appreciation of beautiful places, things and people is wonderful, but, even more wonderful is deliberately focusing into appreciation when these things are "apparently lacking" in the present moment. One of my favourite thoughts is " oh sod it! I'm just going to be ridiculously happy for no reason, anyway despite anything I see or don't see lol"

@homebuiltindoorplane Oh, my goodness, I was just browsing some videos and saw this note! I had no idea there was one here for me. The funny thing is, the scene you described is EXACTLY what I think of whenever I'm asked to "picture" myself in an ideal scene. Some people go to the beach in their imaginations; I fall asleep in front of a fireplace on a snowy day. Thanks for the surprise! Merry Christmas!
