Anyway in Italian it's correct: Buon Compleanno is as common as tanti auguri (but u can say tanti auguri for all, even for Christmas time for example, that's why someone says: tanti auguri di buon compleanno!) ciaoo!

"Alles Gute zum Geburtstag" is very very common. You also can say: "Herlzichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag"
