Actually, it's in reference to the hit 1997 movie "Selena", starring Jennifer Lopez. If you look carefully at the scene in the room, you'll spot a life size cut out of Ben Affleck but with no face, a clear nod to Ms. Lopez.
I feel quite sad that I've gotten some of the in-jokes through the series.
I didn't make the connection with the snow and Batman Returns that someone else said; but Edward Nashton, the name of the Riddler, was the original name in the comics (I think), and was also featured in a cameo in the Dark Knight viral marketing.
Loads of others as well. Brilliantly written and planned series.
sorry if I should know, but what's up with him with the red hood and cape thing when he's acting like joker?? ASIDE from that this series is AWESOME!! :D
Also, I don't know if it's on purpose, but I like how it seems that when in costume, Batman doesn't really move his neck - he moves like the character does in the films, even though he's not wearing bulky armor.
I think that is a referance to all the earlyer Batman films. Before The Dark Knight none of the Batmen could move their heads because of the foam rubber cowl prevented it.....
Christ I know too much....
Still, brillaint series. Even Batsy got hit by the snow now, ominous indeed!
Lol nothing says solving a crime more than deleting the text message distress call and de-icing your car before hitting the scene of the crime! Very good I loved it!
is this thelast episode before the finale

Ooh, okay mate, it'll have to be jammed pack of action considering the ending to this episode was so broad. May I ask when it'll be uploaded?

Hypermonkey - The Joker has a long backstory in the Batman genre; he was originally The Red Hood. Google Joker Red Hood and you'll get the gag.
There are quite a few Batman-geek-only gags in the whole series; one of these guys is a genuine, real Batman fan, methinks!

"We could test the Bat Brick."
"You broke his arm - he ain't gonna like you any more!"
"Quality?" "Oh, there it is."
"He plays a lot of cricket."
"Crime? I don't think so, it's a snow day!"
"You know, you should learn to smile more." "And you, you should learn to block more!" "What?" (Wallop!)
Love it!
I should be getting bored now, but I'm not!

The whole cold opening with the texts was brilliant.
"We're going to be the mayors of arse-rape city."
"Sew my seeds around town."
Hah, brilliant, worth the wait.
