  • Cheerio mate, many thanx for the reply...

  • salut quel tirant utilises-tu? je joue en DADDAD pour le moment.

    merci

  • how does it sound REALLY? What sort of amp do you use...

  • It's written in the comment: I used a Hugues & Kettner Silver Edition amplifier...

And as you almost asked for it, I made a second video that should be more explicit... Just check my youtube page.

  • Hi,nice blues sound.Just wondering if you play any country sounds on this lap steel and does it sound as good? Thanks

  • Hi... You can get country sounds pretty easily from it if the amplifier is settled to get such sounds... I'm not much of country player but I already tried to obtain such sounds with the lap plugged on a tonelab and it works fine!

The limit in how-countryish your sound will be will probably be due to the P90 pick-ups... To me country sounds tends to be clean... P90 pickups tends to be easily crunchy/distorted...

  • I know this song !!! :P:) It's a roling stone's song "you gotta move (jack)" :P:)

  • The first part is a Robert Johnson - Come on in my kitchen cover I think... Johnson was very popular during the blues revival so maybe the Rolling Stones covered him. I dunno if the "next" song (or sequence let's say) is a Rolling stones tune, because I'm not a big fan of this band. Maybe :P

  • Actually it's "you gotta move" - Mississippi Fred McDowell tune which was covered by the Stones in Sticky Fingers album.

  • Oh... All these blues artists covering themselves over and over xD ! I listened to both of the tunes mentionned and they're very similar, that's the way traditionnal music is made. I wonder how all these delta blues artists made music like that and put so much soul in it that it's always a new story to hear. Blues forever ;) !

  • Bonjour

A good sound so I bought one. What tuning are you using? (Quel accord ?)

  • On this video the lapsteel is tuned in DADF#AD... Pretty common and versatile tuning ;-)

  • Thanks I thought so. I'm just struggling with C6.

  • Pleased to find this, have the same lap steel on the way, figured at the price it couldn't hurt to try it. Nice sound you seem to have got there.

  • Nice job!

  • You've got to move !!!!!!
