Led Zeppelin are an awesome band, but in my view, Queen was far more diverse, had a stronger overall catalog of music, and most importantly, while Robert Plant and Jimmy Page were amazing, I honestly think Freddie Mercury and Brian May blew them out of the water in pure talent.
@poopmaster13 IMHO didn't quite blow Robert and Jimmy out the water-equals if a bit different. No doubt though Freddie and Brian were an explosive talent!
this solo started in 74 on sheer heart attack album and brian has added bits to it through the years he has said he hasnt really finished the final cut and its 2008 fucking amazing!!!!!
Actually the first version of this solo was in the song Blag by smile in the late 60's, but the most popular released version was on the Sheer Heart Attack album. Either way, it's a fucking amazing solo.
Ive listned to Queen sinci I was 5 but i never thought they were this big at that age. I only played Queen greatest hits 1 and liked bohemian rhapsody best. But now i like almost all cds and songs. Favorit is Liar and Drowse.
I had never really heard of Queen until right before I saw them, that week. A college aquaintence mentioned he was going not to see Mott so much as Queen. I said, "Queen"? Ok, great, I will see.
Was only available officially briefly on the Box of Tricks UK box set on VHS. this show was not ever officially released on DVD as of yet. Don't buy anything from Tommygun as his DVDs are rips from Queen's torrents with the sound tweaked.
74-75, those were the days, they were good after that too...but whoa. I saw them live then too in Kansas, Memorial Hall opening for Mott. Both blew everyone further away.
Damn... He was sexy.

I love this song since I am 14. Now I am 37 and still get goosebumps, if I listen to the live version of BR.
Thank you Brian for this masterpeace of music.

Quite possibly the best high-profile concert of Queen's early career. This concert SO needs to be released as an official Queen-sanctioned DVD.
wvoutlaw2002 4 years ago
they want in 2008, 1 of the 2 Queenconcerts on dvd: Budapest or Live At Rainbow, the most Queen vans want Live at Rainbow, we will see
