Allah Jilai Bai was born on 1Feb, 1902. Music was a family heirloom ,she sang in Maharaj Ganga Singh Ji's durbar for the first time in 1912, Her style impressed his majesty so much so that she got the privilege of being the only singer to sing solo in the durbars., Her 'Kesaria Baalam' still allures music lovers across the world , She won many national and international awards during her lifetime,She got 'Padma Shree', in 1972 by the President On Nov-03, 1992 she left for the heavenly abode .

sadly no one from her family member continue her lagancy, but now there is a music acadmey in bikaner in allha jillai bai name ,tht teach maand & other indian classical music  ,they organise music festival ever year on her name and also distibute prizes and awards for the upcoming gud singers !!

"helo dete laaj maru, ne jhalo masoo diyo na jaye" A newly married women saying to her husband,who is sitting along with so many peple that Helo dete laaj maru- tum to aawaj lagate/bulate sharam aate hai or Jhalo- Issara ....masoo diyo na jaye...me de nahi sakte .

further she says- bolu to phoochu nahi.me agar balu bhe to mere aawaj tere tak nahi phochege, or helo dete laaj maru....or joor se aawaj lagane me sharam aate hai, me chate hu ke me tere se kuch dar baat karu. (Thanks 2 Aajat. )
