Today, a few of us were hanging out in a dorm room, I had never even held one of these before, I'd heard of them, anyway, and I don't consider myself a genius, in the words of the guy who brought it, "OK, I'm gonna screw it up and then you guys try" long story short, first time it took me about 2 to 2.5 minutes, second time about 2 minutes, third time about 90 seconds. Does anyone know what percentage of people can solve them (without cheating)how long does it usually take?

Well, there is one I know, Buy 2 cubes, show all your friends; scramble one. Get a miniature curtain which is held up by some miniature scaffolding. Get a suit. Show them your sleeves that there is nothing inside. Show the scaffolding which is see through and place curtain on it. SHow them 1 cube(keep the other in your suit jacket pocket). Take the shown cube and smash it. Place hands behind curtain and pull out the other cube and place it in the curtain. Pull out solved cube, TA-DA, Magic. lol

i have a way of solving the cube, its not the fastest, but it works, it basically makes it to where you have only edges to solve at the end of the method. and when i solve edges i solve them very intuitively. Without any type of instruction or set of moves to do, you (have to) improvise and figure something out on your own, and that is exactly what i did. My best records are: 3x3 cube: 26 seconds, average 1min 30sec-3 minutes 2x2 cube:10 seconds, average 40 seconds-1min 30 seconds

there is an addition that can be made to the exmple where you take it apart but it depended on the manufacturer of the puzzle. Some cubes had a screw under one of the centre peices of the cube. You would have to peel away the sticker first and then carefully prise of trhe plastic cap covering the screw. Once this was done , loosen the screw until the pieces come apart easily. once you have them back in place then tighten it up again.
