yep that's hiram maxim - trademark hat and white beard - he was a hell of a salesman as well as an engineer. That's obviously a very early model working with black powder instead of post 1890? depending on the country smokless powder. The effectiveness of the maxim would have been much less if not for smokeless powder, wonderful little clip. Thanks for sharing

Well the gun you see here is not simply a "Maxim gun" its a Maxim Nordenfeldt 1895 the first maxim gun had a much smaller water cooling
