I'll back you up. By 1998, Taylor and Ridge were split up and he was back with Brooke. Taylor and Thorne were together and she became pregnant with Thomas.

Yes but Ridge and Taylor got back together and were married during this time Thomas was already here when this episode aired. If you look at the video about the aftermath of this conference you will see that Taylor and Ridge were married at the launch of Brooke's bedroom line.
