if you're at the movies or watching from your TV set at home!

  • I was curious what are you using for the drums (VST/AU)?

  • AMAZING !!!!

  • hi nice video mate, i have a question, do you pre-map your MPC pad control unit to play different notes in lets say the East West libraries for example?

  • thumbs up if FF5 brought you here! (P.S. is that a mini version of the family force 5000?!) awesome sauce

  • much respect.

  • epic

  • Nice vid man

  • awsomness!!!

  • 1:18 he plays call of duty???

  • Best video on YOUTUBE

  • Wow this is professional. Listen to my compositions too! :)

  • I am speechless. Now THIS is a true musician. Admittedly, I produce hip-hop and my music is fairly popular, I still aspire to really learn how to compose masterpieces such as this.

  • Checkout my videos

  • I got some Clint Mansell vibes there. Really good :p

  • I was thinking about buying the eastwest sinphonic choir program 'cause it lets you play with syllables but Guitar Center doesn't sell it anymore. There's another called Vienna choir. However, which one do you recomend is the best choir software?

  • Sounds really good, can you comment on EastWest, how's the expressivness? I'm using Synful Orchestra, while it can sound amazing, the basses don't sound very good IMHO, but you can play around with using velocity, legato and an expression pedal and it can sound absolutely amazing for wind, brass and solo strings, the non solo strings esp. cellos and basses are a bit weak :-/

  • So great.

  • so good

  • Dude how could that keyboard host super real sound effects?

is that even possible? its like hes going a one man orchestra.

  • That was Amazing. Good Luck!

  • Wow you're very skilled sir, amazing :)

  • what version of vienna symphonic did you use for the strings? the orchestral strings, appassionata strings? also the vocals?

  • You´re a great composer man! I´ve always wanted to ask this question to someone who compose the kind of music that you do: in which order do you use to record everything when it comes to this kind of epic-dramatic songs?

  • very nice.......but my answer would be cubase! ;-)

  • I have those headphones haha

  • it sound good

  • that would make a good sample

  • WOW..really dramatic..I enjoyed it very much.

  • Woow! Awesome!!

    Sounds fantastic as Hans Zimmer!

    Amazing Job!

  • Woa that is AWESOME, how do you get such realistic virtual instruments?

  • Yeah man, awesome track!

  • Sounds epic my man. Great Job

  • What virtual instruments do you use? Sounds great!

  • Dude that was sooooooo sick!! GLORY! haha..

  • What headphones are you using sir?

  • @NikoToribio Sennheisers :)

  • @Tgreenfi08 I bought a pair of those on Sunday, and I love them. Any ways, Do you remember where you got some of your soundfonts. I can't seem to find a choir or string essemble that I like.

  • what's a good software to use? i need something to sync up audio and video, but that's made for creating audio

  • @8bitsurrender Logic Pro would be the answer.

  • @8bitsurrender The answer you got was quite simplistic I'm afraid...

Do you use PC or Mac?

Normally (for both platforms) I would recommend Nuendo 5.

It is very good at handling video-audio sync and is just as capable at multi-track music making as Cubase and Logic - maybe even a touch less clumsy then Logic...

  • @OmriLahavComposer thanks for the reply. i use PC actually.

  • @8bitsurrender use logic if you use apple. Use Cubase if you use Win. Any Video editing software can edit sound usually.

  • amazing. I'm an armature composer who started out 2 years ago, attempting to write mostly orchestral music, and its stuff like this that inspires me. I'm just trying to figure out how to even begin to get a sound even beginning to sound like that lol

  • @mickomoo First off, listen to the great composers, and if you're still in school, learn composition. I was a music minor but didn't get the opportunity to actually study composition. Most importantly, you need the gear necessary to do what you want to do. Start out with a powerful mac running garageband, and when you're ready, add logic pro. The sounds I'm getting are high quality ones from East West, Native Instruments, and others.

  • @Tgreenfi08

I'm running Native Instruments Komplete 7 in FL Studio 10 and it does me fine ( I own a highend PC & can't get Logic unless I Hackintosh) and I love the orchestral sounds it comes with, they seem really good, what's the difference between NI and East West?

  • @Tgreenfi08

What Brass & Choirs software do you use ?

  • @Tgreenfi08 Which EAST WEST package are you using though? The expensive one I bet lol - the silver pack for $200 doesn't sound like this lol

  • @Tgreenfi08 Can you suggest some of your favorite composers to listen to and analyze?

  • Amazing

  • Awesome :D

  • how much money do you have invest in all your equipment to get started?

are you using fl studio, reason etc?

  • this is crazy I need in I need in always wanted to do this

  • EPIC!!!

*with her newfound superpowers, she moves on to defeat the supervillain... her doppelganger.*

  • That was great

  • Awesome! I've been thinking for a while, what is the instrument at 0:57. I haven't found the name of it

  • @Tietovirus Like on inception? prettt sure its just a low note on a brass instrument. you can get the same effect on garageband if you play a low note on trumpet section or something :)

  • awesome !

  • this is one of the best epic tracks Ive ever heard

  • This is absolutely phenomenal! I have just got myself a mac and logic so will be starting to post videos. But once again man this is fantastic.

    What plugins are you using?

    Thanks, Mykailo.

  • Terrible camera-work. Lovely video.

  • Wow

  • Well done!

