kind of, both games are good. but in my opinion, stalker is best. stalker has a lot of atmosphere compared to fallout, well they are different anyway. actually now that i think about it both games are wuite similar, both fps/rpg's, both have that kind of torn feel, both have addictive gameplay. i guess stalker is played around a real event that happened and has more realistic gameplay than fallout3. both games are fairly similar though. good graphics and gameplay and story in both

yeah id say they are similar, just stalker is a little more, creepier than fallout and more towards first person shooters than role play, make sure you can run the game first though before you can buy it

How the hell did you get the game THAT dark?

When I play and its dark, its still light o-0 its so UN-dark.

It could be the brightness I suppose but that would turn EVERYTHING down = (

Btw great video. It's a brilliant mod indeed. The ONLY thing I didn't like was when you want to zoom with the right button it only puts the gun / mgun higher @ eye level but it doesn't "zoom" the image itself. The bullets also work much better! It's what I liked most and less stuttering(?) as well. Anyone repeating s.t.a.l.k.e.r should try it with Oblivion Lost - a must have!

thanks. The stuff from this mod is getting adopted in Call of Pripyat. Things like sleeping iron sights and yes zooming when using iron sights will be there as well i believe.

The OL mod made STALKER into one of the best games ever (in my opinion). Am replaying with the new combined version that adds the extreme graphics mode and the overhauled weather.

I think the renderer in x-ray engine is very advanced, having said that, the version we see here is from 2007,(latest being 1.5 with DirectX 10) The way it is used is also quite successful. On the technical side, the renderer does not support AA for example, but this has proven not to be a real drawback.

In the end, I am not quite sure what exactly do you mean by "good graphics". For example, texture details, model details, animation, post, or a particular area in the level.

Hell if those facts weren't in some web page almost no one would talk about those "useless" details like "old engine" "new engine" "version 1.0" to "ver. 10.00001". Just details... In the end the gameplay is what it counts. Quake and Duke3D are way old and still great games. STALKER is another good game. But peeps say it's not good because it runs on "old engine" - the very same damn useless detail - to me that's not a valid argument. Sometimes peeps never played the games just read webpages...

Oh. Also those very same peeps have a tendency to click and comment every video which in it's title has the words 9600gt 9800 etc etc and "overclocked" - or any other hardware name. Believe me guys. Go and check out the number of views and comments and rates as well on videos where the title includes any hardware name especially graphics cards RAM and CPU (or MHz not hardware but related to speed or overclock). Another trolls will type "will this game run on my PC? with XRam XCpu XgFXmb"?
