This was included on the ROL cd single in the U.S. I agree, M is a serious artist & has been for quite some time, regardless of what the detractors say. I spoke w/ Nile Rodgers in 2004 at a seminar - he said M was always underrated as an artist. Also, while recording LAV, she scheduled studio time early in the AM, which was tough for those who partied the nite b4. She was very disciplined. I don't think WO is the only artist in all of this, I know he's a part, but one can observe that M has BECOME an artist in her own right from the Like A Virgin days. She's stretched herself creatively when she didn't have to, she's broadened her musical scope, lyrics and subject matter matured tremendously and I think that M must be given credit where credit is due. I just don't believe that WO is the only artist in the mix. I do believe that M is an artist and she does contribute to her art.

If you listen to the original version, which was probably written by Madonna, it has a sing-song quality but the end product was a song that sounded much more conversational and confessional.