  • Thrilling! Thanks for sharing! I want to hear you music in films! Do you use paper (staff paper) to draft or even completely write down you compositions or the music is living and developing in your head entirely until it is written down in Logic Pro?

  • @volodian That's a great question. I'm the type of person that has to hear it in my head before I put it down. If I play around with chords and notes it could take hours to write. I don't write anything down. I can already hear it, so I play it out on my Midi keyboard with the various software instruments. So yes, music lives in my head until written in Logic Pro.

  • @Tgreenfi08 Great Tune & Great Home Studio! A Lot Of Effort!

  • @Tgreenfi08 I heard music in my head gtoo its awesome

  • @Tgreenfi08 ,that's pretty impressive, man

  • for which movies you have already composed music?

  • @DKAkuYaenko a documentary, and a couple of small ones. I'm hoping for big placements!

  • @Tgreenfi08

    You deserved more success!

Can you tell me which VST's you use?

Im using now EWQL Symphonic Orchestra and EWQL RA for orchestral stuff but im not reallynsatisfed with them :/

  • thats shit is crazy

  • really awesome sound! what vst or sample library are u using? it sounds so great... need this sound, too!

  • @berlinmuzik Mostly EastWest stuff. Stormdrum 2, Goliath, but also Native Instruments and a little Symphobia.

  • Wow!Amazing.. Still wondering why ddnt u get an oppertunity for a movie score

  • WOW!

  • how long have you been composing music for film ??

  • @WeaponApocalypse About since around 2009. I started using Garageband and then Logic Pro.

  • interesting composition Terique, sounds really good.

  • Cool, there ARE more ways to make millions off music other than doing pop.

  • Dude, sick.

  • Do you use the composition program called, "Finale"? If not, what composition program do you currently use to actually write the music?

  • Hey, thanks for the video. Nice work!!!

  • nice! u rock man!

  • This is a true distinction music exclusive

  • nice! where is that choir pad from?

  • im really wanting to start my own movie score recording studio but i dont know where to start with equiptment....any advice?

  • this makes me want to throw a car at somebody

  • Nice work! Sounds great.

  • WOW

  • nice to see a brotha doin his thing on the keys!

  • @kashchei2003 Way to racially profile a composer, two thumbs way down...

  • @bunker8digitallabs racially profile? wtf? how so, because I said "brotha"? LOL I'm black... and I'm a composer as well, AND I write in the same style as Tgreenfi08. There are only a handful of African Americans that I know of who do this, so from one to another I said it's nice to see someone else doing it too.... so how is that deserving of two thumbs way down?

  • @kashchei2003 Then you should have given some context to your comment. Now that you have, all is forgiven.

  • @bunker8digitallabs I don't mean to be argumentative on this nice Sunday morning, but with all due respect I don't think my comment needed extra context to be understood as it wasn't intended for you, but for Tgreenfi08

  • That sounds EPIC

  • nintendo ds!

  • You have a lot of talent man keep it up...

  • OMG! you are awesome man... If you dont get to score a film in the next 5 years i will eat my own ass..

  • wow!! sounds epic!! o.0!!.... by the way what keyboard are you using?? i've been looking for a keyboard but.. looks like all the keybrds i found have some problem....which one you recommend me???

  • @rv9801 M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 because its weighted. Good luck!

  • @Tgreenfi08 oh really ?? but i've read that the kystation doesn't have aftertouch and i also read that for film scoring it's kind of necessary the aftertouch is it true?? thank's

  • @Tgreenfi08 ..I hated the keybed on the ProKeys 88. Are the keys any better on the Keystation Pro 88? Can you compare them to something in the digital piano line? Line a Yamaha or a Roland? I have no access to to try one out in India. They are shipped to order :(

  • Wow! Left this tab open. Listened to it about 10times in 2hours

  • mate you are the sickest!!!! you need to score that shit over some hip hop. you don't even need a sample bank... you are a true visionary on those keys!!! cinematic hip hop for the win. and remember who gave you the idea :) xxxx

  • Dam I gotta get to this level asap. Do you use pro tools?

  • Very good my friend . May i ask what are you using for synths / strings etc ?

  • This is awesome!!!! I've always been amazed how people come up with film score, its so much different than looping music like pop and rap! this is pure imagination

  • This is great man. i may have to contact you for some tips and advice on constructing a composition.

  • THIS IS AUTOMATIC TOUGH

  • I think you will be the right person to make music for movie trailers? This sounds great!

  • Inspiring sounds right there. Dope!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Awesome, man! Do you have a website or anything? How often do you score films?

  • @poklar my website is tdmss.com So far I have not actually scored a film, but written for music libraries that films pull from. I would love that opportunity though.

  • @Tgreenfi08 : Which music libraries?

  • Great Job!

I have done my first little compo with EWSQLSO Gold and SD 2.

If you want to see it,thanks!

    regards

  • amazing! what drum were you using? is it from tone hammer? did you customize the drum pad assignment yourself?

  • @raywong2 Strings come from Vienna Symphonic Library.. horns are already in logic, and also epic horns from vienna symphonic. Drums come mostly from EastWest's Stormdrum 2. For drums, I just EQ it to get the best sound. The pad assignment doesn't really matter.. I just used my keyboard. Thanks for listening!

  • @Tgreenfi08 Do you use any samples from Symphobia at all?

  • amazing!!!!!! love it- i felt it
