I have a 2 year old beagle puppy, got her when she was a few weeks old (her mom got runned over). Shes brown and white, we named her... Sadie Rose. We loved the song and Jamie Dailey sung the version we had, so her name is Sadie :)
@FenderBuster woo hoo!!! i love the Claremore Bluegrass and Chili Festival, i been going to that since 1992 when i was in Tulsa its what i look forward to all year, and i live in Albuquerque!!!! its quite a long drive
@CToon123 I totally agree 100%! No one knows the power of their shows unless you see them live. You can hardly find bands these days that puts their heart into what they are singing. Jamie Dailey, Darrin Vincent and the others do that. When they sing Gospel songs, there's not a dry eye in the place. DL&Q hasnt been the same since Jamie & Barry left. I still love to hear DL&Q and always will.
Such a great band. I just got through seeing them a month ago. I was laughing and cutting it up and telling jokes with the Dobro player in the Campgrounds were the Bands Stayed. I happend to be talking with Doyle and The dobro player but I didnt realize at the time who they were. It was funny cause their tour bus was right next to our campsite. When they came out I was like "Oh its you guys" and they laughed and smiled and said see you on stage.. :) He was the guy at 2:31
Listen close and you can hear Jamie loud and clear in the background during the chorus. It is different without Jamie, but Darren is an awesome singer and does a great job on this song, IMHO.
I agree, it kind of perpetuates stupid ideas about bluegrass. Honestly I love Lawson's new band because Josh Swift can SHRED on Dobro. I just hope Doyle returns to his awesome material like "Up on the Blueridge" and "Carolina in the Pines" . The band is still awesome but it I agree it could use a little less 'cornball shenanigans' and a little more sincerity. I hope that makes sense...
(BTW I know this vid was supposed to by funny, it just too hokey for my taste...)
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this video and the way that it let's us imagine that it's a possible continuation of the last DL&QS video(Dig a Little Deeper). Sadie's all grown up now. Genius concept. I'm sold.
Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver is the best!

Quicksilver isn't any good without Jamie, in my opinion. The torch's been passed---Dailey and Vincent are the best bluegrass band touring now.
