can try a non obvious location see if it works for you i was just sying your comments re" the edges and using the marker....just brought that memory up ;) im actually thinking of building my first gunpla....... i tend to like those models that look less like a person and more like a tank squished onto a robots body. sigh so many things i want to do so little time sigh
@painkillersclan cool thanks man! now that I think about it, pencil would probably be a really good idea. I'm gonna also try this panel lining paint Tamiya has. It's diluted enamel grey paint (the proper ratio of water to paint). It also comes with a little, tiny brush; much like the glue applicator they have.
YaHobby dot com is the website I go to to look at different models. It has a large selection and very detailed pictures. You can buy from there if you want, but I wouldn't because I'm pretty sure it's directly from china and shipping takes for ever. I order mine from Amazon, once I know which one I want.
ive never built a gunpla but ive put together quite a few models of several types. from huge planes wing span as tall as i to miniatures for tabletop games. cars boats im doing a pirate ship right now from lindburg The Jolly Rodger. anyways one pro tip i picked up from old time train and plane builders is using a mechanical pencil for those simulated junctions works wonders. you can control the light and dark a lot better than with a brush. or marker. ;) love those gundams tho.
@painkillersclan That's a great idea. I should give that a try. The only thing I worry about is some of the white gundams. Pencil might look obviously like pencil on bright white. But I'll give it a shot.
